I had 3 rings with diamonds in them (My grandmother's, my mother's (both deceased) and my own) and wanted them merged into one ring I could wear all the time on my right hand. I also had a couple unused misc gold necklaces plus the gold from the 3 ring settings. I've dealt with Jeffery Scott Fine Jewelers before so I brought all my rings and unused gold items. Together he helped me pick out a unique setting to hold 5 diamonds. He was able to melt and use the gold form the 3 rings and unused necklaces in creating the new setting. I expected to wait at least 2 weeks or so for the new ring but in 10 days they called me and it was all ready. The new ring is absolutely gorgeous and I got a nice appraisal with it so I could schedule it with my insurance company. The first major purchase I made at Jeffrey Scott was a set of inside-out diamond hoop earrings. I'd always wanted a large set with high-quality diamonds, and was thrilled to buy them here. Next, I brought in my diamond engagement ring to give the center stone a new "home." It turned out far better than I expected... you almost need to put on sunglasses to look at it! The final step in a divorce is to get your rings redesigned instead of letting them sit in a jewelry box. I brought in my rings and Jeff and Irene spent time to figure out what I really wanted rather than just resetting my stone into a setting in their display case. Stopped in to JSFJ on whim to inquire about two pieces of jewelry I needed to have repaired... Without skipping a beat, the owner Jeffrey repaired the chain catch on my sterling silver bracelet. We visited while he worked, and in the end I left with a repaired bracelet and a referral to a local beader with expertise in the kind of work the other item required. Jefferey was the most wonderful, professional, and kindest among I have ever met. Today I walked in with my watch. I recently bought the second hand watch. This watch had a clasp which did not work. Jeff fixed this clasp and he adjusted several times for me. This took only 5 or 10 minutes, and he did not charge me at all. When I asked him why, he answered with a very gentle smile telling me that he liked to fix. I assume it was a small job for him, but to me, it was a great gift!!!! We stopped by and saw Jeffrey and Ray at the BNP Paribas Tennis in Indian Wells 6 years ago and come back every year to add to our bracelet collection. The best, most accommodating jeweler I have ever dealt with! Jeff put AAA quality emeralds in my wedding ring without charging more than the estimate he gave me for AA quality. Lime lollipop green! Also did 3 quick repairs on other pieces and didn't charge me a cent extra. My first time into Mr. Scott's shop was to have a clasp fixed on my gold-clad chain. It was more difficult than I imagined because Mr. Scott told me that because it was not pure gold the chain might discolor if soldered. He worked very hard and long on that chain-in fact I figured it was a goner. But lo and behold, he fixed it, and then refused any payment!
