Nice little pub. We had fish tacos, lamb sliders, and fried cod. We ate every bite. Nothing fancy, just good food.

Great Irish breakfast! I thought I was on O'Connell street in Dublin for a moment. Haha. It's a stones throw from the Hilton and we didn't want to eat at the hotel. Typical pub fare with an Irish twist, I guess. At least they don't have Irish egg rolls, I assume they have corned beef stuffed in it, thus making it Irish. All these Irish pubs in the US have reuben sandwich, again with the corned beef. To be fair, Irish cuisine isn't expansive and seldom noteworthy but their classics are tough to beat, like fish and chips, lamb (Guinness) stew, and mussels in a creamy white sauce. Back to that breakfast, yes the best I've had in the states, though I've not had it in Boston. What elevates it is the black and white pudding and the pan fried tomatoes. Any way it was good. The bar is small and probably would have felt cramped if it was crowded making feel like Temple bar, a proper Irish pub. Though short, they have a nice selection of beers. It's a chain and other than Guinness the selections vary by location. At the Easton pub they have St Bernardus, Kronenburg 1664, Estrella Damm and some craft beers. Anyway nice looking pub with pretty good food, great place to enjoy a pint. read more

My favorite bar for two reasons 1. Phenomenal taste of starters 2. Great ambience with the immediate proximity to cigar lounge I have enjoyed at this pub quiet a lot , because it has never failed in its cocktails and the food it serves. Plus when you sit outside facing the mall traffic, it always feel lively. Primary reason i go to this pub is for its food offerings which is limited but spot on. I just dig their Hummus and Flat breads and lately i have tried slow cooked lamb on a hoagie. Please excuse the name of the dishes which may not be same as what i am posting, but you get the idea don't you? I am a really big fan of Fadó Irish Pub for several reasons. First reason is the aesthetics, as soon as you walk in the front doors you get that warm embrace of a pub environment: dark wood flooring, paneling and trim, dimly lit with the wrap around bar as the focal point. Go on a day there is premier league soccer and you will feel like you stepped into a pub near Stamford Bridge or another great London pitch. The second reason is the food - I have been eating at the Easton location for over 10 years and it has always been great. Lastly, they have a great beer and liquor selection, as should a pub. Recently ordered the fish and chips, which were great. The cod fish is fresh and the breading is light and flavorful - great choice. Excited to go back and try the 24hour ribs! read more

Perfect for what we needed. A quick and delicious meal that was not too heavy. We started with some beer, of course. I got the Smithwick's Irish Ale and my man got a Land Grant Brown Ale. Both were awesome, not surprisingly. For the meal itself I got the appetizer fish tacos. And my better half the lunch portion fish and chips. The breading on the fish and chips was different from many other places we've been to, light and crunchy. The fish tacos were excellent, the spicy aioli was perfect. So the kids and I had a day off from work and school and my son has wanted to see Chelsea play so we went to Fado to see the match, grab some food, and slam a few pints. So off we went on a -20 wind chill day and it was awesome. So first off, no kid menu so expect to drop some coin, but I knew that so all good. Chelsea game is at the bar usually so go to the right in the door. Had a few Guinness on a cold as heck day so that was great. Service is excellent. Daughter had double stack burger and loved it. My son, the whole reason we were there, had the Reuben and it was great. Completely loaded with meat! I had the soup and salad combo with the farmhouse salad & the beef stew as the soup! Holy moly the beef stew was unbelievable. We will definitely go back to catch another Chelsea match and grab some more food! Thanks for having these games on and having great food! read more

The bar itself had a distinct cigar smoke smell, despite the no smoking policy. Must've wafted in from the smoker's patio, or the neighboring cigar store, or both. ** Yay! I'm a fan.