We splurged for the sweet, its not worth it. The TV is in an awkward position, the room was small for the two of us. There's a pull out couch, and extra sheets and pillows. NO HOT TUB and it DOES NOT include breakfast, on the weekends you can purchase at breakfast for 14 per person. Every other day the maid will clean your room, maybe. Whoever ours was, used the toilet and didn't flush causing the smell to linger. They took the trash out and left some coffee cups. The lobby area is nice with a mini Starbucks and a small Bar and a big TV room. Outside you'll find the pool and an awkward square 1 hole putting mate, where the hot tub used to be. We probably wouldn't choose this next time we go outta town. The price compared to other chains really isn't worth it. read more

Very nice property - clean, modern, very friendly staff. Easy access right off of I-95 which is why we stayed here on our way to southern Florida. Breakfast is not included but there is a bistro in the lobby where you can order basic items. This bistro also has a bar that stays open until 10pm and it was nice to come in from dinner and get a drink to take up to the room. One thing to note - this hotel is next door to a hospital and my window overlooked the ER entrance. I was worried that I would hear sirens all night but I didn't remember any other reviews having an issue and neither did I. And if you are staying here on your way to another location, you will be glad you stayed on THIS side of Jacksonville so when you're leaving in the morning, the majority of rush hour traffic is behind you! read more

This particular Courtyard by Marriot is pretty convenient as it is just off of Interstate 95. They have ample parking and a nice bar/bistro in the lobby, which made it convenient as there were not a lot of dining options on this side of Interstate 95. The only thing within walking distance was an Applebee's. The room was nice and the staff both upon check-in and check-out were extremely friendly, professional and attentive. Other perks at this hotel include a fitness center and a pool. All in all, I would definitely recommend this Courtyard by Marriot if you find yourself in this part of the world and need a place to hang your head. read more

I'm reviewing this from the perspective of a German Shepherd owner. Max came with me on this trip because this location is VERY dog friendly! If you're bringing your dog, you will want to stay here. Decent area to walk your dog, other dog owners staying here, decent staircase if you want to avoid awkward elevator convos about your dog, you know what I mean right? Not here. I felt comfortable leaving Max for awhile to grab some breakfast. Anyhow I will definitely back so don't take all the rooms fellow dog owners lol! 5/5 all the way. I stayed here on a business trip for my job. Since they did all the arrangements, I'm unable to talk about the reservation process. Once there, however there apparently was an issue where the card where the reservation was made had to be present for me to be able to check in... though the hotel staff was more than kind and efficiently solved all through a call to my manager. The room was very nicely decorated with sculptures and paintings, everything was clean and comfortable, with a microwave, a mini fridge and a desk to work in. Service was also courteous and amicable. The included breakfast was a full warm breakfast. Not the best in history, but pretty good all the same. My only complaint is that the coffee was terrible, but that's a minor nitpick. read more

Covid has hit the staffing for this place, it's an old hotel, needs to be upgraded / updated. Poor guy working alone on a Friday night with a line 10 families thick! Thank goodness for Marriott online check-in. The rooms are some of the smallest I have ever stayed in. The king bed takes up the entire room. We had 3 people, one on pull out twin, mini twin couch, BUT the hotel was out of pillows, pillow cases and blankets. So we made do with 2 sheets. The TV is poorly positioned, the room was musty and was smoked in at some point. Once that smoke is there, can't get rid of it. Asked to change rooms, to no avail. Offered to pay extra for a suite. None available. Manager was nice and comped 1 day. Bar is closed. Breakfast, they tried. It's unfortunate I'm not a fan of sausage. read more

