Nether of them could figure out what was wrong with it. Of corse they charged me a service fee for nothing. So I took it to Lakeview Ford, I have to say I was hesitant because most dealers have a reputation for making you pay an arm and a leg. They took a look at it that day. Explained what was wrong with it and had it fix by the next day. The price for the work they did was more then fare, I call around to other shops to see how much they would have charged for the same service. The dealership was with in dollars of the other estimates. Great job guys and Thank You. P.s. Steve is the man!!

This was the worst experience/interaction that I've ever had at ANY dealership, and I have dealt…read morewith many. My husband found a specific color Mach-e with specifications he wanted at this dealership. He worked with a salesperson over the phone and through email the day prior to us arriving because we live 4+ hours away from lakeview ford/battle creek. We were assured that everything was ironed out, there were already X amount of rebates on the car and we had another personal mailer that we were told could be added to bring the price down further. We were told there is always room for negotiation, and that everything was good to go. Credit was run before we arrived, it should have been fairly straight forward, just going over last minute details and signing papers. We got there and that was not the scenario that was presented at all. After driving all that way with children, we were sat down while the sales person left us multiple times to go ask his sales manager or the finance person questions- which totaled 1.5 hours. At no point were we asked if we wanted a drink, a snack, anything to make the wait more manageable (which might sound petty, but I have NEVER been to a dealership, especially not Ford, where I wasn't asked if we wanted something to drink while we waited). It wasn't until just before the finance guy wanted to pull us into his office that he asked if our kids wanted something to drink. By this time we had been there for almost 2 hours. He proceeded to bring us into his office, rushing my husband through signing papers for a car that we haven't even been told the payment information for yet. He talked to my husband as though I wasn't even there. At this point I made it very clear how uncomfortable I was with the tactics being used. He was being incredibly pushy and condescending. "Well, this is to save time. I'm going over it with you now and you're signing it so it doesn't have to be done later. Just sign it, we're getting to that." okay, but I don't even know the specifics or cost of this vehicle yet, and you're trying to rush him through signing things that I've made it clear I'm not comfortable with? At this point he started talking to me like a child who was interrupting an adult conversation. He finally pulled out a paper that had protection plans and pricing on it which showed numbers that we never would have agreed to drive down there for. And when he was told that those prices were not something we were interested in and that our maximum budget for a vehicle was at least $25 less/month (really- closer to $50) than the lowest figure he looked at me and said "it's just $25... that a $6 cup of coffee per week. That's not a big deal. It's $6/week, are you following?" In what world do I as an adult woman, or my husband who is an adult man need this guy to mansplain how budgeting works or how I should work out my personal finances that he has no idea about. We have children, a mortgage, all of the bills that come along with those things, my vehicle and insurance to cover them. My husband was t-boned a week ago which totaled his car and now we are trying to figure out how to get another one, to be told that "just figure it out and budget better, $25/month over your absolute maximum shouldn't be such a big deal" by some scummy guy who talked over us the entire time and acted like we were too stupid to understand simple logic. For reference, I have a 4+ year degree. I'm a Registered Nurse and work with the public. I have worked in customer service and customer relations. This is not how you talk to or treat people that you are supposed to be providing a service to. I have never felt so disrespected and condescended by someone who was trying to pressure me into buying something from them in my entire life. Absolutely disgraceful. Complete waste of time, money, energy. Even though they tried to screw us out of being able to find another dealership with the amount of our time they wasted, they weren't successful. We went to another ford dealership (DeNooyer) where we were treated with respect, weren't talked down to or talked over, where they stayed late to help us work out a deal to get my husband into a new car that he could drive away yesterday. Most importantly, it's a vehicle that he loves. All of this occurred because none of the Michigan dealers with Mach-e that could be dealer traded would trade to my local dealership. Brown motors/Ashley in petoskey is FANTASTIC!!! Hopefully more people blast them so that people can stay away from this AWFUL place. If I could give zero stars I would.

