Nice large space with plenty of seating. Delicious coconut cream latte. Did notice hate speech written on front wall in dirt. Multiple offensive words/symbols. I was perturbed, so I grabbed napkin and went outside to wipe off myself. Dealt with it. Mentioned to barista she was concerningly not concerned nor did she initiate immediate action. It's really jarring to walk up to an establishment and be met with a penis, hateful symbols and some terrible terrible language. Wish they had more care and concern for how they present. I've tried every single coffee place from here to Northport and this is the best by far. Even though hive uses the same beans it's just not the same. The strength of the coffee is unmatched. Worst coffee ever, anywhere. It was so acidic the half and half curdled in my cup. I showed the barista, and she said, "Oh, that's normal. Our new blend is very bright and acidic." Nice coffee shop with plentiful seating. There was a bit of a line on a Monday morning. Not a "quick stop." I'm a sucker for a house made syrup so I tried the lavender mint latte with oat milk. Bonus points for a solid heart made with oat milk! The mint was not very prevalent which was fine by me. It was a tad sweeter than I'd want but still very good. The almond croissant was perfect - crunchy and flaky crust with lots of almond stuffing. I can't stand when there is not enough stuffing! I would skip the veggie power bowl - it reminded me of a thanksgiving side dish. Didn't go with the vibe. It was pretty though, and healthy! I just wish they would deliver the food to your seat. I had several excellent drinks as well as the avo toast - it's so nice to have some heartier options available instead of just pastries and grab and go items. The staff was super friendly and kind. I've been to a few coffee places in Traverse city but I still think Mundos has the most options and has really good coffee. Today I got the Lavender Mint Latte with oat milk and the Lavender Matcha latte with whole milk. They were both really good. I really enjoyed the lavender latte with oat milk. Their house made lavender syrup has mint in it but I could not taste it much. If you order anything with Lavender know it has mint but it is not over powering the lavender nor the matcha at all. I love that the beans are from one source, high quality and roasted with much love. Just the way your baristas make the drinks with much love. Staff members were super friendly and very personable. The coffee shop is a vibe. The plants are cute- some have names and price on it if you'd like to purchase it. The gender neutral bathroom is super clean. Rude people working there. Customer satisfaction is not in their vocabulary. My husband asked for mustard for his ham whatever and they said they didn't DO mustard there. When asked for sugar they said "simple syrup is all we have." My son in law wanted a refill before we left and they said "we don't do free refills here. " All I know that they actually do there is act haughty, give you coffee begrudgingly and let you sit in a sterile, uncomfortable booth. Go to Common Good. We randomly picked this coffee shop off google on a Saturday morning and could not have picked a better spot. We got there right as it opened and were the second ones in the door. By the time we left ~20 min later, it was definitely busier but not yet crowded. The service was quick and friendly. The food was amazing - legit some of the best croissants we've had. The coffee was yummy and energizing. We are already planning to come back next time we're in TC. Another cool thing about Mundos is that it is covered with plants and quite a few of them are for sale!
