Not good for a place that claims to be for those with anxiety or looking for a great cosmetic dentist. Yes they welcome you by writing your name on a sign but that's about as far as it goes. I won't go into detail but dr Brett at first was ok and even cracked a joke and then soon became the most unprofessional dentist I've ever dealt with. For anyone looking this is Espire. They should aspire to do better. Maybe they need a training on professional behavior when working with customers. Not much more than a factory with shoddy work. Wouldn't return or recommend. I have been going to this office since I was young, maybe 10 or younger. I am now 27. I want to make this clear; Your office and a doctor from your office handed me a prescription for an antianxiety drug. I have panic attacks in my old age..ha.. and dentist trips have been something that I have avoided for the last couple of years. Both sides seemed to have understood that. I received a prescription from your office. I gave this form to a pharmacist. This prescription got canceled. I had no clue why. I eventually got in contact with Levin dental again to see what the problem was. Apparently the scrip had been tampered with.  Problem is, that I didn't tamper with it. This prescription was written out by the doctor and was not in any way tampered with, to my knowledge. Upon confronting, via phone call, Levin dental staff denied any possibility of fault and accused me of being the perpetrator of said tampering. This is ridiculous and offensive. (Fucking offencive) At this point, I would rather find a dentist in Denver's Medicaid system than mess with these people again. A thing that I am exploring now. I am canceling my cleaning appointment on 9/17/18 , and would like a formal apology for being accused of forging or tampering with said prescription. My last two cleanings at this location went from bad to worse. At my second to last cleaning the tech had issues with the x-ray equipment not working. Which took up a fair amount of time and the tech suggested I book a follow up appointment to finish the cleaning. I booked the follow up appointment with and was greeted by a temp who had trouble speaking due to her botoxed lips. I found the tech to be unprofessional and impersonal. Very friendly staff. They offer coffee and water while you wait. My dentist, Ronald G Linkow, recently partnered with Levin Family Dental, and the office happens to be in the same building. The entry room is bright and airy with lots of blues, greens and other fun colors. The space is deceptively large with multiple rooms for cleanings, treatments and other dental procedures. I am a huge fan of Angie who has been a hygenist for many many years. She is honest about the condition of my teeth and gums and what I can do to keep them in the best shape possible. For dentists I highly recommend Ronald Linkow as he is caring, knows dentistry extremely well and treats each patient with respect. There is ample parking in the lots for the building. They offer early appointments (7am and on) and I will continue going to Levin Family Dental for a long time. read more

This place is the real deal! It does not get any better as this! Both myself and my husband had our first appointments with this office this week. We both had amazing experiences. First off the office décor is so classy and very up to date. The front desk are very welcoming and very polite. Our hygienist was Cara. She explains everything as she goes, and is so knowledgeable. The cleaning was painless and with the cool little tool they use it was a breeze. She genuinely cared about our dental health and put us both on a plan to get us to where we need to be. This is how all dentist offices should be! The reviews are real and genuine (they don't have any advertisements in the office saying to review them on yelp and they will give you something, like you see in all these other businesses). They do have a long wait list to get in for your first visit, ours was 2 months! But trust me the wait was very much worth it. I feel the need to update my review after being a patient for a little over a year now. While the staff are excellent their policies are a little ridiculous. They require 48 hour notice cancellation. You get three strikes and after that they will no longer see you. So the first time I had to cancel was due to a snow storms and the roads being close where I live (Bennett) no exceptions that was my first strike. Oh, I also need to mention when you cancel they are not polite about it they treat you like a child. Second time I cancelled I gave them 28 hour notice to be exact, doesn't matter strike two. One more strike I will be out. I understand how it effects the staff but they are busy enough that a 24 hour cancellation should be sufficient. read more

I hate the dentist. Like, full-on sweaty palms, racing heart, overwhelming anxiety. I think my only positive dentist experience in the first 30 years of my life traces back to Dr. Mike, my pediatric dentist, and I'm pretty sure it was only because he made balloon animals and fed my sticker addiction. I moved from Washington back to Colorado after being told by my dentist (in WA) that I needed several expensive procedures before my crown could be placed. They offered no flexibility in scheduling and were generally unhelpful when it came to working with my moving and travel schedule. So, I decided to bite the bullet and find a dentist in Denver who was highly rated and could work with my schedule. A quick Yelp review yielded Levin Family Dental. I called, relayed my situation, and was told by the exceptionally helpful receptionist that my procedures could be accomplished, and the crown made and placed. All before leaving the country on May 2nd. I was thrilled. I had finally gotten some