I stayed here the first weekend of March to celebrate my child's birthday. When I arrived on Friday, everything seemed great at first. However, on Saturday morning during breakfast, there were no labels on any of the food being served. This is concerning because guests with food allergies could easily have a serious reaction if they don't know what ingredients are in the dishes. While I was there with my kids, I also noticed a woman sitting on her phone who I initially thought was another guest. It turned out she was actually an employee. She was not wearing a uniform or hairnet and was using her phone in plain sight of guests in the food area, which didn't seem very professional. Later that evening, when my kids and I returned to our room, we found ants all over the shower. On top of that, I barely slept because the people in the room above us were stomping around late into the night. On Sunday morning, I also noticed ants coming from the wall in the room, which made the situation even more concerning. I've tried contacting the manager and left my phone number, but it has been almost a week and I still haven't received a response. We stayed here for 3 nights in the king room and it was a comfortable stay. The room was an enough space for two adults and a 4 yo and was clean. Tv, mini fridge and a microwave not bad! Also a pull out sofa bed! Creaky but comfortable and not lumpy. The parking and breakfast is free and you have a pretty decent selection only missing cheese for the eggs. Coffee was really good for hotel coffee! The staff for the most part friendly and helpful! Except the landscaper. I was with my son in the pool and he started working around the property. Out of nowhere he started blowing and pollen and debris flies everywhere and I wave my hands to get his attention and he stopped. It's no problem we went back to pool fun and then immediately after he started blowing inside the pool area while we're are in the hot tub and then blew near our towels and bag at the table. I had no choice but to dust out stuff off and pack up because he continues to blow the pool and the other side while we were in there. It seems he wanted us to leave why else would he continue to blow while people are in a pool and hot tub? It was centrally located to lots of nearby attractions like Napa and Six flags are both 15 mins away. I'm definitely going to make it back this way again just for the ease and convenience. read more

This Fairfield is decently close enough to Napa to stay at when up in wine country, with plenty of space in the rooms (can definitely sleep up to 5 in a double queen room), complimentary parking and extensive free breakfast. I was really impressed by the breakfast spread - nothing fancy but options ranged from hot foods like scrambled eggs and sausages, to a waffle machine with all the fixings, plus cereal, pastries, and oatmeal. It was plenty to fill you up and save a trip out for breakfast. Staff was polite and courteous and we didn't have any issues with check-in or check-out. Bed was pretty comfortable and the room had a good amount of plugs that were easy to reach. Now the negatives - the facility is very obviously dated, while you can tell it has been renovated and the furniture refreshed, the elevator is atrociously old and slow (literally takes almost 30 seconds to travel between the second floor and the first). The TV was outdated and didn't really work properly when trying to use streaming services. The bathroom was large and spacious, but the lighting fixtures needed repair - one light was completely motion sensor only (no option for manual) which means it kept turning on and off unless you're in there doing a constant dance, and the other vanity light looked like it was going to short every time we turned it on (a lot of flashing & loud clacking noises). The walls are also paper thin, we listened to a couple fight for almost 2 hours in an adjacent room until well past midnight. That said, Fairfield is a decent budget hotel adjacent to the Napa area. As long as you know you will be getting a budget hotel experience, I don't have too many complaints. read more

I know this only got a three star rating as a hotel, but my experience was superior! 1) it was super easy to make Reservations online. There were so many options Pre-pay, pay when you come, several discounts, nice room options. A special note, I actually got two rooms one for two nights and the other room for just one night. 2) check-in was easy online and was able to get a digital key for my phone. We did not anticipate a delay, but when I chatted online to the hotel directly, they were very understanding and said not to worry because my room was guaranteed and they would not give our room away. 3) the first thing we noticed when we walked into the lobby was how fresh and clean it smelled. The second thing we observed was the decor was tasteful and thoughtful. Everything looked great. The service was excellent and want to particularly recognize two of the front desk, professionals, Kia, and Jo. Kia was so pleasant and patient. I happen to be a customer who knows what she likes and I asked if our assigned room was facing the back for front. She said she had been gone a while and wasn't sure about our room but assured me if it wasn't facing the direction I wanted she would try to accommodate me. Sure enough she moved us to my requested direction :) We were so delighted with the quality of the coffee, breakfast food and fruit! Our room was cleanly appointed with beautiful wall paper, artwork that really worked with the area and so very clean and comfortable. When My Brother survived an attempt at a car theft, God made it so the car would drive and it was successfully towed to his house without incident. Guess what? They caught the would be thief and no further harm was done. Jo graciously gave us a discounted rate for the trouble. This is true customer service and so unexpected! I would recommend this establishment to anyone traveling this way, so very close to the wine country and Six Flags. read more