WARNING STAY AWAY FROM HERE! The old disrespectful man who works over night is the worst employee of any customer service business. Do not ever stay here. He cancelled our room after we had already called 6 hours prior to arrival. He did it because he said someone was waiting. I paid for the room and drove from over 6 hours away. He then proceeded to yell at my wife which I will not allow. He is rude and yelled and locked the door so we could even discuss anything. Refused to apologize even though he is the problem and caused the issues. Terrible experience and I will never stay here in the future. I would recommend you never stay here, unless you like to be disrespected by someone who claims to be in charge. To top it off Marriott corporate says they have to investigate before they can make anything right. So we asked how long that would be and they said at least 5 days. This is crazy from a company of this size. But this location has the worst employee of any business in hospitality. read more

This Marriott was good. Not excellent and not bad. The room was clean and the desk staff very friendly and helpful. Everything we needed or asked for in a hotel for the night went off without a hitch. The location is farther from downtown Jacksonville than I thought but still served its purpose. There is no complimentary breakfast here, it's a buffet and costs $9.95. We didn't eat it so I can't respond to the quality of food. There is a Starbucks close by and for a late night snack and beer an Applebee's. The Applebee's has a large selection of draft beer. To sum it up, I can't complain about anything, we were satisfied. read more

The staff is kind. The location in Jacksonville is convenient. The rooms were a good size, beautifully decorated and beds were comfortable. I loved the seating area. That is about all I enjoyed. I booked a room with breakfast but was denied at my check in and there was a difference in rate. There was hair all over the bathroom and there was no bathroom fan so condensation lingered. The entrance/exit is inconvenient and traffic is very busy only in the right lane in the mornings making it difficult to leave. Plan extra time to get to your destination. The internet was poor and disconnected regularly. I anticipated shared noise but it was more than that on both sides. I travel for work and this is one of the poorer experiences I've had. DO NOT GET ROOM 114. DO NOT!!! Day 4. Finally my last day here. Room 114's bathroom still smells like mold, mildew, and feces. I was booked a king suite, ended up in an accessible room (which is not problem) that literally smells like mold and sh!t. Went to the front desk before work, asked bathroom to be serviced because of smell, came back from work, nothing. I ONLY HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MARRIOTT, NEVER any other hotel brand while I'm traveling. I travel full time for work and only have problems with them. Not to mention that because I'm in an accessible room with bathroom, I'm always walking on a wet floor when I have to go to the restroom. There is not a divider. There is not an exhaust fan so moisture lives on the bathroom... Use the restroom in the lobby by the pool. You're better off washing up with a brillo pad and taking a chance of any and everyone walking in on you butt-naked. Aggravating. Horrible. Nasty. Tired of the Marriott Brand. I did contact my job and told them about my experience, this hotel has been removed from our portfolio. read more

While driving down to florida we took a long needed rest stop At this hotel I am giving it 5 stars because the women at the front desk was so helpful during our reservation process We are a party of four Room 324 Only 3 floors i the hotel- King size bed and pull out couch which is not ok for 2 adult kids My kids are smaller so no problem there Very comfy king size bed Clean And comfy This location has a Starbucks which was awesome Now the breakfast ( not included in the price ) Was outstanding! Very conveniently located of I95 and not far from shops and restaurants (even walking distance). The front desk worker who checked us in in the evening was very nice and so were both the evening and morning Bistro workers. The lobby is expansive and the pool area large and very attractive. Meh. Compared to other Courtyards this one is pretty good. Compared to other hotels it's only OK. It's only about 5 months old at this point, so everything is new like the LG LCD TVs and walk-in showers. The TV has waaaay too many channels for a hotel. Somewhere around 100 analog stations and 150 digital ones. This is just too many channels to navigate in a place that I'm unfamiliar with...never thought I'd say that. Also, the shower door leaks, so when you step out there's water all over the floor. The bed is pretty firm, and is one of those NASA-style beds without springs so YMMV. The staff is friendly enough. Nothing special here. It is an older property that they have renovated so it still shows its age regardless. Housekeeping was a real problem for us. Not enough towels (only 2 in a suite that sleeps 6). We had 2 suites- same problem in both - including only 2 glasses, 2 cups, etc. Customer service lacking as well. I had asked to pay cash for my stay and regardless they charged my credit card. Doors propped open with a towel and a light fixture on the stairwell. These are easy fixes if they were paying attention.look for a newer property. read more