** My favorite thing here is simply the potatoes :-) We usually get the chips -- two orders - one thick and one thin. They come with 3 dipping sauces each - my favorites are the Guinness mayo and curry, with my husband loving the Guinness BBQ. I LOVE the shepherds pie as well - it seems like such a simple meal, but the spice palate is what makes this meal. It is so well seasoned while not being overpowering. Be prepared for stiff drinks ;-) The only draw back to the restaurant is the smell. The smoke from next door permeates the space.... So while working in the area and having to be up at 4:30 to be at work at 5:30 I thought I would walk into the Easton shopping center and look for dinner. I looked around a bit the pulled up Yelp as I do a lot to look for someplace to eat. I seen the Irish pub and thought I really want something different but I haven't had a smithwicks in a while. So I walked it. Ordered a smithwicks, then looked the menu over. I am picky about my shepards pie so I ordered the fish and chips (fries). I love a good fish. I got the lunch portion as I am a huge dessert person. It was very good to say the least. The fries were not over cooked and the fish was tender and juicy. The Cole slaw isn't my favorite but it is very authentic for UK style Cole slaw. More of the cabbage flavor. I do enjoy cabbage so I ate it all. As a matter of fact I ate everything. Ordered another smithwicks and bread pudding for dessert. The bread pudding came out with a huge portion of ice cream and whip cream on it with a mandarin orange slice on the top. Please understand my next comment is more preference. I love dessert and I love a good ice cream. But bread pudding should stand out by itself with its cream sauce. Maybe a wee bit of whip cream on top but very little. And I love whip cream. The bread pudding was very good. I couldn't tell if it had a cream sauce as the ice cream was melting into it. Yes I ate it all. Yes it was good. Could it have been better with a good Irish cream sauce reduction. YES. Why the 5 stars, it could be the smithwicks or the food or the noise level or maybe the very good looking waitstaff. Or maybe I am feeling generous today. I will say my waitress was very cute, short, and very polite what more could a guy ask for. Oh and for the ladies the bartender (male) was 6 foot bald (in a good way) and from a straight guy he looked good. (Had to add the guy only because I am drinking). We were walking around and had come across this Irish pub. My friend is Irish and loves checking out Irish pubs. We came here during brunch time and I ordered an American breakfast and had asked for my eggs done over hard however, they came out runny with my toast burnt. I had also asked the waitress if the home made sausages were made with pork or beef but she was unable to answer my question and never got back to me. I didn't bother asking the waitress to fix my order because they had messed up my fiancées order too. My fiancée had ordered a burger and requested it to be done medium rare but it came out well done. In addition, the waitress was not able to answer the questions we had and accidentally had spilled sauce all over my friends boots. Fado is a great place to eat on a cool summers day while sitting out on the patio. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I do wish they were able to pick up on vibes from tables a bit more. There were a few times where my guest and I were very obviously in a important conversation and didn't want to be bothered and had them come up to us during that multiple times. I appreciate the service but sometimes guests prefer to be left alone for a little bit. I ordered the Irish whiskey sour ($11.50) which I adore a cocktail that has egg whites in it and this was just what I wanted. I do suggest you drink it pretty quickly if it's warm out because I accidentally drank mine a little slow and it started to taste weird by the end with the warm egg whites. For an appetizer, we ordered the pretzel with beer cheese sauce and whole grain mustard. Absolutely loved this! If I were going to be picky, I would suggest putting the whole grain mustard into a larger ramekin. I found myself dumping the mustard onto the table as I was trying to dip my pretzel. For dinner, we ordered the fado pub burger with thick cut chips ($15.95) and the fado Reuben($13.45) with thick cut chips. Both were very good. My burger was juicy and perfectly cooked. I think next time I would order some extra of the whiskey bacon marmalade on the side. This is because it was probably the thing on the burger that made me decide to order it but I was searching for it in a lot of my bites. First thing come to my mind is "Columbus Crew Soccer Club". Its a good place to watch other sports as well. It's an Irish bar that Columbus Crew fans will come here to watch the game. Sometime I wish the place was bigger for game days. It's the place where you can always come and hangout even when you don't know where else to go if you drink beers. Their food is not bad. I visited Fados for the first time last Sunday with a friend who's a regular there. I had read about the cigar smell from the next door store, and I was actually looking forward to it as I love the smell of cigars, but I couldn't smell it. The waiter who served us was very friendly. I ordered the shepherd's pie with bangers on the side. My friend had wings and a salad. My food was amazing!! The flavor of the beef was on point and the bangers were divine! They also sell the sausages frozen by the pound so I bought some. I actually went back yesterday to get three orders of the sausages. I called ahead and Jason was so pleasant