First drive in theater experience! We went during their reopening weekend so they had special deals. You pay an admission fee, tune in to their radio, and watch 2 movies. We watched The Father and Guardians of the Galaxy. During the first movie, there were staff going around making sure cars were parked in the right areas and conformed to lights off in cars. However, in the second movie around 11pm, cars would pull up to our site and leave their lights on for about 30 minutes completely blocking our view. Maybe the staff had gone home at that point but it ruined our experience of being able to enjoy our movie. Overall, the drive in was a great experience. Prices are reasonable and I would come here again.

The Fair Oaks Drive In movie theater is now back under the ownership of the Mege family. The same people who ran the drive-in from 1990-2013. Theater was closed in 2014. Open by two individuals 2015 did a poor job and that's putting it nicely. IGNORE the two negative reviews on the page they are from 2015. SPECIAL PRICING MONDAY Monday night special $5.00 per person Got there early and picked a perfect spot. The BIG outdoor screen is freshly painted I went inside to the concession stand. Decided to order the hot roast beef with gravy and french fries. The staff of course is very friendly and helpful. The concession area is all repainted re done and looking great I took my dinner out to my spot in front of the BIG screen and opened up my container and it looked absolutely delicious just the right amount of cheese not too much and just the right amount of gravy as well. It was perfectly cooked and was absolutely delicious flavorful juicy with the cheese and gravy complementing each other. French fries golden brown hot and crispy on the outside but nice potato flavor on the inside. Around 9 PM finding Dory started. The movie looked absolutely fantastic with the new digital projection system. The BFG was the second movie of the double feature. It was a very fun and entertaining movie good for kids and adults. Of course I also got some popcorn and it was very tasty perfectly prepared as well. I really had an excellent time. The staff very friendly and helpful. The food very reasonably priced delicious with lots of good choices. Make sure to look at the special heroes, that they serve Thursday through Sunday. The movie looking so good up on the GIANT Outdoor screen. The biggest drive-in screen in orange county in fact one of the very biggest in the United States of America. I'll definitely be making the trip back up to the Fair Oaks Drive In several times this season. As I have been coming since 1997 Sure to tell your friends family coworkers relatives neighbors. Even spread the word on Facebook this IS a fantastic drive-in movie outdoor cinema!! Complements to Ron, Kelly and the entire staff. A night under the stars 2 movies for the price of one! PERFECTION!!!

I love this drive in, it's great to come to the movie with the hubby, friends or just my dog. Yes my pooch loves a good film. The food is great and reasonably priced. So much less than the big chain and your in the comfort of your own car.

The concessions are vital to a theater's resources and having many options is great. My only concerns have never been addressed by owners or management. The bathrooms in the lower section are tiny, dark and smelly, even at opening hour. The wait lines are long so you miss a lot mid-movie. The upper section has no bathrooms, but rather porta-potties, which aren't cleaned daily and are very dark at night. Another concern is projector brightness. Screen 1 has the brightest and largest screen and even dark themed movies are quite visible even in the rain. It helps that the projector is housed across the snack bar and very close to the screen. Screens 2 and 3 are projected from much farther away and into smaller screens. It seems that the projectors must be upgraded to liquid cooled laser projectors, whose brightness and clarity isn't affected with a proper lens. Instead in a dark themed movie, all one sees is only what is bright and so you're left guessing what's going on in the screen. This totally ruins the experience of going to the movies. There aren't many outdoor movie screens left and having the opportunity to enjoy one is an amazing experience. I truly hope and pray management addresses these issues, so that this establishment can continue to be enjoyed by generations upon generations!

Pre-movie parents are relaxed, kids a running about enjoying the outdoors and when it's time for the movie you settle into you lawn chair or kick back in the bed of your pickup truck. It has a big screen feel with the outdoor elements all around you. Magical sunsets or spooky clouds and mist roll in to make the viewing experience even more thrilling. Sound is delivered over a radio channel, so I recommend bringing an external speaker and stand alone radio. The car radio is okay but can be problematic if it keeps shuttling off or the rear speakers are not good. The staff is fun and concessions are average. Bug spray is recommended. I truly enjoy the drive-in experience as a wonderful nostalgic summertime activity. Hopefully drive-ins will never totally disappear.

My girlfriend and I were able to find this location after doing a little research. The price is outstanding. We paid $7 per ticket which gave us a double feature... Starting at 8:30 was "We're the Millers," followed by "Elysium." We were able to listen to the movies by tuning our stereo to 107.9. I think the transmitting volume may have been a little high though, when the movies got loud, the speakers got slightly distorted in the bass. There were many cars for the first showing, but we had plenty of room. Also, each spot is elevated upward for a better viewing angle. They have both male and female rest rooms outside attached to the office. Also, they have full concessions from what I saw, though I did not go in since we made our own popcorn before leaving home. All in all, an outstandingly fun time out with my girlfriend. I would definitely recommend to anyone. A word of advice: Since the movie goes through your car stereo, you will need to start your car occasionally to prevent your battery from dying. Though if it does, the staff is fully prepared to give you a jump.

Bathrooms are limited to one person or family group at a time. Masks required when ordering. Hand sanitizer available, and staff was wearing masks CORRECTLY! With such a dearth of fun activities these days, I don't know why they're not sold out every night! Get tickets with the FB page links. Definitely want to go back. I'm gonna do a little side rant about Yelp reviews here because there's something I don't get. I see a lot of great reviews and then a 4 star review. If everything was awesome just give it a 5. Those 4s add up and I feel like people that use Yelp are always looking for the great reviews. You get a 5 and 4 from two people that love something. Now you have a 4.5 that should have been a 5. Definitely order a cookie.

To have one right in our borough, in our very crowded city, is such a treat. And it was all free. The second time we went we even got free treats left on our windshield. The staff was amazing. They led us through the maze of metal barricades and cones to the viewing area, made sure we were parked appropriately on the lawn, good enough to view the screen perfectly straight on, and helped us to turn all of our lights off. When we weren't able to tune them all off while still listening to the movie audio on our radio, they came around and lent us a portable radio. That way we could turn the car completely off and listen to the movie audio from their borrowed radio. There was also a food stand, but we had dinner beforehand and brought our own snacks, so we didn't order from them. All in all, a pretty awesome experience for the whole family.
