The location is tucked in nicely close to I-75. The staff was very helpful and amazing. The bar just outside the pool was an oasis after a long day of traveling. The bartender was witty and fun, he definitely kept all the guests in conversation and made it that much more fun for everyone. Sunday morning coffee along with the 7 am breakfast is a nice touch. Able to get a better than normal breakfast with eggs, bacon, toast, fruit, oatmeal, and yes chocolate milk. This started the next leg of my journey off right. The room was spacious and modern, kicking back and watching a few of the World Cup games on that big screen in the room was awesome. I am definitely coming back again. read more

Our room had all the comfort of a military barracks -- contractor-grade vinyl roll, toilet paper resembling wax paper, etc. It appeared that the HVAC system employed some sort of occupancy sensor to adjust the temperature to an unsatisfactory point. We wondered why a relatively recently constructed facility would still install a bath tub -- but it was nice to have to step over the side. Incidentally, the name of the establishment is apparently intended to attract traffic from the interstate. It is really not very close to I75. It's also a rather good hike to downtown. There are better locations -- we'll do better next time. And, certainly not worth the high price paid. read more

This is the worst hotel I've ever been at. I called the hotel before I made reservations. I told them I was looking for a hotel that could accommodate connecting rooms because I have a family of 5 with young children. The hotel said they could accommodate connecting rooms if I booked there. If they could not accommodate them, they should have told me upon calling and I NEVER WOULD HAVE BOOKED! The person at the hotel took down my info and said she would make sure we had connecting rooms. I immediately booked the hotel. I arrived at the hotel at check in time. No commenting room. I explained the situation, and Neal at the front desk suggested I put my young children in a room on a different floor. I said I cannot do that. Although this is highly inconvenient, I'll squeeze the family into one room and cancel the 2nd. Then, Neal, after 2 calls to the manager, said that I wasn't allowed to cancel the 2nd room. He was going to check me into the room against my will. I said I wouldn't go to the room. I was never given keys and did not step foot in the 2nd room. This is maybe the most insane hotel experience I've ever had. I'm a moderate traveler-- I stay at hotels ~30 nights per year. It's not convenient to have to book connecting rooms when traveling with family, and I learned my lesson many years ago to call the hotel in advance of the reservation. If a hotel says they can't guarantee it until check in, I don't book that hotel. I can't take the chance because connecting rooms are a non negotiable when I'm traveling with my family. read more

As a pretty new hotel to Gainesville, I think this is a solid choice to stay at. The hotel and its rooms are nice and modern. I enjoyed the spacious bathroom and room overall. Really gives you space to spread out and not feel so crowded. The breakfast was ok, your standard continental breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Just be aware on a busy weekend, parking can fill up really fast. If you leave late at night, you might come back to very few parking spaces available. Every good business starts with good staff and this Fairfield Inn has excellent staff. The check in process was smooth and we were welcomed by a large lobby area with comfy seating, game room and an area with dog beds and toys. The breakfast was truly amazing for a hotel. Fresh yummy scrambled eggs and sausages, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal with all the accoutrements, pastries, juice, coffee and tea. Our studio room was very well equipped had a full kitchen a sofa sectional that could be turned into a bed as well as a king size bed, a sink and make up area separate from the shower/bath and toilet area. This would be an ideal setting for a long stay but we really enjoyed our three nights and four days staying there while visiting our daughter and son-in-law. I highly recommend this hotel read more

One of the most important things to me in choosing a hotel is cleanliness. My husband and I were headed to the Clearwater area on vacation and we noticed this Fairfield Inn was rated 5 stars on Yelp. Well... if you are a business owner you know it is hard to attain 5 stars and maintain them. Of course, we chose this hotel. The 5 stars did not not disappoint. The hotel was super clean and room smelled so clean and fresh. We stayed here for their free breakfast and it was really good with lots of options. The coffee was superb and one of the best coffees I have ever had and I am a huge coffee snob. All of the staff was very nice. We especially liked a server at the breakfast area named Monsie she helped us with our every need. She was amazing. When we are back in the area, we will definitely stay here again. read more

The rooms were clean except for the exhaust fan in bathrooms. The location is great with a bunch of restaurants and retail in the area. Also, the bar was a welcome touch and the bartender was super fun! The only disappointment was the free breakfast which dint really have many options and there was a lackluster amount of fresh fruit! Coffee was subpar at best! Free car charger in the rear of hotel was very welcoming and they also had a water hose in that same area which was awesome as well had plants in the car that we purchased while in Florida! read more

Clean and wide space. I liked there's no carpet in the room. All building kept cleaning constantly. I had a small breakfast in the morning. Coffee, Waffle and chobani yogurt. There's good breakfast places around the hotel, too. Didn't use the pool, but the pool also cleaned. read more