Made reservations here via Expedia. Check in was very easy. They have free parking. The rooms are pretty clean and nothing broken. The biggest issue I have with this hotel is the smell of the hallway. It smells old and moldy. Elevator sounded like it's going to break or stall soon. But everything else was decent. The King room we booked had plenty of space, but honestly, we didn't need much more than a comfy bed. We were out tasting wine and sightseeing most of the time, and it served that purpose well. However, the property itself could use some love--it seemed like renovations were underway, but there's still work to be done. The breakfast wasn't anything special; we opted to go out on the second day instead. Fairfield Inns are generally reliable, but this one missed the mark a bit. Definitely keep an eye out on your credit card charges after your stay here. So I purchased the hotel room through Expedia with my debit card. Now, a month later I received a random pending $40 charge on my credit card from "FAIRFIELD INN & SUITES." The front desk swipes a card on file during your stay so I gave them my credit card not thinking much of it. Once I saw the pending charge, I called the front desk to send me a receipt to my email. Charges are at $0 and the lady says it must be from Expedia. First of all, why would it say Fairfield Inn as the charge when my previous one said Expedia? Second, Expedia does not have my credit card information at all because I bought it with my debit. Therefore, it was probably the hotel, and guess what, the charge disappeared a few hours after I called. Side note: the walls are paper thin. Great deal for the price - compared to the significantly higher cost at most Napa and Sonoma hotels, inns and B&Bs. The place is clean, the staff was friendly and the room offered all of the necessities - microwave, fridge, large flat screen TV, a couch and table in a decent sitting area and plenty of plugs for charging your devices. The outdoor pool is more than adequate, and offers lounge chairs, tables and umbrella coverage as well as a hot tub. Breakfast, which is about to undergo a major overhaul and upgrade was more than adequate. The lobby offered snacks, ice cream, and plenty of drinks for very reasonable prices. There is a small fitness center with a TV and guest laundry facilities. So where is the downside you ask? Travel time and depending on precisely when - traffic. Typical morning rush heading to Napa and Sonoma and the reverse from 4:30 to 6:30. In addition, American Canyon and nearby Vallejo do not offer the restaurant choices - there is distinct lack of top notch cuisine other than at the Carneros Inn about 15 minutes away. I had a certificated to use for a free night Marriott and chose to utilize it here on Memorial weekend. I heart how the fence around the front of the hotel is lined with grapevines! Parking, wireless internet and breakfast was complimentary. Check in was efficient and my room was located on the top floor with a view of an empty lot behind the hotel. My room was roomy & spotless and seemed like it had been remodeled recently. The room had a sitting area with sofa, work station desk, mini frig, microwave and king size bed with a large flat screen. I didn't have bfast here but just grabbed a hard boiled egg to go since there was a Starbucks was up the street. Only con here was it was probably a good 15 to 20 minute drive to Yountville and further to the better known wineries. I would stay here again in the future. read more

The comforter has stains. i found a candy wrapper underneath the bed that was not mine. We love coming to Napa but we don't enjoy the prices so this hotel is a win. It's an easy 15 min drive to downtown Napa. There's places to eat around the hotel and close to grocery stores. There's ample free parking. They offer free breakfast that is sufficient. If you follow a strict diet there will be limited selection. There an outdoor pool and hot tub but we did not use as it was raining. Everyone at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. The customer service is what you would expect from a Marriott. The room itself was spacious. We stayed on the 3rd floor, king room. It had a mini kitchenette, no dishes but it's nice to have a microwave, sink and counter if that's what you are looking for. There was noticeable, slight cracks and peeling in the bathroom but it didn't ruin the experience, although probably ready for a touch up to keep up to the standards. The shower pressure was not to my liking unfortunately but it was a clean shower which is always a plus. When we were there it was quiet but we did hear the room next door once so I imagine if you stay when there's a loud guest you will be able to hear. Overall I think this is a great option if you want to experience the Napa area without paying Napa prices. If you have that mindset you won't be disappointed. read more

I was traveling with my three boys and had a HORRIBlE experience at this hotel. Usually I enjoy Marriot and Fairfields. We checked in to find that the TV and wifi were out of service. We moved to the pool where jets in the whirlpool did not work. These were minor issues. However, in the middle if the night a worker walked into our room. He quickly left after I told him to get out. I am sure you can imagine it took me awhile to get back to sleep. Jack hammers and other loud machines began working at 7 am. I was not aware of construction being done prior to the morning. (Probably explains tv and wifi) Then I discovered our interior quilt was blood stained and it was not ours! I tried to give the hotel an opportunity to respond before I posted this review. However, lack of response leads leads me to believe some if these issues may be normal. We travel often and I have never experienced anything like this. I would suggest staying elsewhere if you are traveling in this area. read more

