When traveling to smaller towns I am often worried about what exactly I will encounter in my hotel even when in brand. This Fairfield was a pleasant surprise! It appears newer so no popcorn ceilings or water stains - instead a bright welcoming lobby, clean and large room, was able to do yoga in my room as there was plenty of space! Room was a little loud as it's over the freeway but other than that, this was a pretty stellar choice and I would stay here again! read more

Was moved here from the Fairfield Inn Medical Center location because it lacked internet access and smelled like a wet dog. When I arrived, the staff really did their best to be accommodating. The internet worked, but was 33 times slower than my iPhone hotspot. I don't understand how any Marriott property can offer such poor service to business travelers. It seems the owner of these two properties is just too cheap to pay for decent internet. Luckily, they share a really nice gym with the Four Points, which also offers a decent breakfast. Also, don't forget your noise machine if you have to stay here. You'll be hearing the I-40 all night long. read more

Hotels that are connected. Four points by Sheraton and Fairfield Inn and suites by Marriott. Depending on which you're booked in, you have even you have to go to a singular checkout place and then come back over to your Fairfield hotel. It's very confusing checking system, though once at the desk, it was very pleasant. The rent itself was spacious enough for two adults. The bathroom was roomy and clean. The beds were comfortable, and I liked that they had three different styles of pillow on each bed. had dinner next-door in the Sheraton restaurant and was very disappointed in the prices though I probably shouldn't have been. $16 for an old-fashioned with an extra two dollars if you want a single large cube. Highway robbery. Settled for a $10 glass of wine. very very good chicken conb salad, but you have to pay for it and even if you're booked in that rest in that hotel. At the Fairfield breakfast is free. not free at four points. breakfast at Fairfield was your typical breakfast buffet. Coffee juices, today's fruit cantaloupe and pineapple. Scrambled eggs that were actually cooked well but were tepid, poorly prepared fried potatoes. Glumpy glued together, bacon that wasn't good at all. Pastries, bread, rolls, etc. Meal cereal and waffle making station. It was OK. Would rather go to waffle House! read more

We stayed here during our Route 66 trip. One night in Amarillo. There are many hotels in Amarillo but from what I could see, quality hotels are slim pickings. This seemed to be the best bet of them all. We arrived in the evening. The front bits of the parking lot were jam packed. We drove around to the side and found some spots. The arrangement is a little weird as it is both a Fairfield Inn and another hotel, maybe a Courtyard? Anyway, they are connected on the inside but you need a key to enter. We dragged all of our luggage to the entrance of the hotel in which we were staying, the Fairfield, but there was a sign on the door that said one would have to check in in the other hotel. Thankfully, GF was with me and could wait with the luggage. I would have been very irritated if I had to drag my luggage to the other building just to drag it back. However, the weather was chilly with a drizzle and a lot of wind so overall, the situation wasn't ideal. There is a nice seeming bar area just left when you walk in, which is an amenity that is high up on the priority list for me. I was able to check in immediately and the person was courteous. There was no mention of status and I can't recall if I received the benefits I am entitled to on check in. When we finally did make it to our room, the thing was gigantic. We were on the first floor which is very unusual as Marriott has my preferences in as a higher floor. It was annoying to not be able to have our shade up or else everyone walking around would be staring at us in our room. The bathroom was also very large and the shower was wonderful. They gave us a gazillion towels which is very rare. This was very much appreciated. There were no outlets on one side of the bed which is ridiculous in 2024. There were outlets on the other side but they didn't work. The TV, like the room and bathroom, was gigantic. There was no physical lock on the door, just the electronic lock which could presumably easily be opened by a staff member. There were a lot of good things and a few bad things. I would stay here again in a pinch but I would also have some reservations. If you are looking for something clean and comfortable, look no further. read more

Robert (who was on nights) was courteous, kind and extremely helpful for our spontaneous stay at the Fairfield ! We had been on the road for 10 hours and needed a clean place to sleep, but wasn't expecting the level of kindness and professionalism . He seems to run the hotel in tip top shape and the company should take note of his diligence ! I would 100% stay again because of him and the breakfast in the morning also added to the positive experience :) read more

Why 5 stars? Friendly staff, excellent cleanliness and great food recommendations around town. On our annual road trip out west Armarillo is kinda one of those between worlds types of cities where you're almost done driving through Texas or just starting your journey. Either way it's been a long day and you really want the comfort of a good bed and rest before you continue on. This is where FFI steps in and it's sister hotel that is connected to it Four Points. This place looks new inside and out, has an awesome gym and just is a fantastic place to stop for a night...or a week? We were greeted in the lobby by the fantastic staff that obviously was above bar Marriott standards. So much so our names were on the welcome board for the day. Nice touch! Then the macadamia nut cookies are staring me in the face, and I just had to have one... Or two or three ha ha. I was quickly checked in, and I went up to my room, and to my surprise it was almost hospital level clean upon entering the door. Really a great experience overall. After dinner after getting a good recommendation from the staff of a local Mexican place, I spent an hour walking around and ended up finding myself into the hotel gym. The hotel gym arrivals most commercial gyms and have plenty of space for exercise and decent amount of weights and also a few treadmill and other cardio equipment. After my workout, I layes down on the bed to write this review because I couldn't help but notice there had been no reviews of this property yet! At it's sister property next-door, which you can access through both hotels or the courtyard or the gym. there is a very nice looking bar and restaurant towards the front and their lobby. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay and if I am in Armarillo again, which I most likely will be I'll have to check this place another time. I booked using a CLC app. The rate was $89 a night. When I got to the hotel, they could not process the CLC card and asked for a different card. They indicated they could not give me the same rate and instead charged me over over $200 per room. The next day they charged my CLC card $89 for not showing up. I went back to the hotel in the evening. They told me there was nothing they could do because the card was declined. Therefore, they have to charge me a no-show even though I did stay at a higher rate. I told them it was obvious that it was their mistake since the card went through afterwards. They refused to budge and did not credit me for either the no-show charge nor for the higher rate I paid to stay. The desk clerk was unwilling to try and assist, and instead fell back on, "there's nothing I can do." He felt it was right to charge me for my the higher rate and then charge me a second time because the credit card declined at the time of check-in. What a crappy ran operation. read more

Well lit parking lot, seemed like a nice safe place. But our stuff was stolen, luggage rack on top of the car. They literally broke it getting it off. Manager couldn't be bothered to come in so police could review cameras. Front desk no help either. A little kindness would have gone a long way in this situation. read more