In December 2021, a warning light appeared on the dashboard indicating "Reduced Engine Power." I brought the truck to Heritage for diagnosis. At that time, I was told that the issue appeared to be related to something else and that they had taken care of the problem. Unfortunately, the problem did not go away. I brought the truck back to Heritage in 2022 and again in 2023 for the exact same "Reduced Engine Power" issue. During these visits, Heritage performed inspections, including their three-point inspections, and addressed items they identified as needing attention. I followed their recommendations and paid to have the necessary work completed because I trusted that these repairs would resolve the problems I was experiencing. I may not have brought the truck in during 2024 because the warning light and issue were not consistently present at that time. However, by 2025, the same problem had returned and was continuing to occur. I brought the truck back to Heritage once again. They performed another inspection and identified additional items they said needed to be addressed. Once again, I took care of the recommended repairs. At this point, I had repeatedly brought the vehicle to Heritage, repeatedly reported the same problem, and repeatedly followed their recommendations in an effort to get the issue resolved. Then, in 2026, the situation became significantly worse. The truck completely shut off, leaving me with no choice but to have it towed to the dealership. Heritage again identified additional repairs that they said needed to be completed. Due to financial circumstances, I was unable to proceed immediately, and the truck remained at the dealership for approximately two months before I ultimately had it towed home. Once I had the truck home, I replaced the key component that Heritage had identified as needing to be replaced. I then brought the truck back to Heritage specifically because the "Reduced Engine Power" issue was still occurring. The check-engine light was also illuminated. This is where my experience with Heritage became particularly concerning. Heritage had the truck for approximately two weeks. During that entire period, I was repeatedly told that they could not get the truck to "mimic" the problem I was describing. I was also told that they could not determine what was causing the issue. This was extremely frustrating because this was not a new or isolated problem. I had been reporting the same issue to Heritage for years. After several conversations with Heritage, I contacted GM and opened a case regarding the situation. We eventually went to the dealership because we wanted to check on the truck and assist the technicians in demonstrating exactly what the vehicle was doing. Instead of allowing us to help identify the problem, the manager, Austin, returned the keys to us and stated that they were finished working on the truck. When we asked why, we were told that they could not reproduce the problem and therefore could not do anything further. At that point, another manager, Mike, became involved in the conversation. Rather than working with us to find a solution, the conversation became increasingly confrontational. We were repeatedly told that Heritage could not get the truck to act up and that there was nothing they could do. Eventually, Mike asked us to leave the premises. I refused to leave without receiving all of my paperwork and documentation concerning the vehicle and the work that had been performed. During the conversation, I told Mike that I intended to report the situation to GM, including the fact that Heritage was essentially refusing to continue diagnosing the vehicle. His response was extremely concerning. He stated that the people he dealt with at GM were "$12 pencil pushers," that he only told them what they wanted to hear, and that they had no control over what happened in the shop. He also accused me of lying about having an open case with GM and stated that the case had already been closed. That statement was false. I did, in fact, have an open case with GM, and I had documentation of the case and the communications surrounding it. I also documented what occurred during my interactions with Heritage. I subsequently reported the entire situation to GM and requested that the truck be transferred to another dealership. I have more to say, however, the boxes are not long enough for me to complete what I have to say. If I could give a zero star, I would.

So I went in to discuss it with them. I was taken in the office, where he started going over the paperwork where my brother signed the contract. I stated that all I want to know is if he disclosed all of the issues the car had. He went back to the paperwork, I again asked the question. He jumped to his feet, told me to get the F out of here and got nose to nose with me. He wouldn't answer the question. They are crooks, do not shop there.

I just kept driving the thing for a couple of months and then the timing chain went out, so I'm glad I didn't bother with the transmission fix. POS, even with low mileage on the thing. Cars these days are a total crap shot waste anyway. This place don't care if you get a good vehicle or not, just modern day horse traders. Definitely take anything from them to a reputable shop for a pre-purchase inspection before you buy from this place, or try to find something somewhere else. At some point everyone will be forced to lease with limited mileage, or take public transport, that is likely the overall goal, -bunch of BS and getting worse all the time.

I would like to start by saying that I rarely post reviews, as you normally expect good service,…read morebut my experience was above and beyond and I had the urge to share my story. After 10 years of driving a 2008 Camry that would not die (sold it with 215K miles on it), I decided to upgrade to a new 2019 Rav4 Hybrid due to the amazing fuel economy coupled with AWD. Out of 5 dealerships, Sunshine Toyota had the best price for the trim I wanted and so I decided to lock in and purchase the car. I explained that I received an excellent offer from a buyer on my Camry that was too good to be true so and that I would be selling it in a week. Later that week I found out that Toyota issued a safety recall for the Rav4 (minor issue with the back-up-camera) and that I could not pick it up until it was resolved. Justin Etheridge was my sales consultant and offered a free loaner vehicle (2019 model) if my Camry sold before the Rav4 safety issue was resolved and said I could use it for as long as it took. Well...after the back up camera issue was resolved, Toyota issued another minor safety recall for the automatic braking and put another stop-sale on the Rav4 until it was repaired. Fast forward almost 2.5 months later (slight delay due to a credit fraud alert on my report from a stolen wallet incident in February) and I was finally at the dealership to pick up my car. The entire paperwork process was very streamlined and efficient, yet they explained all the steps. As I upgraded from an 11 year old car, another associate took me out to the vehicle to explain all of the safety features (lane assist, active braking, radar cruise control....etc). I was in and out of the dealership in less than 2 hrs driving home in my new Rav4!!!. During the entire paperwork process I had numerous people come up to me and genuinely apologize for the long wait I had in acquiring the Rav4, but I was just appreciative of the free loaner. Later that afternoon I was at the gym and saw a commercial for Sunshine Toyota stating they are #1 in customer service in the area, and normally I am skeptical of those, however, after going through the experience I did, I can honestly say that Sunshine Toyota (and the sales associate Justin Etheridge) is indeed the best dealership I have ever dealt with!!!
