And nice location to 5 min from Publix 5 min from St Augustine Mall and 2 min from I-95 and right next to SR-16 East that goes into St. Augustine if you want to go and see it. read more

I first have to race about the general manager Tracy, and two front desk personnel, Gwenne, and Azaleah who made our stay absolutely the most cheerful and comfortable! I didn't catch her name but the woman who does breakfast but she was wonderful as well. So patient with my kids and I while we ate. They are the most genuine, accommodating employees at any Marriott I've ever stayed. It's not just their job, they love people and value the business of those who stay with them. There's nothing better than a clean room with a comfortable bed when traveling. We have recently relied on the Fairfield brand under Marriott for our stays. Staying in St. Augustine we could have chosen to stay in the historic district or at a bed and breakfast place, but after having lived near the city we decided not to deal with the traffic and high volume of people so we chose this location. Checking in was easy, location quiet and we were able to get to a comfortable room. After a great night's sleep we headed down to breakfast - fresh cinnamon muffins, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage in hot plates. There was also some oatmeal with various toppings, and if you wanted a fresh waffle it could be made right there. We saw a youngster enjoying his morning cereal and milk, and we chatted with another couple who were also traveling home. Consistent good food with a good room is the Fairfield brand, and this location doesn't disappoint. The only improvement would be more lighting on the building. read more

Decent hotel in St. Augustine area! Very clean room (had one with 1 king bed), had room cleaning once during our 3 night stay and they did a nice job. Everything worked fine. Cable package is more than basic. Parking - always found a spot coming and going. Very quiet, no noise issue during our stay and that is a major plus! Fridge, coffee maker and microwave in the room! Front desk - very nice people, we even asked for pizza advice one night! Breakfast - above average! Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, you can make your own waffles, scones, boiled eggs, toast maker with bagels, bread, english muffins, jellies, cereals, yogurt, bananas, oranges, good coffee, orange juice, tried the apple one, not that good. But everything is decent, they replenish it all the time. The seating area and breakfast area can get crowded, took the food up to our rooms a few times. They have a fridge near the front desk with water, soft drinks, beers, etc. That came in handy since I didn't have time to do errands during this visit and the driking water in Florida has a funny taste, you need bottled water. Certainly not a resort by any means. It's basically just a spot to hang our hat while doing a week's R&R in St Augustine. It's kinda out of the way yet not hard to find. It's along the entrance to one of the outlet malls off I-95 at SR 16 on the way into Old St Augustine. JJ was the desk clerk who greeted us at 3pm check in. Friendly sort who went the extra step or two to let us know to ask for anything if we needed it. I opted to receive no housekeeping for our week. It DOES however, receive housekeeping after our third full day, so Wednesday...housekeeping. Towels, etc ate for one's asking anytime. This thing is a mini suite, which means a bit bigger than a standard hotel room but not quite an efficiency either. We're in the third floor of a three story hotel, overlooking the nominal swimming pool. 3' deep at one end and 5' deep at the other. Hot tub/jacuzzi on the fritz too. Yawn... Two TV sets and a somewhat worn out mattress. One window AC unit controlled by a wall thermostat with a kind of its own. Living area was a bit warm while the sleep area was like an icebox. Only thing left to review is the free breakfast... Breakfast is two chafing dishes. One has eggs and the other contains breakfast meat. For instance there was pork sausage and turkey sausage in the latter on Monday, while the former had "cage free scrambled eggs." Eh...also a waffle station, muffins, bagels, a nominal amount of fresh fruit, etc. Nothing much to write home about, and I can say the same is true for this hotel as a whole too. Eh! read more

When we got to our room and t was partially open. The door didn't close all the way, it was also difficult to bolt it at night. The room was adequate 2 queen beds, desk area, 4 drawer dresser and mini refrigerator along with a microwave. The breakfast was good mini and full size waffles, eggs, turkey sausage, bacon and bagels. Cereal and oatmeal was available. Fresh fruit and your choice of coffee, tea or juice. Fruit infused water as well. Plenty of seating inside and some outdoor seating by the pool. Wi-Fi available for free, if you want it secure you can pay extra. This Fairfield Inn is TIRED!!! The rooms are way dated, closet doors will not close, windows corroded, AC will not function with Thermostat on the wall. The thermostat is actually disconnected. We enjoyed our stay at this Fairfield Inn. It was just a quick weekend trip, and this hotel was right near I-95...easy on, easy off! The room was large and well-appointed. I thought the beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. The morning breakfast was what you'd expect, but the service was just incredible. An older hotel but nice. The employees are nice and that means a lot! It was clean. The rooms were adequate, air was good, no smells, water pressure and temperature was great, bed was comfortable, the elevator was not slow. The lobby area is really pretty and bright. The WiFi was down but being fixed and worked well my last 24 hrs. Breakfast was always super neat and full. Someone was always able to answer the phone when I called for anything. They had a nice sitting area with a TV. Lots of pamphlets for the nearby attractions. They were super close to the interstate but easy to get in and out of because the fabulous outlet mall is right there! If I was staying on a budget or needed a place to stay for the night, I would stay here again. Now I don't star properties like most people because I have been part of the industry for years but under Forbes five-star five diamond.. so you have to be a fancy hotel to get five stars, a four star hotel for four so this three is really good to be such a cheap hotel. read more