good news. I came to my first appointment and was blown away by the helpfulness and kindness of the front desk staff, the facilities, and the dental care providers. The hygienists were helpful and friendly, and Dr. Brett told me that, in fact, I didn't need the expensive procedures recommended by my former dentist. His conservatism and desire to minimize dental work for each patient is admirable and made me feel incredibly well taken care of. He was fully attentive during each appointment and worked to make me feel comfortable both physically and psychologically. Honestly, I'm blown away. Very professional, very friendly, very efficient. I was first drawn to Levin Family Dental because of their 7:00 AM appointment offerings, it's nice to not have to take time off from work to go to the dentist, so this was a huge plus for me. I am fairly new to Denver, so I was in search for a new dentist, and this was a great find. From the receptionists, to the hygienists, to the dentist, everyone was super helpful and personable the whole time. I didn't get the impression that they were trying to push things on me - they seemed to just give me their opinion and let me decide how I wanted to approach the situation given the boundaries of my insurance/out of pocket amounts etc.... I felt in very good hands, and will certainly be a regular from here on out. They said they do all of their marketing simply by word of mouth and encourage/reward personal referrals - this marketing strategy would only work if the majority of their customers had great experiences, and it certainly seems to be working based on the volume they do. It's rare to find any health care experience be great between the office, the doctor, and treatment. But that is exactly what I received in my first visit to Levin Family Dental. The office is modern, clean, and friendly. Within 3 minutes of arriving, Cara, my hygienist, greeted me, gave me a tour, and got right to work. The charting - xrays, dental photographs (some really cool tech I've never seen before) was efficient and clearly helpful at helping them assess me as a new patient. Cara was friendly, made the teeth cleaning experience comfortable, and offered useful tips for maintaining dental health (not just the cliche "floss more" lecture!) Dr. Jen Derse then examined my teeth as well, asked questions that made sense, and answered all my questions. So, this place came highly recommended from a friend and I can see why! Prior to my cleaning here a week ago, I hadn't been to the dentist in a very long time. I've always been a rather uneasy dental patient. Well, after enough years of putting it off, I finally made an appointment. From start to finish it was fantastic. Friendly people and top of the line dental technology/tools made for a pretty painless visit. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the wait time for appointments is rather long. It'll be about two weeks before I can go back and get some fillings. Not a huge deal, and I can understand why the wait is long because they're so great. Levin Family Dental is Ah-MA-ZING! I have had many negative experiences at the dentist office and was very scared to go and had put it off going for 2 years. I called Levin and this wonderful woman, Monique, answered the phone. I didn't realize how anxious I was and started to cry as I was getting more information. Her response was filled with kindness, sympathy, and determination to ensure I would not have another negative experience at the dentist. The month was full, but she went out of her way to get me an appointment before I was losing my insurance at the end of the month. MY CHECK-UP EXPERIENCE: Professional, thorough, and "non-preachy". As an adolescent and young adult, I struggled with bulimia and was very afraid I "ruined" my teeth and didn't want to know if I had, and I didn't want to feel bad about myself for it. When I got to my teeth cleaning with Tina, we ended up having the most in-depth conversation about how personal the mouth is and why it makes sense I was so anxious. I opened up to her about my shame. You would have thought they were therapists as well. :) I left knowing I didn't have mouth cancer, my teeth were very healthy, and what to do to maintain their health. Hands down THE best dental experience I've ever had!! Today was my first appointment as a new patient and when I walked in, Miss Barb already had my paperwork ready with a sticky note that said Welcome Allison. Talk about customer service. Kelly then took me back and listened to all my concerns. She could not have been more welcoming and warm. I then met with Dr. Jen who did an inspection of my teeth and mouth and gave me her honest opinion. This is not the type of place that gets joy out of having you part with your hard-earned money. She recommended a way less invasive and less expensive fix for my concerns. I have been with Dr. Brett for over a decade and I always had outstanding service. The office staff is friendly and his work has always been impeccable. I have no idea what happened but I had multiple nightmare experiences recently. First of all, he couldn't deaden me and I was literally jumping out of the chair. He scolded me and said if I jumped again it would be even more damage. He should of stopped immediately and sent me to a specialist! I thought something was inherently wrong me and that I simply can't be deadened (he had said this for years). Despite this red flag, I kept going back to him because I trusted him( after years of being his patient). Anyway it gets worse. I ended getting two root canals from his crown work. Later when I went back to have my permanent crowns inserted, he didn't deaden me (his assistant said they don't deaden for crowns) and it was very painful. So I grabbed my crowns and ran out of the office. I went to new dentist because I couldn't endure any more trauma. The new dentist had no trouble deadening me. It was painless and swift! So all these years that Dr. Levin told me I couldn't be totally deadened was a lie. I endured all that pain for nothing. I don't know if he is a closet sadist or what? He is the friendliness dentist I have met but it could be a mask. I hate writing negative reviews, but I am doing this to warn others. I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone. Remember everything isn't always as it appears. Some people only show their dark side to the naive or vulnerable. I was both!!!! I don't have a mean bone in my body so it incomprehensible to me when a person deliberately harms (lies) another. Unbelievable! read more

