While it seems my experience is an outlier, there is something off putting about being asked to sign a "refund agreement" for filler I not only had to get dissolved because it migrated, but had to pay an additional $5500 to get it dissolved elsewhere using ultrasound because the filler had migrated so much. The notion that the filler had migrated at all, let alone that it migrated as much as I was suggesting, was continually met with doubt and skepticism. Thus the dissolving sessions offered by Dr Sam at the Melrose location, were often done in fraction and from a place that felt more like placation than the sincerity of being believed. Throughout my experience, I repeatedly communicated that the left side of my face was completely numb, and that I suspected the filler might have migrated, but it took weeks before anyone would agree to dissolve any filler. I was scared, hurting, and hardly sleeping from the discomfort, but not once did I respond with anger or as someone seeking to pursue any sort of legal action. My personal texts with the manager, May, as well as my emails were all very friendly, and in my last email exchange with the Owner, Dr Sam and May, I requested a refund because, the offer to have the filler re-done by Dr. Sam was not something I was interested in, nor did I think I would want it any time soon so could I just have a refund instead. If they were willing to re-do the filler, which cost product, then a refund didn't seem out of the question, but this request triggered the need for a "refund agreement", one that would have prevented me from leaving this review. read more

This was my first time doing any sort of more "invasive" skin treatments at all. I've never done any injections at all (no Botox or filler) or any sort of laser or needling. My review will be about a facial service they provide. Since they have many 5 star reviews, my situation might be an unfortunate and one time incident, so I m trying to be as understanding as possible but I have been suffering for almost a year now. So, I feel obligated to write in case someone else has a sensitive like mine. Since I got my very first facial ever from this business, I had seen 5 different dermatologist and am still trying to get back to the skin I had before the facial. After the blackhead extraction, my skin almost immediately starting having little bumps on the areas they use the pimple popper tool (I don't know if that's what it is called but the little stick looking metal tool). I went there again for a solution, they said it must be temporary and they recommended micro needling. We did that too but unfortunately the bumps wouldn't go away. After a few days, all the bumps started turning into achy and itchy cystic acne, (keep in mind I am 29 and have been lucky enough to never suffer from acne problem in my life), all those little pumps eventually became cystic acne that turned into dark purple scars. And I m still dealing with the scars and the pumps that never went away. It has been very challenging 8-10 months, and I honestly don't know when this will be over. I cried so much for this and I just want to warn anyone out there planing to get a facial. I think regardless of the place, if you have a sensitive skin, you absolutely need to be very careful with what kind of facial you are getting. Skin problems have massive affect on self confidence. I would do anything to get my skin back but I honestly don't know what to do. read more
