This summer I had the pleasure of working with Rob on a custom engagement ring for my fiancée. I used KB to do an appraisal of a ring and earrings and could not have been more happy with the service I received. They were helpful, patient and stayed in contact during the appraisal period and even returned my jewelry to me cleaned and sparkling. The price was also very fair comparative to other jewelry stores I contacted. Although I have not purchased any items from the store, they appear to have a great selection of really unique pieces. This is hands down our favorite jewelry store and we've been to a lot of them. The first thing that struck us was the warm welcome we received walking through the door. This is a father and son business and it's immediately obvious that it's a labor of love. Absent was the high pressure sales approach that is all too common these days. In its place we found a staff more than ready to help in any way they could but also totally respectful that the jewelry shopping experience is usually a very personal one that shouldn't be rushed. And in this store it would be so hard to be rushed. They have a very large and amazingly varied jewelry selection that always seems to have just what we're looking for. Whether a custom design incorporating heirloom diamonds or a beautifully rich band of matched blue precious stones we left their store with the feeling that we had purchased something truly unique, not just one more copy of an internet SKU. Oh, and all of the design, sizing and repair work is done right in their shop so their turnarounds are quicker and there is no risk of loss in transit. In addition, when they've done service work for us they've routinely gone out of their way to meet our ambitious scheduling needs without making us feel like we were in way a bother. I brought a 56 gram herringbone chain that I had worn around my neck for over 25 years to KB Jewelers to have the clasp replaced. When I picked it up, I immediately noticed it was lighter than when I dropped it off, and thinner in thickness (not width). So much so, that I even suspected it had been switched, I was so upset. As I was arguing with the owner, he mentioned he had spent "over an hour buffing out all the scratches"!, and "some of them were very deep". I never asked him to buff out the scratches, I asked him to fix the clasp! It is one thing to clean it up a bit, it is entirely another thing to polish/buff almost 1/2 of its weight off! I weighed the necklace when I got home, it now only weighs 33 grams! Now I know where the other 23 grams of gold are! (They were removed through grinding them off to get it to look scratch-free and brand new, which I never asked for!) (As an aside, I fully believe it wasn't switched. I believe he got carried away, and never considered my point of view.) Think about it, any time you buff/polish anything, you are removing a little of the surrounding material to level off the scratches. In 6 months, the gold will not look just polished, and there will be new scratches, but I will never get back the 23 grams of gold that he sanded/polished/buffed off, just to make it look good for the unveiling. Even though it did look brand new when he pulled it out of the envelope, it wasn't worth it for me to lose 23 grams of gold in the process!!! After being in business that many years, he should have known better than to polish a necklace for over an hour of grinding away MY gold!!! To add insult to injury, he charged me almost $300! For a box clasp! I will be looking for another jeweler. read more

7 years ago, Khoren and Rob at KB Jewelers made a custom engagement ring for me that my now wife absolutely fell in love with. A year later, they made a custom wedding band that fit the engagement ring perfectly. Fast forward to now, my wife and I now have two sons. I wanted to make something special for her for her birthday so I had Rob make a custom necklace pendant with our sons' names and birthstones. Each time I have had them make me something the process has been seamless. For this most recent necklace, I gave Rob 4 photos of 4 different pendants. I liked part of each pendant and Rob took each part and made it into one. He designed it digitally and would send me photos at each step. Any changes I wanted, I would tell him and he would happily make the changes. Once I was 100% happy with it, he had the digital file 3D printed into the wax pendant. That wax pendant was then cast into gold. He hand-picked all the diamonds and the two birthstones and placed them perfectly onto the pendant. He then sent me a list of chains he would recommend and I picked my favorite. The final product is amazing. When I gave it to my wife, she cried and hasn't taken it off her neck ever since. She absolutely loves it. I would HIGHLY recommend KB Jewelers for any jewelry needs. You will not find a better jeweler. This father/son duo is top notch. They have made the three most important pieces of jewelry I have needed in my life and my wife and I could not be happier. They will be my jeweler for life. read more

Great Gem in Bedford! I came here because of the previous reviews. I had issues with a ring I own and the owner took care of it right there in the store. I had been to a couple of different jewelers prior and they had to send it out to fix and would have taken 3 weeks, because it was a "special circumstance" and they couldn't fix it in the store. This jeweler took care of it in 20 minutes!! While waiting for my ring, I looked around and saw some pretty cool pieces that I hadn't seen in other jewelry stores. They were very professional and courteous and I actually ended up picking up this awesome piece for my wife as well!! I'll be coming back for future repairs and fine pieces. I brought my watch in here because I was having trouble replacing the battery myself with the EXACT same battery Khoren had put in the watch some time ago. He denied that it was the type of battery he had put in, and said it was the incorrect battery for this watch...huh ?
