The owner reached out following this review and was so sweet. She offered us a revised facial with a different esthetician. It was like night and day! I guess it really depends on which esthetician you go with. This time, I did go to the Costa Mesa location which I did like a bit more in terms of the size and parking. Chloe was my esthetician and was SO great! She was definitely "stronger" with her facial techniques and put a lot more into extractions and even the products that were used. She also walked me through what she was doing so it didn't just feel like I was getting my face washed...but was actually getting a treatment. I'm super impressed with the professionalism of the business. I didn't really have an interest in coming back but the owner was very kind, persistent, and I ended up signing up for a membership, lol! Booked Facial Lounge Costa Mesa BECAUSE they advertise "non-toxic/clean/organic." My wife has very sensitive skin and we live a non-toxic lifestyle and to ensure this - my wife even brought her own products. She told the front desk, and they reassured her their products are vetted and they take "non-toxic" seriously, so she trusted them. During the facial, they applied a product that was visibly blue. After the service, the technician recommended the same product...so my wife asked to see the ingredients. Only then did we learn the product contains synthetic TOXIC dye/blue coloring and other ingredients that don't align with "organic/non-toxic" marketing that is ALL over their blogs and website - after it had already been smeared all over her face. Skin is the largest organ in the body, and with her sensitivity this is not a small issue. This was also for my wife's birthday, and instead of feeling cared for, she left feeling misled and completely violated. Our trust is broken. She brought her own products to use but they ensured that they could be trusted...... I emailed management and never received a response...3 weeks later, still nothing. read more

Yelp Facial Lounge I came here as part of a yelp elite and I was pleasantly surprised! This is a great lounge to relax and tend to your skin care needs. PARKING / TRAFFIC Since this is in the heart of Newport Beach, on the border of CDM, you will need to allocate time for traffic. There is a small parking lot behind the studio with less than 20 spots. When I came on a Tuesday evening, there were about 3 spots. There is also neighborhood parking next to the parking center, and street parking. EXPERIENCE This place is extremely clean and spotless! Once you park, it is easy to spot. It is located on the second floor. They offer a variety of services, including but not limited to 25 minute facials, 1 hour facials, derma planing, waxing and more. I had the 25 minute facial which gives you a little bit of everything: a cleanse, a mask, red light therapy, nose cleaning, and ends with a refreshing cool glass roller on your face. The staff here is extremely professional! At the end of the facial, they give you a glass bottle of water and show you the different products that are used LOCATION(S) They are opening a new Costa Mesa location, and parking will be easier at this one! I highly recommend going there if you're nervous about parking. They will have a few of the same facialists there in the new location. read more

