My fiancé and I visited a friend who lives nearby and he recommended we go to OwowCow. We stumbled Owowcow after having breakfast across the street. It's well off the beaten path for Lambertville, but it's well worth the detour. They have a good selection of flavors all of which hit just right amount of creamy and sweet. I had a chocolate chip mint, that perfectly satisfied after a meal. The staff were kind, helpful, and patient while we made our selection. The ice cream is made from all local and organic ingredients and it really shows in their end product. My siblings and I stopped in after exploring Lambertville as part of our trip to New Hope. I had a medium waffle cone with a scoop of Maine Berry Crunch and a scoop of Sweet Honey Cream. One thing that initially caught my eye here was the pistachio cream topping. Luckily my sister ordered that as one of her toppings, so I was able to sample it. Everything was seriously way too good. I returned here for another helping of ice cream. They had new flavors along with some ones I remember seeing the last time I was here. I went a medium cup of cashew caramel and banana caramel. Both were not too bad. There was not much caramel present unfortunately. Both of them were also not really frozen all the way as it was very melty so there could have been a problem with the container they were in. I also tried cinnamon bourbon and s'mores. Both of these textures were better, but I did not like the flavor really. Great homemade ice cream for a reasonable price in charming Lambertville! I came here on a whim on a hot day. Single scoop = 2 scoops at this spot, so I got blueberry cobbler and sweet cream. The ice cream was excellent, and I loved that the blueberries were local (yay NJ blueberries!!) the staff was friendly, and the parking was easy. Funny thing.... we stumbled upon this one after having the wrong directions for the one that is close to Newtown. We ended up driving the wrong way due to my dyslexia and mixing up the numbers in the address and searched on google for another location and found this one was the closest to where we ended up. So we ended up going over a small bridge.... and ended up in Jersey and not knowing it. We made or 30 minute trip to get ice cream into an hour trip!