Meh. Nah. For some reason. Fairfield made it really hard to just pull into the parking lot. A little thing, but that kinda set the tone for our entire 24-hour stay. Lobby is very spartan. Fortunately our check-in was seamless. But the single elevator took forever every single time we had to use it. Why? Technology for elevators has advanced pretty far: simply hit the button, doors open, get on, punch your floor, doors close, you arrive. But not here. Delays of 3-4-5 min seemed like forever, especially when the sole elevator was always empty when it arrived. Frustrating - Fairfield needs to fix the dang thing. Hate to see what would happen in an emergency. Our bed was soft and soggy. The bedside tables were incredibly small - both were useless. The pillows were minuscule. The carpet had a weird, almost brittle wire-like feel underfoot. The bathroom faucet dripped constantly and the hand-set was loose - it felt like it was going to fall out of the sink. The shower water pressure was non-existent. The tv had a 10-12" gash in the middle of the screen. We wondered how long ago that damage occurred. The remote control was needlessly complicated. The soft-touch controls were not haptic and every push took multiple attempts to function. This remote was the epitome of over-engineering something that should be so simple. The AC control on the wall was impossible to read - the tiny LED screen contrast was virtually white with no characters or #'s visible. All in all, this place sorely needs a renovation. Wonder how old it is to be in such decrepit condition? The only positive we saw was the clean grounds. Guess putting lipstick on a pig to hide the warts must be working as the parking lot looked fairly full. Nope. Next time, we'll skip Fairfield and go next door to the LaQuinta or across the street to the Courtyard. read more

Very clean rooms. The Wi-Fi was not available and the parking lot was terrible. You are either one of the few which get to park near the building of you were stuck in the general parking area, similar to a mall. Skipped breakfast and ate at McDonald's instead. I am so upset that as tired as I was I am livid enough to stay up and write this review after a long road trip on my way home. We booked a king room via Expedia which did not translate with the hotel who tells us they have none and that they cannot (Nick specifically) change the reservation. All he could do was give us queen doubles. He was absolutely rude, no professionalism, and solely told us what he cannot do. I even suggested forgetting the reservation and pretend we just came off of the street ro get a room, but he says what he can't do. We accept what he gives us which turns out to be an accessible room with a chair in the middle of the tub in which I feel is absolutely intentional. 5/20/2023. We were in town for the Gentlemen of the Road festival and amidst the literal town-takeover, you all kept your cool. were super duper friendly, and offered up a nicely appointed hotel room with all the amenities that we could ask for in an affordable price range. You can clearly tell that this is a newer property and that it is very well taken care of. TIP: There is a small business center located across from the lobby that is a nice spot to print out any agendas, send emails, or hop online. TIP2: This location is also right down the street from an upscale outlet mall that included Kate Spade, Gucci, and Saks. read more

I wish I could read this hotel, higher, but irate customer service very high, and this hotel did not deliver. I am a travel nurse working at a local hospital and staying here for part of my contract. The location of the hotel is really good. It is in a quiet street close to everything. The hotel is OK, it is very clean, and it offers free breakfast with just enough choices. No issue here so far. My issue with this hotel begins at check-in. This hotel is part of Marriott and from my traveling, I have one of the highest status of membership. When I arrived to the counter to check in for my reservation, John, the hotel staff was standing behind the counter, and did not greet me upon entering, I had to be the one that said hello loudly to be noticed. Once I told him I was checking in he proceeded to give me the room number, and he was very rushed and seem bothered. I have not run into Johnson's check in however, this morning as I walked into the hotel from working the whole night, he looked up from whatever he was looking at, and he didn't even read me again. To be working front desk at a hotel and not even greet the guests is very bad, it is also unsafe. As I mentioned before, I wish I could rate this hotel higher because it is nice, and clean, which is very important to me. Unfortunately, the customer service I have received thus far, especially from John at the front desk, warrants a 2 star review. read more