and helpful over the phone, he took my order and said they would be ready in ten minutes and they were ready when I got there. They are that good!!! Third breakfast visit. Since the other 2 were good and this one was horrible, I'll leave it at 3 stars. Breakfast menu is small, but flexible. Morning staff is far less professional than after 5pm. Kitchen staff is hit or miss. This has not been a place where management checks on your experience. Only today when I requested a manager to let him know of repeating problems. Other servers will expedite your food to your table. The good part is you get it when it's hot. The bad part is they have no commitment to your order being accurate because their tip is not affected. Example would be bringing you 3 slices of bacon when a side order is 5 slices. The hash is true. Real corned beef, rough cut chunks of beef and potatoes. Griddled red onion rings should be chopped, and peppers would give it more depth. The creamy breakfast mustard is drizzled atop, under the two eggs. It does not come with any bread or fruit. $11.95 Pancakes are average. 6" wide and thin not fluffy. They did not serve the whiskey butter, but packaged pats of butter. It must have been the real maple syrup that escalated the yum factor to above average. The layout is very choppy. It appears that most food comes out of the kitchen and must travel past the front door. Odd to move food past the waiting lobby patrons. It must be difficult in here for handicapable patrons. I try to steer clear from Easton as much as possible, and you definitely won't see me out here for dining very often, but I was up here on a rainy Saturday night for a birthday celebration, and we started the night at Fado. I haven't been here in years, but it's your typical Irish pub. Yes, it's a chain, but a small one, and the interior is actually pretty cool and cozy with a bunch of different nooks and room filled with tables. The service here was excellent. Considering how many people we had, our server was on top of things the entire time with getting refills on everything and bringing out the food quickly and to the right people. I wasn't super hungry, so I just went with the wings, and they were surprisingly pretty good. A place like this in the middle of a busy mall could really phone it in, but the chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The bbq sauce was great, and while the buffalo was a pretty standard sauce, I really enjoyed it. I can't really give much insight into the rest of the menu, but my girlfriend really liked her fish and chips, and everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals. A thumbs up from across the table for the Lamb Dip. It's typical pub fare, so you may not be blown away, but you'll probably be pleasantly surprised with the grub. If you're coming during peak hours, a good tip would be to forego trying to find parking in the surface lots nearby and head straight to the garage. You may be lucky and find a spot, but more often than not you'll be going around in circles ready to kill someone. There's a great patio here as well, and they have a cool St. Paddy's celebration which is coming up for anyone looking to party. You won't find me here often, and it could be another few years before I'm back, but it's good to know if you're stuck at Easton, you can stop in here for some great service, good drinks, and some above average food. read more

They offer Pub Quiz night on Mondays where the place is packed with groups of people struggling over their answers over many pints of beer. The food is basic Irish food you would find in a pub of the style. i have never had any problems with my food. The servers are nice but can get overwhelmed at nite because the place ges crowded. Monday and Thursday/Friday nights are usually busy.. The meals will cost you from $5-15 . We've been here a few times, once for lunch, once for breakfast, both times when the weather was warm enough to sit outside, and once just for drinks, and we sat inside. Today was a bit chilly so we sat inside for breakfast. Their breakfast menu isn't huge, but for a pub, it's actually got a pretty great selection. They've got eggs, hash, pancakes, bacon, gravy, sausage, biscuits, hashbrowns, omlettes, breakfast potatoes, the usual breakfast offerings. There are a few combinations but this morning, I ordered all off the a la carte Sides menu. I ordered 2 scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon crispy and pancakes. The scrambled eggs were okay but actually overdone and had very little cheese in them. The bacon was crispy alright, crispy burnt, and the pancakes were small and very flat, only slightly thicker than a crepe. None of my food was hot although everything was warm. I ate the eggs, picked around the bacon trying to find places that weren't burnt black. Also the menu says you get 5 pieces and I only got 3. The pancakes, (not to be confused with hotcakes-lol) were amazing! Waaay better