I had a problematic tooth which had been previously had a root canal and crown. Years later, I developed pain despite said treatments and Dr. Adam found deep decay through the root structure and the tooth could not be salvaged. Dr Adam walked me through the entire implant process, explaining everything thoughtfully and thoroughly. The initial extraction was not an easy one because of the decay, but the Dr and his assistant made sure that I remained comfortable and at ease; that's not an easy task since I am a bit of a baby when it comes to dental work. Despite the challenges, the extraction was successful and all of the following prep, healing and final seating of the implant went flawlessly and it's been rock-solid for the past few years. Dr Adam and the staff are awesome and I highly recommend them for general dental health upkeep, to more complicated procedures. read more

Awful. From the beginning, the first time I scheduled an appointment several years ago, I had to cancel because a family emergency came up. I received a call the day after canceling scolding me and saying they have a "2-strike rule." I understand this given the need to keep a business going, but having the receptionists call me and treat me like a child is insulting and condescending. I agree with the other reviewer in that every time I spoke to reception, it was like they were my mother and I had made a mistake and needed a scolding. Overlooked that and saw a different dentist here which was ok. Got a cavity filled which seemed disorganized and hectic. At the end, he told me it was much harder than expected which doesn't inspire much confidence. A few months later, got some pain in that same tooth and was told it had cracked after being filled. I went to see a different doctor in the office as the other doctor had retired. I asked to receive a prescription for an antibiotic for the tooth as I was going to Mexico the next day for a week and was afraid it would get infected. Was told no, so I called my old dentist in Boulder who got me in and gave me a prescription, as well as assessed my other teeth and the cracked tooth. Gave this office another chance and was switched to Dr. Levin. He was nice at first, referred me to get a root canal which I did. Got in for my crown appointment and was treated terribly (I don't even know what word to use, the experience was so bad). I have never had a crown before so didn't know the process. The hygienist who was very nice tried to help ME pick out a color and shape for my tooth and I had no idea what to expect or ask for so it took me a few minutes to decide on a color as I sometimes whiten my teeth. Apparently, I was taking too long and he pops his head in and says "hurry up," making his hygienist visibly nervous and making me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Then, I had to sit there and deal with him aggressively trying to fit the obviously oversized crown in my mouth because he was pressed for time and had obviously overbooked and had somewhere to be. I said "that makes my front teeth feel too tight" and his response was "good thing I'm not touching your front teeth" dismissing my pain and discomfort and insinuating that I had no knowledge of medicine and how it should feel. BTW, I am in medical school and will have my MD in one year. It's an uncomfortable situation to have a root canal and crown down and I felt bullied and sort of held captive during the crown work. I felt fearful to speak up because I was afraid of how he would treat me and I also felt very vulnerable given that I had a hole in my mouth from a root canal and needed the crown. It's a terrible feeling that most people in the healthcare profession are specifically trained not to do. After he walked away for a few minutes, I got up and got my phone to text my boyfriend to come back and sit with me because I felt so dismissed and disrespected that I sadly thought having a man near me would help the situation and he would treat me better. Alas, after finding out my boyfriend's occupation as a lawyer, I was much better treated and told "thank you" at the end. Total BS given the way I had been treated the entire time by this office. Now I drive to Boulder to get my teeth worked on because I will never deal with this place again. read more