Moldy shower in room 101 sporting black streaks of growth, hidden light switches making entrance in tbe dark dangerous and frustrating and a check lady that was on a social call, never got off while I checked in. She never spoke during check in as she was on the phone, I was never greeted. All for $180/night. The television came with internet tv - you do need an existing account though. The blinds were thick - blocked all the light. The walls are pretty thin which is what someone mentioned. The front desk was terrible, one even stole money from us and the other wouldn't look at the charges. Our folio and their computer showed one price, the correct price, but our credit card was charged another price. They blindly wouldn't listen. The woman there at check out was extremely rude and I hate to say either very unintelligent or trying to stand up for her coworker and act dumb. It wasn't a huge amount and we were so sick of trying to describe why credit card charges and folio/room check out/ receipt of what we should be charged ... should be the same.... that we angrily just chose to give up. The hotel was decent for the price. The beds were super comfortable actually. The hot tub was nice. We spent quite a bit of time in it. The breakfast was standard but the added bonus was mini Nutella packets! The MAIN ISSUE was the key security for the rooms. I left a sticky note attached to the key for when my friends arrived for their room later that night. Beautifully remodeled hotel. From the outside you couldn't tell but this hotel just recently got a renovation and I was pretty impressed. You walk in and lobby is nicely kept and the staff was pleasant. Hallways smell nice, carpets are new, walls are clean. The rooms are truly the highlight though. You walk in and everything feels new and fresh. Room is spacious with just the right amount of furniture. The room also has a brand new tv mounted on the wall, huge bathroom, and comfortable bed. Breakfast is spot on (hot breakfast that includes eggs, meats, waffle maker, fresh fruit). Only 2 issues I had was that there is no closer in the room, it's just an open area to hang your stuff in. The other issue is on the day of checkout (12 o'clock) housekeeping tried to come in twice, at 9 and then 10 o'clock. Overall great renovation and pleasant stay! read more

It's important to mention that there is construction for a church taking place in the lot that is located in the back of the hotel and that they start working really early in the morning. I would recommend you ask the staff at the front desk to give you a room in a section of the hotel where the noise won't bother you. Parking and breakfast are complimentary. Nearby you'll find plenty of restaurants, fast food, a brewery, a liquor store, and a gas station. Perfect location that gets cool wind during the summer. Friendly and efficient staff. One of the cleanest hotels we have stayed in during Covid. Wonderful location, 30 minutes from Napa and Sonoma as well as only 1 hour to Sausalito. Very quiet and spacious rooms. We stayed in room 329 and it has a beautiful view of the hillsides and meadows. Breakfast was a a nice variety of breakfast sandwiches, coffee, juice, fruit, yogurt and breads. This hotel was our home for 4 nights when Ciara G, Amy B and I went to Napa. The front desk was always super friendly and helpful, and there was hot coffee or tea, lemon ice water and fruit, and a couple different major newspapers available in the lobby at all times. The room had 2 queen-sized beds, a kitchenette with a sink, microwave, coffee maker (with coffee and tea) and fridge, a desk, and a little sitting area with easy chair and loveseat. The loveseat was actually a pull-out sofabed, so there was a separate sleeping space for each of us. And there were Pantene hair products and Vaseline Total Moisture Lotion in the bathroom. There are several free wifi channels open and accessible without a password, which was super helpful when writing this Yelp! Breakfast was served between 6am and 10am, and it was pretty comprehensive on the first Saturday morning: * coffee, decaf and tea station with regular and flavored creamers, sugars/sugar alternatives and tea bags * waffle-making station with butter, margarine and regular and sugar free syrup * hard boiled eggs with packets of salt, pepper, ketchup and taco sauce * cinnamon raisin/white/wheat/french toast-looking slices, bagels and english muffins to toast in the 4-slice toaster, with peanut butter, jams, cream cheese, butter and margarine for shmearing - and even cinnamon sugar for sprinkling * instant flavored (and plain) hot oatmeal with walnuts, raisins, cinnamon, cinnamon sugar and brown sugar (you can use the coffee station creamers too!) * assorted cold cereals and muffins and danishes * apples, oranges and bananas * yogurt, milk, soy milk, juices Another weekday morning, they also had: * Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage biscuits * Quiche squares Pretty good breakfast! The AC was really loud and outdated so we slept with the window open. If I am traveling with the same people I might stay here again but on my own I would pick someplace closer to town. After a long day of wine tasting in Napa, we couldn't wait to get back to our hotel. The day was so exhausting that we opted out of doing a sit down dinner in a restaurant and took our dinner in to go boxes so that we could head back to the hotel. Check in process was fast and here's a breakdown of why I liked this hotel so much: *Huge room- There were 5 of us girls and there was plenty of space for our luggage to be placed so we were never in each other's way. *Big clean bathroom- No comment needed on this one. We were able to have 2 girls in here at the same time getting ready since the sink area was large enough to accomodate us. *Comfortable beds- Two queen sized beds and comfy pillows made for a great night's sleep. The one gal that had to sleep on the pull out couch had no complaints either. *Free continental breakfast in the morning- Since only 2 of us woke up early enough to make it into the lobby area, they were able to grab us some bananas and muffins along with fresh coffee. *Great room rates- It was around $200 when we stayed here and since we split up the cost between 5 people, it came out to around $45 per person including tax. More often than not, my visit to a hotel, B&B or luxury resort has been planned out months in advance. I am almost never "fly by the seat of his pants" guy and there are reasons for this. We found this hotel on expedia and I yelped it as well, but literally like 3 hours prior to check in. Not a good idea for likes to plan ahead guy (that would be me) and I blame no one but myself for this. We just needed a place to crash so we could wake up early and hit up Spa Terra for some R&R. Checked in around 8:30 after a long day of driving and zip lining and were soar beyond belief. We just wanted to spend twenty five minutes in the jacuzzi and hit the sack. But wait, the hot tub and pool are located.... OUT-FREAKING-SIDE!!!!
