I wasn't concerned because these type of issues do happen from time to time. When we got to our room on the sixth floor we were happy to see the whole floor was already updated and WOW it was so beautiful and very updated. The room was extremely clean and you could tell that housekeeping take great pride in their work. We have been to a great deal of hotels and condos throughout the United States and we were happy with our stay and the location was very convenient for all the things we had planned for the short stay. I also really liked the art work in our room. I looked everywhere to see where I could purchase the art but unfortunately came up with nothing so the search will continue. I hope management will let all their employees know how much we appreciate all the hard work they did and we plan to come back again and excited to see what it looks like once its finished. Thank you for the great time crossing fingers I can find out what company makes the picture that was in our room.

We made a mistake when booking and accidentally went through Priceline instead of booking directly with the hotel. It quickly became clear that we might be out the money we had already paid, which was frustrating to say the least. That's when Assistant Manager Rolando Guitterrez stepped in. Instead of giving us a quick "nothing we can do," he took extra time to really look into the situation. He worked through the details, explored options, and ultimately found a way to help us so we didn't lose that money. That kind of effort and genuine concern is something you just don't see often anymore. What really impressed us was that even after going above and beyond to fix our issue, he still offered us a complimentary room upgrade at no additional cost. That level of customer service speaks volumes about both him and the hotel. Beyond that, the property itself was extremely clean--from the lobby to the hallways, rooms, and pool area--and every employee we interacted with was overly friendly and welcoming. This was one of the best hotel experiences we've had in a long time. If you're staying in the Lewisville area, this is the place to go.

It was clean, the amenities were sufficient, and the bed was comfortable. The room came with one coplimentary bottle of water. There are no stairs near the elevator; I felt guilty about having to use the elevator for my second-floor room. The stairs required walking out of the building. Odd. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. I dined at the only restaurant bar for dinner. The lone bartender/server, Tom, was friendly and attentive enough. I enjoyed the Four Points martini (with pineapple and blue curacao) and appreciated that they were running a daily menu special as an additional option to their small menu. The salmon was good, but it was a bit dry; the spinach and sauce balanced it out. The mac and cheese tasted like something out of a box -- I assumed it would be an adult version, with better cheese and some crumbs on top. This being Texas, I hoped the menu would at least have two barbecue choices and some onion rings, perhaps. In the end, having the restaurant was convenient. I could have gone out to the restaurants in the nearby mall, but I was too busy and tired to do so. I did not have enough time, but I wish I had tried the inviting pool in the Texas heat. I would find time to do this, as well as do a quick gym workout, next time. The banquet servers were equally eager to please and the food was good. The hotel's Wi-Fi is reliable both in-room and in the conference rooms. However, the conference rooms lack charging ports. We had roundtable setups, and most of us brought our laptops. It was challenging to find charging stations or ports. There were few and far between on the walls. If there's an improvement to modernize the facilities, this should be it. Nevertheless, this hotel is one level up from a value property, and it is nice enough for both business and leisure stays, IMHO.

I found out from other guest the smell is actually Sewer Gas that was coming up in the shower and bathroom sink. No matter how long you ran the water the smell was still there. I was told by other guest they too had complained the day before, so the front desk is very aware and does nothing.

Upon check-in, I found a note from one of the nice maids inviting me to enjoy my stay and feel free to use the amenities. I did notice the customary chocolate was absent but this is a minor quibble. After some time enjoying the facility, I decided to avail myself of the on-site dining options and chose the lasagna with garlic bread. Because my assistant and I were seated with a view of the kitchen area, I glimpsed an interaction between the manager and two of the chefs during dinner preparation that was surprising. It seemed one of the chefs had burned the garlic bread. The senior chef and the manger got into a bit of a row and the senior chef threatened to quit as the poor chef who'd burned the garlic bread hurriedly prepared a new serving...WITH the help of the manager! It seems the manager really didn't want to have the senior chef walk out on him hah! Dinner was delicious and quite filling, I wasn't even able to finish the portion they gave me and I split it with my assistant. Note that on the way to dinner, I noticed one of the poor cabana boys passed out on a lounge. They work them so hard that I couldn't even rouse the boy when I tried. He did appear later in the evening and accompanied us on the shuttle to local shopping and told several very funny jokes. The missing chocolate upon check in and the silverware at dinner being somewhat plain (I was expecting sterling silver cutlery in an establishment of this class) were really the only negatives. My assistant did not care for the art work - specifically the paintings - hung in the entry way and stated this as we exited. Definitely recommend a stay with this place!

Cons: This place is very gross! It smells absolutely horrible in the halls. Like a mixture of weed, urine, and animals. We stayed on the 3rd floor, the last room, it was the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom. The room itself was decently cleaned besides the fridge. But outside of the room and all the way down the hall was the most horrible smell ever! I complained twice and it was never fixed during our entire stay. I think the person across from that room lives there long term and has animals that caused that awful smell. It was very bad. Also the front area is gross, peek the ceiling fans! I will say, the housekeeping ladies were cleaning every single time I saw them but I think so many people live there long term and its hard to keep it nice. Also, the elevator is a long ways away and my grandmother is handicapped. It was hard to get from the elevator to the room. The other one is broken.

Parking is free and spaces are abundant in both the hotel's lot and the nearby parking garage. The lobby and lounge areas are clean and inviting, decorated in soothing earth tones with modern furnishings. There is also a massive ballroom, ideal for weddings or business functions (I'm unsure of the exact capacity though). Full disclosure - I have NOT stayed in any of their rooms. I have only come here to attend special events. Therefore, I can only speak about those experiences which include the food, drinks and the serving crew. The food they provide is tasty although not particularly fancy or gourmet. It's about what you'd expect from a casual 3.5 star restaurant. The servers are good about keeping the containers topped up so everything is fresh and hot. They also waste no time clearing away empty/dirty dishes. I had to purchase my own drinks from the small hotel bar since alcohol was not included in the banquets I attended. While the selection is limited at least some basics are available. Of course nothing is cheap! If you aren't attending a catered event here, there are far better options to get food and drinks by venturing out to one of the nearby restaurants. Several are even within walking distance.

Carlos was friendly and upgraded our room after discussing we were staying there for our anniversary. Very unexpected and very kind. Our room was on the 8th floor overlooking the atrium. The room was huge, with a living room, separate bedroom, and a gigantic closet. There were a lot of noises in the room (popping and drill noises). We were close to the elevator, so not sure if it was that. Part of the hotel is currently in the renovation process, so it could have been that too. The drill noises stopped, but the popping noises didn't really seem to go away overnight. There was also a bright green light (smoke detector?) that flashed every 12 seconds or so. The rugs in the room were coming up at the edges so you had to be careful where you were walking. We had several near misses and one fall. The main issues we had were with dining. We started at the outdoor pool and ordered a few drinks. My parents arrived after us and ordered some drinks as well. Since we had the same last name, the bartender didn't ask for their room, they just went off of the last name and put everything on mine. A manager came by and got it situated fairly quick. We wanted to try the riverwalk cantina for dinner Saturday night. They didn't take reservations so we showed up around 5. They were buffet only, even though the menu scanned from the QR code in our room and on the Gaylord app showed a full menu. While we enjoy Mexican food, paying $110 for 3 buffets seemed too much, so we went to the Texan Station. The amount of time we spent waiting for the bills to be corrected really put a damper on what should have been an stress-free anniversary celebration "staycation". It definitely doesn't make us want to come back for a staycation anytime soon.