We had a great night in room 211 at this Marriott location which was close to highway 75 but not so close that you'd hear it. We had two queen beds which slept wonderfully. The room had Paul Mitchell soap and shampoo, a small fridge and a nice flat screen TV. The convenience of a continental breakfast included was also a well liked by everyone. We were on route to Atlanta and this was a good half way point from Naples. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

This is a newer hotel and was in the area we planned to stop on our trip south. The front desk clerk was a bit spacey. She asked if we wanted the 5th floor and then said never mind, it is a different room type. She didn't thank me for my loyalty status, she didn't ask about welcome gift (points or food), and she didn't explain breakfast. It was one of the worst checkin experiences in my Marriott stays. Additionally, after we checked in, we went to our room and dropped off luggage. We then headed out to get some dinner. We came back down less than 10 minutes later and my wife asked to have one of our freezer blocks frozen to keep medication cold in our cooler. The young lady was checking in someone else, so we waited off to the side. When finished, she said "I can check you in now." My wife asked to have the block frozen and gave her our room number. She looked at us puzzled and then asked for our last name to verify in the computer we were in our room. She literally saw us less than 10 minutes ago and probably only checked in one other person. One light fixture in the room was broken. Just a bare bulb on a metal piece. We thought it was an odd choice until we saw the other one not broken. We had grapes and meds in the fridge and the grapes froze overnight. Hopefully, the meds will be ok. I also really do not like that just because we are booking a room on points that they put us next to the elevators, especially with my loyalty status. Oh, well. And as an added bonus, we have been getting hotels filled with youth sports teams. This one had several girls softball teams, which made for a long loud night. read more

This is one of my favorite Fairfield Inns I have been to. This hotel seemed newer and everything was extremely organized. The breakfast buffet was served by staff which was a huge plus! I liked that our room had wood floors instead of old carpet. The staff was very friendly and we were able to get checked in very quickly. Being a Gold membership, I was also able to get a free upgrade on my room! Overall very positive experience and a fantastic location. read more

poor customer service. washer takes coin and not credit cards. aware of this after last stay so I brought the coins and dryer locked up with .75. So I go to front desk and they say there is nothing they can do until tomorrow. Not aware my stuff is just out of the dryer. So being the non customer aware they cant pull $1.50 of quarters to solve customer problem with their equipment. Have stayed at this exact location over 8 weeks with my team of 4. Needless to say that $1.50 is going to cost them 2 more weeks with me and my group. Terrible. read more

My niece was pregnant with her first child and her baby shower was held at this hotel. This was the perfect location for the baby shower. The atmosphere of the hotel was inviting and welcoming. The conference room was spacious and comfortable. The restrooms were cleaned to the max and the complimentary water, hot tea and coffee service applied to invitees to the shower as well. read more

I stayed here for my graduation. The hotel is beautiful, inside and out. Extremely clean, well-designed and modernly furnished. Free on-site parking provided (it filled up pretty quick over the weekend). A 24/7 mini gym is on the first floor across from the elevators. You have to use your hotel key to gain access.There are treadmills, ellipticals w/ built in TVs, a stationary bike, free weights, several exercise balls, and mats hanging on the wall. Complementary packaged earbuds are available in a dispenser by the door and sanitary wipes are provided in a large bucket. A lovely continental breakfast is served from 7:00 am-10 or 11:00am (I'm an early riser so I don't know the exact end time). The food is frequently replenished and there's also a self-serve waffle station. The coffee was surprisingly good! There's also a mini market to the left of the main entrance. I didn't have time to experience the outside patio area but I took a photo of it. Looks lovely. Now, for the rooms: The elevator creeks which is slightly disturbing but it's been inspected recently so I'm not *that* worried. As previously state, the rooms are gorgeous and the bathroom is amazing. I do think that the mattresses and pillows are a wee bit to far on the soft side but of course that's a personal opinion. The "hardwood" floors are beautiful except there appears to be little to no insulation so you hear literally *everything* going on overhead, at least we did from the 4th floor. Perhaps we just got the one room with poor insulation. It could happen. The walls were the same. Again, it could have just been extra noisy due to the excitement of graduation weekend. Overall, it's a lovely hotel with awesome staff. For the value, I'd stay here again. Especially if it's only for a few days. read more

Early last October, returning home to Naples, there had been an horrific accident on I-75, the day before, involving two tractor trailers and a church bus, filled with children and the pastor. Traffic was snail paced in only one lane. Fairfield Inn (and God), beckoned us and welcomed us into a place of peace, cleanliness, and comfort. And then, the breakfast in the morning.... a multitude, a veritable plethora of selections, to be enjoyed by all palates. Hotel was perfect for our drive from the midwest to southern Florida. It was very clean and made us feel comfortable despite COVID.
