Only if I had given them 3 days notice I could have been refunded. Like I really could have known 3 days in advance my mom would pass away?! Really??? Very cold hearted person the manager is. I know it was in her control as to me getting refunded. She knew I had contacted IHG through the app! I have been a long time customer of IHG and it's heartbreaking that someone (the manager) can be so greedy and take money away from the customer for a company that would have been fine without it! Unreal!! I would also like to add that not only did this hotel keep my money but IHG did not give me points for said money because I was, what they call, a no show even though I DID contact the company through the IHG app on that morning about my situation! There were 2 tour buses when we arrived and it looked like we just missed the crowd at check-in. The front desk folks were an epitome of Texas hospitality. Friendly, laid back and the ladies just made us feel so welcome. We were given 3 drink coupons each for kickback hour. Our 2 queen room on the 2nd floor didn't have much of a view but it was homey and quiet. Kickback hour was busy but staff were surprisingly very accommodating. Their margaritas will give you a buzz. They have hot food items, soup and a salad for the complimentary light dinner. For those that have not stayed at a Drury Inn before, the kickback hour is similar to Embassy Suites' evening reception, but WAY better. We slept surprisingly well, considering the hotel's proximity to the highway. We had no problems with the ac either. Breakfast was better than your typical hotel breakfast with a bunch of options. We did not get to use the other facilities because we had to head out early. This was our first time staying at a Drury property. I'm normally a Hilton and Marriott girl but I'll definitely choose Drury if there is one available in my future destinations. We also appreciate the military discount they offer. For a seven year old hotel, the place shows remarkably well. Common areas are nice. I never had breakfast but each morning many others were. The bar was a great touch and well attended and stocked. Cheryl was great behind the bar. Front desk was good as well. Friendly and always smiling. Christian was excellent. My room was large, clean and comfortable. The partitioned workspace/living area was nice. Shower had good pressure and temperature. Finally, there are 6-7 restaurants in the parking lot or adjacent and safe to walk to. I'll stay here again. Don't hesitate.

Honestly, we went in and out a lot and not once did we see her smile in the 2 days of staying there. It would probably be in your best interest for your hotel by getting rid of her. I didn't catch her name because she didn't have a badge on. She was working the desk on Monday the 23rd of March at 4:00 in the afternoon. Got a room near the lobby, so we didn't have to walk very far. Upon entering, I noticed a slight musty smell, and the carpeting was dirty in some spots. Other than that, the room looked fine. I called the front desk and asked them to send a can of deodorizer to the room. A can was delivered within 5 minutes. I liberally sprayed the room with the deodorizer, and it helped a lot, so much that we couldn't smell that musty odor anymore. Extended Stay has a kitchenette stocked with pots, pans, silverware, etc., so that someone could temporarily set up a homestead and be able to cook "at home." Since we were going to continue our road trip to Los Angeles, we didn't have the need for the fully stocked kitchenette. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean and fully stocked, and the shower water pressure was perfect. The air conditioner worked well and it wasn't the source of the musty odor. If all you're going to do is sleep here overnight, I would recommend staying at Extended Stay America. It's OK.

I went to ask about the water and they said they anticipate a big mess for their maids (haha). They offered us to go to the hotel next door at 2am but we were told the water would be back on by 10 pm. The hotel behind us also has no water. It's 5 am and I am not about to pack my stuff up and go next door just to shower. We need to sleep. We expected a clean shower. There are tiny cockroaches in the bathroom. I hate to think what could be in our bed.