than I expected them to be! Waaay better than they looked! There was some kind of different taste to them that I can't quite put my finger on. Was it the real maple syrup that I'm not used to? Were there certain spices in the pancake batter? I have no idea but they were really great! So this whole time I was eating, my husband was waiting for his over easy eggs to be recooked for his hash bc they arrived sunny side up. Our server bought the recooked overeasy eggs on his hash. My husband cut into the overeasy eggs and they were like flat hard boiled eggs. He called our server back over and this time asked for the manager. It took the manager about 7 minutes to come to our table and he was very nice and apologetic but he didn't introduce himself until my husband asked who he was. I had already eate my eggs so I didn't mention them but I did say that I had asked for crispy bacon but it came out burnt. The manager left and then returned about 6-8 minutes later with a new serving of hash with 2 perfectly cooked overeasy eggs and even brought me a full 5 piece serving of perfectly cooked crispy bacon. Of course by this time I had finished my meal so I ate 1 piece and took the rest home. So why the 3 star rating? The manager did try to make things right. Once things were made right, the food was good, and the prices were decent. The manager ended up buying our breakfast which was very nice of him, but we didn't want a free meal. Fado's is one of the easier places to park at Easton. There's a large (free) lot across the street. I came for dinner this evening. The restaurant looks a LOT different than American pubs or restaurants. I suppose that's because a lot of was made in England. Most of the tables are high and most of the rooms are smallish. It's different for sure. For dinner, I started off with the lamb chops. They were good, but VERY small. And the waitrress didn't ask me how I wanted them cooked. She said they just didn't do that. What??? Then I had the macaroni and cheese. I was "okay". For dessert, I had the bread pudding. That was the best course of the day. It had dried fruit and other yummy stuff. My experience at Fado wasn't as great as most everyone else it seems. First off, I was sat at a table that had no lighting. As the sun set, my table got darker and darker (for some odd reason, I don't like food as much when I can't see it clearly). Secondly, my waitress was unusual. While nice and all, she was also really high energy, very self confident, and always popping up when I least expected it (it was dark, so imagine me being startled several times). Not saying that's bad, but it definitely kept me on edge, haha. Third, the food wasn't all that great. I had read good things about the Guinness mayo, so I tried the chips with that dip and the cheese sauce. Can't say I was a fan of either. For my entree, I got the fish & chips - I was really looking forward to dousing the fish with malt vinegar and snacking on it with two hands. Unfortunately, it was too hot to hold and when I tried after it cooled down, it crumbled out of my hands. The fish was just too moist and not crunchy enough for me. The accompanying coleslaw seemed pretty tasteless too. When I mentioned this to my waitress, and told her that I had recently returned from Disneyworld and was hoping for something like what I got in the British part of Epcot, she told me I had been spoiled. She's probably right. Anyway, though I'm not one for much alcohol, I wound the evening up with a cup of Irish Coffee. THAT was the best part of my experience at Fado. An absolutely delicious hot cup of yummy goodness. I should have just filled myself up on five cups of that. Would have been way better! Overall, not a horrible place, and actually seems like a pretty fun place if you do like your beer and spirits (it has a cornhole spot to the side of the restaurant), but not really for me. 2.5 Stars. read more

Rating of a 2 for service only. The happy hour $5 specials of parmasean chips, fish tacos and cheese puffs were delicious. However our server always MIA. Our server only gave us ketchup, boxes and the check. Our drinks, food, and care came from other people. Never apologizing for her lack of attention our dining experience was sustained by her coworkers. If only we had sat in a different section I could have easily given 3 stars. The issue I had today was three gentlemen at the bar talking politics saying the most ridiculous things ever from calling Lebron James the stupidest person ever to calling Joe Biden some of the most disgusting names I've heard. Also, talking about females and how it all feels the same in the dark! Any white person that was for blm was not worth anything at all I mean I can go on forever but what made it even worse the bartender which is a female just sit and let them do it I could care less for politics but when you come to a restaurant to enjoy lunch you shouldn't have to listen to these idiots and I mean idiots!
