Visited Flip Side with a friend. Our server was extremely nice and provided excellent service. I visited during Happy Hour so the beers were significantly marked down in price. They had a solid selection of draft beers with many local options. I ordered the Brussel Sprouts starter. The Brussel Sprouts were crispy and packed with flavor. The Aoli sauce was a highlight. For my main order I chose the Chicken Philly and upgraded to the Sweet Potato Fries. The fries were perfectly cooked. The Chicken Philly also tasted great. The chicken, cheese, peppers and mushrooms were packed into the roll. The mayo was served on the side. Overall this was a great visit. I will return for Happy Hour in the future. read more

Food was ok. We were starving so we just dealt with it. Service was not great, was not asked upon coming from the restroom when I joined my party what to drink, had to yell at server to get a drink. Margarita was not a margarita, I asked for salt on rim never came with it. Grilled chicken sandwich was good - eh on the food. Bison burger was average. Server never checked in on us another server had to do it for her. Haven't had this bad of service in a while. We will not be returning. Sad because this place had a lot of great reviews!! For our main meals I got the Chili Pepper Burger with sweet potato fries. The horseradish sauce was insane! The fam got the flipside burger with truffle fries and mac and cheese with grilled chicken. I would be lying if I said I loved this place. It just wasn't the most amazing experience. Perfect location for Easton and after shopping. But that is really it. The staff was confusing. It smelled awful in there the whole time. I couldn't get over the smell I have spoken to others with the same experience. I wanted an apple pie milkshake, but the waitress said it would be at least 30 minutes to finish the apples. I said that would be ok considering my parents and I hadn't even ordered yet. We would still be there. After taking our orders, she strongly advised I just order another milkshake. It's not like we were there when they first opened. We were there at 5:45 during heightened dinner time. I got a milkshake I could've made at home. It came with a pretzel rod not mixed in, a ball of peanut butter on top not mixed in and vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce surrounding the glass. It's like they didn't mix the ingredients together when they were supposed to. Like do you eat the pretzel separately? How does one suck a peanut butter blob through a straw? Especially when it's called the kitchen sink milkshake? It should be all mixed together. Who knows. I then got the Cajun dry rub confit wings. They smelled awful. I was only able to eat 1/6 wings. Since everything is fried in lard, it has a very distinct smell. I also got the rosemary garlic herb fries on the side. Again, the same smell. It was a challenging dinner to power though. I will not be back here. This one makes me sad because I grew up in Hudson and the other location is in Hudson and it was amazing. So UGH. I'm in Columbus for work and staying in the Easton Hilton so walked over to the Easton Town Center for dinner. I saw this place and wanted a burger so I went in. The restaurant is nice and casual. I got the Flip Side burger and onion rings. The burger was good but the onion rings were probably the best I have ever had. My server was great, checking up throughout the meal. My only complaint is that they don't allow you to sub onion rings for the fries the burger comes with. You have to get both fries and the onion rings. The fries went to waste and were left on my plate because I couldn't eat both. Only place I've ever seen do this. Other than that, everything was delicious and would probably come back if I ever find myself in Columbus again. read more

My wife and I decided to stop in during what appeared to be a slower lunch period, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. The food took an unusually long time to come out, so we decided to order appetizers while we waited. Sadly, that did not improve the experience. The onion rings were completely unseasoned, and the wings were some of the worst I've ever had. The corn dogs were honestly the only appetizer that was somewhat enjoyable. We hoped the main dishes would make up for it, but that wasn't the case. The burgers tasted like they were cooked on a burnt, dirty grill, and the French fries were extremely greasy. My wife ordered the "Shawn's Burger," and the eggs and meat were not cooked as requested. During our visit, we also noticed several other customers leaving because their food was taking too long or they were unhappy with the quality. Overall, this was a very disappointing dining experience. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to be honest about our visit. I almost missed the restaurant because the name of the building isn't facing the street it's facing the parking lot that is across from the life time fitness. I pulled in and couldn't find it then my niece found it once we got out to walk around to find it. Lol There is a small patio that is covered it looked so pretty in the daytime I can only imagine what it looks like at night. Once inside it's open and there is a small bar off to the right. There is a restroom sign by the kitchen. I felt like I was about to walk into the kitchen. lol but it's a single restroom and there was a line. It was clean and it smelled like bleach it was really strong! But I'm glad because some restrooms aren't as nice or clean. The menu was different and I liked it! Had chicken avocado sandwich and it was kinda gross honestly. The chicken was seared in an oil compared to a grilled or deep fried. And it just overall had zero flavor besides the oil. Flip Side is a burger joint in Easton Town Center. It's located around the corner/behind Pottery Barn and Banana Republic. There is curbside parking with meters as well as a small lot right directly outside of it that has free parking. This is a great place to come to if you want a good burger. It has a true burger joint/bar type of vibe They have many varieties to choose from. They make burgers with the following protiens: angus, bison, turkey, impossible patty. The buns are always fresh. For people who might not be into burgers they have chicken, grouper and 3-4 salads. (I recommend the Kale but ask for extra chickpeas). My only complaint here is: food timing seems off. Now, service here is always friendly (the servers are great) but there is a bit of a disconnect often between the front of the house and the back...Orders seem to either back up or get unnecessarily delayed. It seems to occur at a 1:2, 1:3 ratio. However once you get your order, the food is delicious. read more