A few pain points about this place: 1. No room service or mini-bar. The location doesn't have much in terms of food deliveries. 2. Very limited hours for lobby food service. 3. Staff is multi-hatting. They run in between the front desk, bar, and kitchen. It's common for there to be no one at the front desk and the phone just keeps ringing and ringing. 4. I have stayed here many times, but the overall condition has significantly deteriorated recently. I stayed in a room where the couch was coming apart and obviously should have been replaced months ago. Carpeting in the halls was badly stained and in need of cleaning. I self quarantined here for 2 weeks after coming from a another state. Everyone was very friendly. The hotel is very stylish and comfortable. We couldn't go in the pool but it was very comfortable with piped in music to sit in the sun. Laundry rates are less than the prior hotel (same family). There is a nice loop around a business park for running. Food and shopping is minutes away. Convenient location to I-95 and I-295. I have already returned and plan to do so again. read more

Here are my PROS and CONS list... it will make it easier for me to do my review: PROS: - FREE WIFI... Big Plus! - Spacious Rooms - Microwave and Refrigerator. - COLD A/C! - Good coffee in the lobby 24/7 CONS: - CRAPPIEST towels I have ever used! I have rags for my car that are more "plush". The towels and wash clothes are really threadbare! - The TV is outdated, and the picture quality for 90% of the channels is almost unwatchable. I would easily stay here again.... but if they fix a few things, the experience would be so much better! I ate breakfast here this morning, and it was a little pricey, but it is a hotel. This hotel was a great find! We were very pleased with our stay here. It is a fairly new hotel, everything was clean and modernized. The lobby was adorable and the rooms had adequate space. I was pleasantly surprised about the water pressure in the shower. Typically, it's HORRIBLE, BUT NOT HERE!!!! It was rather wonderful! The bed was comfortable! The staff at the front desk was very friendly, rates are really reasonable, and there is also plenty of parking in the lot! This hotel is about a 30 minute drive to downtown St. Augustine - so if you are looking to travel to St. Augustine but don't want to pay the high prices, this is a great option. My main gripe with our room was that there was no mirror outside the bathroom. I've never stayed in a hotel that didn't have an additional mirror in the room. When people travel, it's usually not alone. Frequently a mirror may be needed while another individual is using the bathroom. I took a star off for that, because it was a pretty big pain for us in our room since it was my friend and I and we both needed room to get ready, etc. read more

I had a reservation for the night of rhe 27th. After confirming my reservation online and called front desk my reservation was not honored for the price I booked it at. After informing me they would not honor my room I had confirmed and booked they told me they could give me a room for almost three times the price . The front desk attendant was uninviting the second we walked in. Your front desk attendant and GM made zero attempt to fix the situation. If anything their lack of customer service made the situation worse. I ended up going a mile up the road and was greeted with a smile a the customer service that is expected in your industry. I make quite a few trips to Jacksonville during the year, I will not be giving my business to your hotel. After seeing how we were treated by the staff I don't expect anything to be remedied but your organization should know what's going on. read more

This hotel was very nice. It was clean,the staff was friendly, the room was laid out nicely. We used the pullout sofa bed for a fifth person and it was actually pretty comfortable. Of course it was small like a typical sofa bed. The air-conditioning system worked well. It was also quieter than average. Our only issue was with the breakfast. We paid for the breakfast and we did get the breakfast but it was pretty lame. It was just scrambled eggs, old hash browns that weren't very good. They had bacon and sausage there was cereal, danish, milk and yogurt. It sounds like a lot when I list it out but believe me it wasn't much. There was also oatmeal that was in a container so dirty I didn't trust it and wouldn't offer it to my kids. Except for the food, the hotel itself was very nice and I do recommend it. This place was also very easy to get to , being at the crossroad of two highways. It is also very close to a hospital but not close enough that sound was a problem. read more