I have been to many different dental offices and this is the first one I liked and left with a smile. My previous dentist had done a poor job and had charged me for some cleaning under the gums which he hadn't done. My insurance wouldn't allow more cleanings and wouldn't pay for the filling the previous dentist botched. Dr. Derse, Elizabeth, and others worked and called the previous dentist and my insurance for over a month and were in contact with me every step of the way. Finally my previous Dentist agreed to fix his mistakes. They did all of this without me even scheduling a second appointment! During the appointment they spent time with me and I didn't feel rushed at all. Everybody was extremely friendly and it was a comfortable stylish office. Why is it that almost every dentist office I have every been in looks like a time capsule from 1983?! Now, this was fine when I was a child in the early 80's but NOW it is completely unacceptable. If I am going to spend thousands of dollars in your office I would like to do so in a stylish setting. Let me say that Levin Family Dental is NOT from the 80's. My first impression upon walking into their chic 6th floor office was: "Amazing! A dentists office that isn't decorated in peach and sea green!" THAT of course got me a few stares but I digress. A beautiful, quite and peaceful office, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about these guys from the decor to the reception team down the Dr.'s and staff themselves everything is top notch and tres, tres currant. I actually haven't been to the Dentist in four years. My old dentist retired right after my last appointment (yes, it was probably my fault as I am high maintenance) and when it was time to schedule a new appointment and I found out he had quit, I just didn't bother to find a new one. For FOUR years. Can you guess? I don't really like the dentist. I don't have a crippling fear like some people do but a few bad experiences have made me apt to just put off going indefinitely. This has all changed and after seeing Dr. Jen Derse at Levin Family Dentistry. I went in for a cleaning and checkup knowing that I would probably also have to have a few cavities filled and maybe a little whitening done. After my initial shock of how calming and chic the offices are I was situated into dental suite to have a tech take my full set of 16 x-rays. They were comfortable and SUPER quick. I love that this office employs ALL the latest technology and equipment. This alone shows that these Dr.'s are investing in their practice as well as continuing to expand their education (they have to learn how to use all this stuff too!). The tech kept apologizing for the discomfort, but trust me, there was none at all. When I told her this she said they just want the whole dental experience to be as pleasant as possible. I met Dr. Jen once the x-rays were finished. I was throughly impressed. She strikes a wonderful balance of being talkative enough to make sure you are relaxed but also quite enough that you are not sitting there explaining your whole life (who likes to answer questions with fingers in their mouth?! Not me). She first went through my medical history with me as well as dental history, wanting to know if I had every had any bad dental experiences. The whole office wants to ensure your comfort, that is very evident. She said that strive to make sure that visiting the dentist is as tolerable as possible and I think they definitely achieve that. She measured my gums, tooth density, checked for oral cancer etc and then we talked over the three cavities I did in fact have. The best part? I didn't feel rushed at all and she listened thoughtfully to everything I had to say. THIS is remarkable. So many Doctor's that I see just rush you through your appointment. Not here they don't, they want to make sure all your concerns and questions are addressed. She also said that she thought my teeth were white enough (no high pressure sales, YES!) and that I could achieve a little more brightness but it probably wasn't worth the cost. If I wanted to they actually have a deal in the Spring where the cost of whitening is reduced by $150, the supplies are donated and Dr. Derse donates the service and your (reduced!) fee goes directly to charity for children who need dental work. I was beyond impressed. I am sending everyone I know to go at least for the deal on whitening, not to mention it's tax deductible. On to my cleaning. I had Sue clean my teeth. She assured me that she has been at this a long time and the plaque on my teeth was by far no where near some that she had seen. I loved hearing this because the last thing I wanted was a side of dental shame served up to me with everything else. She left my teeth sparkling clean with barely any discomfort at all, in just about 30 minutes. She is also a pro and I was beyond pleased. I don't have dental insurance and when I went to pay I was thrilled to see that while this top notch service isn't cheap, it was only marginally more than my old 80's style dentist. Score another star for reasonable prices. I have to schedule my appointment to have my cavities filled and I'm not dreading it in the least. I was hesitant at first to have Jen give me my veneers as she is a friend and I didn't want to lose a friendship just in case the veneers did not work out! After the first consultation and comfort I got from going to see Dr. Jen, I decided to move forward with the process. This place is fantastic! If you are looking for a dentist, I would highly recommend coming here. They will go above and beyond to help their patients. I had a huge filling fall out on a Friday night (a different dentist did the work last year), just before I was heading out of town and it was causing a lot of pain. I called the emergency line, and Dr. Levin came in on a Friday night and did the filling himself, so I wouldn't have to be in pain all weekend. It is very hard to find a dentist that is not only good, but one that you can really trust to do the work right and give you honest information. He and Dr. Jen are amazing, I only wish I found them sooner! read more

I can't recommend Levin Family Dental highly enough. Every member of the staff with whom I met -- Kent, Sue Ann, Lindsey, Liz, and Dr. Jen -- seemed to go out of their way to make me feel comfortable and welcome. Compared to other dentists in the Denver area to whom I have gone, Levin was far superior: better equipment, better and more comprehensive discussion of exam results and options.