Stopped in on a Friday night around 6 pm for dinner with my mom. Great experience! Our server was attentive and we were seated at a high but not the highest level of tables. The truffle fries were tasty and a large portion for the price, we split them. I ordered the Brunch Burger and beef bacon, local egg, and the maple syrup added a lot to the Ohio beef patty. We decided to try out Flip Side Burger based on other reviews here. We were looking for a low key place and to try something new since we recently moved to the area. While the service was great the food was just okay and I was a bit disappointed. We went early so it was not crowded and we were seated at a booth immediately. Our server was very good. Just enough attention to us at the beginning and throughout the meal. The day we had dinner was the first day of their new menu. Since we had not been their before the new items were new and so were the former items; however, one noticeable change per our server was that the side items now come with the burgers meaning you don't order and pay for them separately. A good piece of info! We ordered onion rings to start and the flavor was very good but there was way too much breading. I had one ring that was not cooked all the way through because the breading was so heavy. The remoulade was good but too heavy when paired with the excess breading on the rings. I ordered the Impossible Burger without cheese, pointing to our menu for clarity when I did. The burger that came out was good but over seasoned and missing the fixings that were shown on the menu (no avocado, sprouts, arugula, or red pepper vinaigrette). Herein lies my disappointment. My truffle fries were great, not too much truffle and just the right amount of seasoning. My husband ordered the Forester Burger which came with a fried shiitake mushroom and truffle aioli. It wasn't as spicy as I had thought it to be, but I still enjoyed the slight kick and the onion rings were so good. If you aren't into spicy food, they have plenty of other burger options, like the Mikey Burger, which has onion rings, applewood bacon, pepperjack cheese, and remoulade. I'm actually full. I ordered the Cobb vinaigrette on the side. I liked the dressing but it was heavy on the vinegar. Order it on the side if vinegar is not your thing. 5/5 Milkshakes. WOW! There are probably 8 options on the menu plus the daily specials. Really good. Sorry no pictures. I was really hungry and distracted by the countdown on our meter. There is a parking lot literately next door but it was blocked from our view by a pop up wall hiding a business being remodeled. We joined the waiting list, arrived at the restaurant just before the early time listed. She did successfully find us, and we asked to sit at the bar. She said there were no places. We were prepared to wait. A couple walked in who were not on the list moments later and asked to sit at the bar. She told them she would ask, and promptly seated them. When we questioned her on her return, she answered she was seating us next. She said, not nicely, "I just texted you." Every time she walked past us, she side-eyed us. We were shopping at Easton near Flip Side and decided to eat lunch there. After walking in we waited nearly 5 minutes to even see anyone that worked here. We were "greeted" with the question "table for 3?" assuming the person who walked in a couple minutes after us was part of our party. We got a table for 2. After sitting we waited another 3-4 minutes for a waiter to take our order. While these times might not seem significant, they are since there were only 3 tables already seated with guests. We gave our order and then the real wait began. Looking around at the other tables I noticed no one had received their meals. After we were seated it took another 15 minutes for any food to come out of the kitchen delivered to the other tables arriving ahead of us. We waited nearly 25 minutes for our burgers. I had the Flip Side burger with cheese, red onion jam, and bacon with fries. My wife had a cheddar cheeseburger with ketchup, mustard, and mayo with fries. My burger was barely average. It was overcooked, did not have any red onion jam, and the bacon was beyond crispy approaching burnt. The french fries were better described as "french fried potato pieces". We were running short on time so I did not say anything. Having had this Flip Side burger a few times in the past I can only think that they were having an "off" day. The music playing was very loud making conversation difficult. None of the staff were smiling and the person seating guests seemed to be annoyed by the arrival of guests. With SO many other Burger options at Easton, DO NOT GO HERE. Please carefully read below. If you have a toddler, consider another place. It appears others had a similar issue like our experience upon reading the reviews. The 2 ladies at the Hosts station were incredibly rude. At the initial checkin we mentioned we had 2 kids (a baby & a toddler) with 6 adults. Told us about 15-30 minute wait. Checked on our table looking through the link that was given, even received a text our table was ready. Walked in, host acted like she'd never seen us before. Once sat, we mentioned the need for a high chair. Again, the Host gave us the biggest attitude. Stating we never mentioned the kids. With poor planning on where she sat us, she said it wasn't recommended to have one due to a fire hazard. I understand this... but again, we mentioned 2 kids at first checkin. Once seated my husband could see the 2 Hostesses grumbling to other staff about our table. It seemed she gave almost everyone that checked in this same attitude. We were sat right next to their Host stand & could see everyone's face drop when they interacted with her. I've never understood poor customer service. I used to work in the field for almost 2 decades. If you hate where you work, do not take it out on your customers. Find another job. It's sad how low the standards for even the most basic customer service is in some restaurants. The only positive was our waitress. When she first greeted our table, she asked if we needed a highchair. She mentioned how we'd have to squeeze in order to not block the walkway. It's amazing how differently the same situation was handled. If it were not for the family that came in to town that chose this place solely by looking at the menu & seeing a GF bun with fun burgers, We would not have chosen this place. Our visitors ordered 2 drinks from the bar. It took until after we received our appetizer to get his first drink. Literally as our checks came they brought him the second. We had to politely ask to take it off the order. The waitress was understanding & took it off as a courtesy. Food took 50 minutes. Some of the food came cold. Even saw a table of 4 leave due to the long wait for their food. We sat right next to the Host stand so we saw the whole thing go down. One of the patrons of the party was visibly upset & the Host actually smiled & said "Have a good night." It was clear she knew what she was doing.
