So you pick a bunch of stuff but have no idea how much it costs. So you go up to a cashier and honestly it seems like they are making up the prices at the registers. I took a can of cookies up to the cashier to ask her how much it was she told me $2. I said ok put it in my cart and continued shopping. After I was ready to check out i noticed a different cashier rang up the tin of cookies $3. When I told her the other cashier told me it was $2. She said ok and I thought she took the $3 off but when I looked at the receipt she did not take the $3 dollar charge off and in turn actually charged me $5 for a $2 can of cookies that by the way expired 2 weeks ago. So be careful make sure you are watching the cashiers, your receipts and the expiration dates on the products. Make sure you are actually getting a deal and not triple charged for some old expired products.

I've been to my fair share of thrift stores/consignment shops over the years. But of all the…read morevarious independent businesses as well as the more well known businesses (Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc.), I will say that "Superior Thrift" is just that, superior! Located in the heart of Stockton and at the corner of N. Wilson Way and adjacent to Pinchot St., this is the #1 thrift store in Stockton that has served its customers for many decades. Since it was my first time going here, several thoughts crossed my mind; curiosity, eagerness, and a ton of hidden gems that I knew I would take home. For starters, this place is HUGE as it takes up a whole city block; and definitely one of the larger thrift stores I have been to. Parking can be a real challenge as the lot only offers so many spots for the customers. During my visit which was on the afternoon of Saturday 6/6/26 at around 3:30pm, I was fortunate to snag a parking spot as someone was leaving. However, if you come during the non-peak times, you should be just fine. Hours of operation are Monday-Saturday from 10am-6pm while being closed on Sunday and the 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving & Christmas Day). As for their apparel selection, they offer a huge assortment of men's, women's, and children's clothing. This includes tees, polos, dress shirts, suits, dresses, jeans, slacks, shorts, skirts, shoes, hats, outerwear, athletic attire, swimwear, and much more. They also offer a very nice variety of books, accessories, electronics, CDs/DVDs, furniture, antiques, vintage items, handbags/purses, glassware, pictures/frames, artificial plants, toys, and a ton more stuff that is sold at very fair prices. Which brings me to this question... how are the deals at Superior Thrift? Let me say this to everyone reading this review.. I live in the Sacramento area and it is worth the hour or so drive coming here. During our visit, I picked up several shirts, a pair of shorts, and several books, all at reasonable prices. The shirts were only in the $3-5 range while my near-new shorts were at $6. My lady also bought several blazers (for work) and she only spent around $4 for each one! And if that's not all, they offer select 25% discount days; Tuesday for seniors (55+), Wednesday for salute to service, Friday for social media shoppers, and Saturday for student/teachers. And if it is your birthday, you qualify for a 30% discount. Now that's what's up! All in all, "Superior Thrift Store" is as good as it gets when it comes to a quality thrift store. Amazing prices, friendly staff, huge variety/selection, and an overall pleasant shopping experience. Many other places should take note of this; especially since a lot of people (including myself) have jumped on the thrifting bandwagon. With that said and done, I am giving this place a unanimous five-star rating.

Items vary from kids toys, arts & crafts, car supplies, fishing supplies, organization, makeup, decor, exclusive snacks and drinks, etc. I love how everything is in Yen, but they have signs all over every aisle/section that convert the ¥ to USD! So you're never not knowing what you pay. They also have a "if your item doesn't have a price it's $2" rule, which I thought was awesome! We were greeted by one worker that was stocking upon walking in, once it was time to check out nobody was there, so I looked around and seen 3 woman working, but just talking and said I could self checkout.. But I'm hella old or at least I feel like it, so when I turned around and seen the self checkout... Thankfully the same girl who greeted me upon walking in, checked me out. So that was appreciated! I don't like self checkout. Me and my daughter will definitely return and recommend to anyone in the area or looking for a cute chic shop!

They had my UCC Milk Coffee that I wanted. This store was no different. Being in Stockton, I was surprised that It was available. When I arrived someone greeted me and we talked for a bit. She showed me where a few things were. The last time I shopped at Daiso, everything was $1.50. Now, they're up to $2.25 and some items are more. Most things are Japanese designs made in China. They always seem to be of good quality, and that's what matters to me. I found my drinks and some curry packets for the person who lent me their car. I found a tablet that will help me work on my writing with a brush that I haven't done for years. I even bought something that I am using for a napkin holder. It came to an amazing total and kept me from spending all of my money. I had many other stores to visit.
