So glad we stopped at M88 on our way out of town! My aunt said they had good coffee and breakfast and she was right. I will be thinking about the BEC liege waffle sandwich forever. It was absolutely killer, no notes. Also the cold brew was some of the best I've ever had. I drink my cold brew black and this one had such a smooth and unique flavor. It was almost a little smoky and tasted barrel aged. Cannot recommend the cold brew and breakfast sandwich enough. Service was kinda and the ambiance is relaxed and has lots of seating. The decor, vibe and indoor/outdoor seating is great! Love the artwork and the seating. The menu sign describing the coffee drinks visually is great. Unfortunately our drinks were terrible and hoping it was a one off. We had espresso and cappuccino and both were terrible - we threw them out. Maybe set machine wrong and pulled a long shot? Or just didn't know how to make espresso and was lack of training. We will try again because we are hoping truly was a one off and was lack of training. We like to support local businesses and would like them to make it. Cute place! Feedback cards would have been nice instead of having this review publicly. I've had some bad small town coffee but M88 isn't that, lots of options in the bakery (including gluten free options) and everything you'd expect from a good coffee shop drink-wise. Both times I went they had quite a line but got through quickly. The place itself has a nice vibe with plenty of seating inside or outside in a covered section that's well decorated. Best of all they allow dogs! read more

Stopped by this little gem because we are new to the area and our friend mentioned that the quiches here were amazing. Needless to say, we were not disappointed! We had the bacon quiche and spinach quiche both of which were not only delicious but had a soufflé texture and no crust. I tried their Snickerdoodle coffee which may be too sweet for some people, but I couldn't resist splurging because everything smelled yummy. When I found that they had a coffee mug board for all veterans in the area (similar to the mug club from Jolly Pumpkin), I knew that this place was something special. As a daughter of a retired U.S. Navy veteran and a wife of a U.S. Navy officer, I appreciate businesses who give back to veterans, but more importantly, I am happy to give my business to a veteran-owned establishment. read more

We've been wanting to try this place for a while as we come up often to stay at our place at Schuss, and we always try to support local businesses. Unfortunately, our first visit left much to be desired. Apparently, we came in on a Sunday near the new closing time (which is noon FYI), and everyone seemed annoyed to have to serve another customer before closing. We didn't see the paper sign on the front door about the new closing time on our way in as we were distracted by a couple and the cute puppy sitting outside. We had checked the hours on google and Yelp prior to making the trip over, so perhaps this whole situation could have been avoided if the hours were updated online. Between the couple sitting outside and the guy sitting at a table working on this computer, it certainly didn't feel like the place was closed/closing. Aside from the paper on the door, which is easily missed, how would we have known? We stood at the counter for an awkward minute while none of the four workers greeted us. The breakfast sandwiches were disappointing as you can't customize them to what you'd like on it. They also had zero texture and were pretty bland; I added some mustard to mine to give it some flavor. While we were waiting for our coffees, a family came in about 5-10 minutes after us and someone snapped at them that "WE'RE CLOSED", which was super uncomfortable. They were allowed to place an order and one of the workers said they'd lock the door behind them. Honestly, there is a way to handle people coming in at or near closing and this isn't it! Pros: the interior is really cute and we loved the art work on the walls. The Bellaire latte was good. Cons: literally everything else. Terrible experience, customer service, hours not updated online (honestly, don't put that on your customers to read a piece of paper on the front door AFTER they arrive trying to patron your business!), lack of customization of breakfast sandwiches, lack of flavor/texture, and it was way too expensive for what you get! Perhaps Third Street Bagel in Marquette has set the bar too high, and we've been ruined forever. A little customer service would have gone a long way today, but we won't be back. read more

The pricing seemed high for what I received. The staff seemed friendly, but I would not go there for food unless you have a lot of time to wait. read more

Went there for some coffee on a Saturday morning - place was packed! Waited in like for 10-15 mins - lots of options on the menu. All the employees were super friendly! I got an iced coffee with strawberry syrup and a banana crumble muffin. They forgot to add the syrup to my coffee, and I felt like it tasted more like coffee flavored water with the amount of ice put in. As for the muffin, it was very sweet but very good. Overall, this place was cute inside but with the crowds, the line, the price, and just meh coffee, I would skip. Not to mention when it's busy, the inside is just chaos. Go to the bakery down the street and the whole experience will be so much better. read more

Finally stopped in this place; it's cute on the inside & had some tables for outside seating too. Snagged a mocha, regular coffee (harvest moon) and a couple muffins (which they offered to heat up for us). First time in Bellaire Michigan...went in the winter for skiing so we weren't out and about that much but this place is so cute. Service was friendly and accommodating. I asked if they had fruit and they made me a little berry parfait that wasn't even on the menu, all the berries were great! I figured in January I'd get some that were bland or mushy but nope! I got summer grade Michigan blueberries and strawberries. I love a coffee shop with tons of different drinks to choose from to get me out of the suburban Starbucks rut and this place did not disappoint...I had the salty pumpkin which was amazing! They had a chocolate banana latte I was eyeing too but maybe next time. Go here for sure! read more
