We used the huge soaking tub and the fireplace was automatic. The walk in shower was huge and pressure and hot water were totally fine. I'm not sure how they heard about what happened, but that was totally unexpected! So, despite the experience from check in to room change to being charged and uncharged for in room service that was unilaterally canceled with no notification, someone, somewhere at the resort took steps to make it up to us literally right before we were walking out of the door. I want to start by saying that most of my interactions with their staff were extremely pleasant. They seemed to be doing their best with the resources they have. That said, they need more support! During our first stay on August 22, 2026, we encountered several minor issues that didn't warrant an initial conversation with management. These included long check-in lines at the front desk, unusually long waits for the valet to retrieve our car, lack of staff support at the family pool, and repeated requests from the front desk for the same items needed in our room. Since this was our first time staying here and there was a large concert, we assumed they were overwhelmed. My wife completed a survey after our first stay, which prompted an email conversation with the Managing Director, Paul Maddison. He referred us to their People & Culture Coordinator, Natalie de Anda, who promptly called and tried to make up for the experience. She mentioned an upgrade for our next stay and assured me our experience would be better. We returned two weeks later, on September 6, 2026, for a second concert. Unfortunately, the second experience was worse. After arriving in town early to avoid the long check-in line, we still found our rooms weren't ready by the 4 pm check-in. Multiple guests were having the same experience. Because of the late check-in, my kids couldn't do the activities we had promised them, and we had issues with our off-site dinner reservations. We avoided using the valet service after our first experience, only to find their electric vehicle charging stations, four in total, located right in front of their valet station, occupied by non-EV cars. I later realized the room we stayed in was the exact room we initially booked, so there was no accommodation for the issues we experienced during our first stay. After our second stay at the resort, I reached out to both Mr. Maddison and Ms. de Anda again, but I received no response. The resort is a beautiful location with great potential, but without adequate staff to handle guest volume and with a lack of follow-through from management, I will never stay here again. If you are coming for a concert, I strongly suggest you stay off-site.