Worst experience in customer service ever! After they over booked, even though I had a paid confirmation, sent me to another hotel for 1 night of the 2 I booked. No choice on the matter. Even when I ask to speak to the manager, his attitude was -too bad, sucks to be you. So after traveling for 11 hours, I find out I have to back in my car and drive back the way I already came to go to another hotel. The manager was arrogant and condescending. The new hotel was very gracious and welcoming and tried to do everything to make me comfortable. I was so angry, I cancelled the second night and stayed at the new hotel. This place is pretty good !! The location is excellent it is right off the highway, and located in the same complex as the st Augustine outlets. The lobby is very tidy,and well kept. There is a small pool and a lounge area where you can chat or watch the game on the flat screen. The rooms are clean ,neat and decorated in an acceptable fashion, not really high end but for the price I can't complain. One big disappointment is you can hear EVERYTHING in the adjoining rooms, and hallway . The walls are paper thin, no real acoustic privacy no matter what activity you are doing in your room. A nice plus is the complimentary full breakfast that is served.... a good perk . I would stay here again just don't be too loud if you are pillow talking in your room because the privacy is nonexistent. read more

The staff was very welcoming all the time.The location is conveniently right off of 95 and its only a bout a 10 minute drive to the downtown touristy scene. The complimentary breakfast was fine for what it was. LOVED the king suite. Memory foam mattress was so awesome, my husband and I totally want to buy one now! Also, the suite was split into two separate areas with a half wall. Area one was an office desk and sofa bed and chair with a TV, and microwave/fridge. While the bedroom area had the bed, small closet, and another TV. The hotel was brand new and decorated in a modern style with shades of green and orange. The pool and gym looked nice, and made me wish I'd actually packed a bathing suit. And the free breakfast was fabulous. Breakfast area as well stocked with a waffle maker, sausage gravy, assorted breads (including bagels and muffins), Jimmy Dean prepackaged breakfast sandwiches, cereal, oatmeal, grits, and toppings for oatmeal (nuts and dried fruit), fresh fruit (apples bananas), light yogurt, regular yogurt, milk, juice, and fruit salad! GEEZ! Also, the Wifi is free, and actually quite fast! It's in a convenient location, about 15 min to Old Town but the road to there doesn't have much traffic. It is also on one of the train stops so that will make it easier when exploring the city. The rooms roomy although the layout a little strange (furniture put in places where it cuts into usable space). There's a pool on site and they also provide free breakfast in the morning. The staff is wonderful and efficient. Breakfast staff made sure the dining room was stocked at all times and tended to people who needed extra attention. My baby also had a little accident at night where the sheets required changing. I mentioned it to Traci on my way to breakfast and by the time we got back it was already done and she left us a nice note. The internet is a little slow so my husband had to purchase an upgrade so he can work but other than that this place is pretty good. read more

This is our go to place when we stay in Saint Augustine. It's close enough to the downtown area to be convenient, but far enough away where you don't have to pay exorbitant hotel prices. We have stayed here for the last five or so years and have never been disappointed. The staff is always cheerful and friendly. There's always some fresh lime water, or lemon water and fresh cookies in the afternoon. They serve a full hot breakfast with the most delicious waffles You make fresh each morning. We usually spend two nights there during January for the March for life. I've stayed at other hotels but is the breakfast at this one the really gets me to come back over and over again. Nice hotel, brand new, nice clean rooms AC works a little too well, bathrooms are big and nice. One bad thing, not all the rooms have an in-room safe. I did not care to leave my things at the safe by check in desk. It has an small pool and offers free wifi and breakfast with your stay, wifi works very well and it is fast. The breakfast buffet is really good, it offers warm and cold items, but the dining area is too small for the amount of people that goes to eat there. It was just okay. The staff was nice but the room wasn't very clean. I walked to the bathroom and back in my socks and they were dirty. We stayed on the second floor and the carpet exiting the elevator was disgusting! We requested extra blankets and a maintenance man brought them to us, that was awkward. The website is misleading and we did not have a fridge or microwave in our room, the coffee maker was dirty and sat on the only dresser in the room which was next to the tv. The TV remote letters were worn off some of the buttons. I didn't like the A/C controls because we could not keep the fan on, it was locked to "auto" so we heard the unit compressor click on and off all night. The breakfast was nice. Saw the staff in the kitchen and no one had on gloves or a hair net but I am not sure what the local codes are for food prep. The internet was useless :( read more

The missing star is the WiFi, it's horrible. I can't stay connected or do anything beyond play solitaire because nothing more complex will load. They advertise free WiFi but when you log in you'll choose between the free/useless speed and $6.95/day for what you really need. Other than that it's a great place.
