I walked in I was greeted with a friendly smile (I think by the owner), and told some things about the menu/flavors. I love a good local coffee shop that cares about the quality of their beans and roasts and this is exactly what I got. I wanted a hot coffee for the morning and a cold brew for a later pick me up for the drive. The owner said the Tanzanian bean was her favorite and I went for it. I have to say it tasted soooo good! So many great notes and flavors. When I ordered my cold brew she asked "do you like it strong?" And I really do. All of this to say... I had a fantastic experience from the time I walked in the shop to the last sip of cold brew. The service was great, the atmosphere was nice, but the coffee was immaculate. Honestly, when I'm near Owl Eye again on my way to Beulah in the summer I will be stopping with my family. And if they have beans for sale I will be buying some bags! So many coffees to choose from as well as delicious breakfast items. We ended up going for more traditional breakfasts (lighthouse breakfast and corned beef hash plate) and both were delicious, filling and plentiful for the price. The jams for the toast were a surprising highlight and the blueberry and strawberry were so good that I ate them by the spoon when I finished my toast! They do have gluten free toast and they do have dairy alternatives in case you need that which was so appreciated. It is so close to fish town/a great location to walk around.
