The creek paddle is full of wild life from frogs, turtles, ducks, geese, cranes, and even cows out in a pasture. The boaters pay attention to the rules of "no wake." There are two restaurants you can paddle to as well for lunch and then paddle back. Better yet, bring your own lunch and enjoy in your kayak. The owners were very kind and instructed me on technique and proper form when rowing a kayak. My partner and I came on a calm morning with perfect weather conditions to kayak (no wind, flat water.) We got the faster kayaks and were able to kayak 2 miles going to see Hector Falls and 2 miles coming back. I truly cannot feel like I understand and know a body of water now without kayaking it first. The price for 2 hours was $52, but given it is the famous, Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes region, I feel it's warranted and definitely worth it. During our stay in the Finger Lakes, for both of us, this was one of our absolute favorite things to do on the trip. When we come back, we will definitely visit this business again. First he has and knows everything about the equipment and will get you perfectly situated for what you need to have an amazing time out on the water. What really shines is his personality though... Pete is a giver and is generous with his time, expertise and enthusiasm for paddling. He not only runs the shop, but helps get you in and out of the boat and safely in and out of the canal. The water was clean in some parts and not in others. There were a few large branches we had to avoid. We got a quick good lesson on kayaking before we went into the water; it was very helpful. Our kayaking journey was absolutely beautiful. We passed a whole lot of ducks. They really kept us entertained. We passed a cute park, went through some gorgeous neighborhoods. Overall, there were a lot of trees on the shore by the canal so it felt very serene. I would recommend kayaking here! :)

We had a group of 8 and were the only ones on the river at that time of that particular day. Dylan was our guide and he was fantastic! He made sure we were safe, but that we had the times of our lives. It was a sunny, warm summer day. But not too warm that the water felt warm. We did some swimming next to the boat, some jumping off, some cliff jumping a little over halfway into the trip(which lasted about 5 hours total), stopped for a snack of juice and cookies then had an amazing dinner at the end! They even had a meal ready for my vegetarian kid! They even have a photographer taking your picture from the sides as you're going down and the price for the pictures at the end was super reasonable! I can't say enough how great it was. I recommend them to everyone who asks where they should go.