If they taught lessons in customer service in a back room, I'd recommend it to every employer. Let's start with reserved parking in Corona del Mar. Yes. Stepping inside the waiting area and having a super easy check-in process on the touchscreen. Chilling out in the cutest waiting room ever with signs like "Siri remove my makeup" which made me giggle and gave me the impression they take skin care very seriously but don't take themselves too seriously :). I was asked by two employees if I wanted water or anything while I waited for my esthetician - thanks for making me feel so cared for. Also had a chance to listen to them care well for a difficult customer while I was waiting and they handled it so graciously. This was all before my facial and I was already impressed. Lindsey was my esthetician and she was wonderful! She hit that perfect balance between talking to me about my skin (knowledgeable and gracious) and letting me relax under her hands, which were expert! Wow, can they get a lot done in a 30 min facial! Favorite bliss-out moments were the papaya mask and the mini massage. I left with a reusable bottle of water, a new cleanser, and a desire to make this a regular spot. I really like that they offer both a la carte menu of services as well as a monthly membership for those of us who want/need the regular rhythm of facials. I went the other day for a Yelp event, which was so kind of the business to host. The place is a small business on the second floor in New Port Beach. The parking is a bit hard, but they do have a few spots in the back of the building. I was greeted immediately when walking in and checked in. They have a cute "hidden room " to wait in. I had the 30 minute mini facial and it was amazing. The esthetician was so professional and explained everything she was doing. I'm glad I went as I tend to neglect my face. I tend to just get massages, but it is very important to take care of everything about yourself. I would recommend this place to renew, revive and restore yourself. My first time here as my friend wanted to book a group appointment a week before her wedding. I never do facials but why not treat yourself? Anyway they have a fantastic way for preparation with their communication. I'm saying emails with waiver and information and text messages with welcomes, directions, confirmation. It was extremely helpful for the directions since I found parking immediately and wasn't stressed out. Immediately greeted upon walking into the lobby. Checked in and waited for my friend in their waiting room that's through a cute little bookcase hideaway door. (The lobby smells fantastic, it was the first thing I noticed when walking in). My esthetician was Amber. She greeted me and walked me to the room which was dark and spa like. She offered me a Velcro wrap around towel to dress down to have access to above my shoulders for the service. The bed they have you lay on has a heated blanket or something because it's cozy af. I don't do facials often so it was nice to have Amber customize as she observed my skin and offer my options on how she would recommend treating it. I was interested in dermaplaning and expressed my fears with potentially a blade near my face...I was anxious to say the least. Amber was a total professional and talked me through it and continued to chat with me to keep me from tensing up. In the end, the entire facial was relaxing and I can see why people choose to come regularly. The only thing I would change is the tinted sun screen was an odd color and made my face look silly. As a first time customer they offered me a discount on certain things. (Note I didn't specify since I'm not sure if this is an always thing). This was my first facial experience ever and it was INCREDIBLE! Rachel went above and beyond to make sure my experience was amazing. First of all, the office space is gorgeous. As soon as you walk you feel the zen illuminating from wall to wall. I loved the decor, their product wall is luxurious and as their logo says, everything is pure, vegan, and organic. Rachel walked me back to my room and asked me to lie down on this super comfortable treatment bed. As Rachel started working away, she walked me through each step of the process which I appreciated since this was my first time. She recommended a Dermaplaning session for my skin and it was an experience. Dermaplaning is when they feather a sterile surgical blade across your skin to exfoliate dead skin cells and debris. This also gently removes unwanted peach fuzz. I loved the immediate glow it gave my skin and it didn't hurt at all. And even though I hadn't booked an eyebrow wax when I called in, she still took the time to do so and did a fantastic job! Rachel, you might have just gotten me addicted to facials... I literally had so many questions about my skin and about which products I should be using. She was so extremely nice and patient and answered everything and more!! She even took the time to show me products after my facial. (I was actually very needy asking all these questions) but she never made me feel rushed. I have not gotten a facial, but I have been using their acne treatments. I started breaking out really bad and I never knew the reason why because I have always had very clear skin. I went through so many different products and nothing worked. Amber recommended me some of their products and my skin started clearing up finally. There's still some redness and bumps that I am trying to get rid of, but overall my skin has gotten so much better. It really made my confidence go up. I also want to add in that Amber was the most helpful person I had met. She was honest and provided the upmost service that anyone could ask for. I went in to get my products and texted her that I received them, and she actually called me to make sure it all went smoothly and to verify the directions given to me were correct even though she was sick. A cozy spa located at a small corner off the coast highway with parking in the back. Not much to this particular plaza but don't underestimate this facility. The waiting area is bright and comfortable. The treatment room is warm and inviting. The aesthician for today was named Tricia and she conducted the 30-minute mini facial. She was firm but gentle with a facial massage, a wash, and a papaya pineaple enyzme scrub to peel off any residual dead skin. Upon finishing it made the skin firmer, smoother, and when supplemented with a LED light mask balanced out the tone of the skin. The session concluded with a brief massage and then application of sunscreen and moisturizer. The only negative thing to say is was too brief but a great place to treat and spoil your loved ones. read more

I was in need of a new place to get my Brazilians. And more specifically wanted someone who could work with hard wax. When I called the first time the front desk seem to be a little scattered. But I'm sure they were just busy. I ended up booking online with Leah, and she was absolutely amazing! I know Brazilians aren't the greatest feeling during the process. But this has been the first Brazilian I've had it with the least amount of pain. The room was in what I'm sure they used for facials as well, but when I walked in it was so calming, and the lights were dimmed which made me feel a little more comfortable than any other place I've been to where the lights are just blinding you.
