The hotel is brand new and in a great location. The staff is friendly and the complimentary breakfast exceeds expectations with a much better variety than similar places, including fresh fruit. This hotel would be a solid 5 stars if it weren't for a major downside. All rooms have fixed windows that do not open! They're not partially or fully locked but rather designed as fixed windows. This is a major issue as the rooms and the hotel get absolutely no fresh air! The VOC levels in the rooms are insane and unhealthy. I would not recommend staying here unless you bring a portable air purifier. read more

I stayed for one night while in the area. Everything was wonderful! It was nice that they offered a small array of items for breakfast. Room was spacious. Plenty of parking available. Cheaper than staying in Providence which is why I chose this location. It is close to a school so just watch your speed driving nearby! read more

This was probably the best Fairfield Inn we have ever stayed in. Very clean and quiet. Very nice people. Quite a good breakfast. The only complaint I have was the toilet just was not working properly. Probably just needed plunging, but still an annoyance. I did not report it until the end of our stay unfortunately. My mistake. We enjoyed our summer stay at this property. It was new, quiet and less expensive than staying in Newport. They have an outdoor fire pit which was nice. We also enjoyed breakfast outdoors though the parking lot view left much to be desired. The hotel is a bit of a drive to Newport if that's your main focus but we liked the quiet nature of it even though there wasn't much nearby. It was an easy on and off the highway to access the property. Reliable breakfast and service we have come to enjoy from Marriott properties. Definitely would recommend. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service at the front desk. Would recommend you drive to the next Marriot 30 minutes out of town instead or pick any other hotel chain in the area. Not worth the hassle. I booked a room here under points as a titanium elite Bonvoy member. The person working the front desk, Blake, told me my card wasn't working for incidentals, so we used another. My card was charged twice ($80 two times for an incidentals charge that was stated to be $20) and my friend's card was also charged $20. After inquiring about the wrongful charges to my card, I was brushed off and told that the money would be placed back in my account "in two hours". It's been 4 days, and no one on their customer service team has provided any help. I've even contacted my bank and have been informed that the charges haven't even been posted on their end. Their service team is more than rude. Save your money and time and go anywhere else. read more

The rooms were spacious! The lounge was beautiful. I loved the built in room closet. The tv was huge and it was awesome you could connect your Bluetooth right to it! They also offered Pandora and Netflix right on the tv's. The bathroom was also roomy and clean. The linens were crisp and fresh and the beds were comfortable! The indoor pool and gym with peloton equipment made daily gym sessions much better!! Fridge, coffee maker & microwave in room- thank god! Initially it took our room a few hours to get cold but once it was cooled off it stayed cool. The breakfast that's included with the stay- was a little sad. Fresh fruit, yogurt, apple sauce, bananas, cinnamon buns, muffins & cold cereal "due to Covid" is a bit of a sorry excuse- as they said it was normally eggs and bacon, etc. I get it- Covid is here and it's deadly but as guests we still need to eat & this just didn't cut it. Was going to take away a star for this but I guess better safe then sorry. Overall this is a pretty new hotel but they aren't operating at their full potential yet. They have a beautiful outdoor courtyard and what appeared to be a covered up fire pit. A few weeks ago I stayed at a hotel in Newport with a similar set up and they had the fire pits lit at night- it would have been nice to hang by the fire at night! However we get it- Covid. They should at least open the fire pit and enforce social distancing- or something. Overall we were impressed but they should be taking advantage of the space they have! Hotel is fairly nice but unless you are just getting out of prison, the room is rather sparse. There is a bed and a desk/ table and ONE desk chair. That is it. One chair and it is quite uncomfortable. No upholstered chair. I wonder what it's like with 2 people in the room...take turns sitting in the one chair? I will be changing hotels tomorrow. read more

We arrived back in Providence and called for the shuttle at 4:05 and were told they would be right over. At 4:35 no one had arrived so I called back. The operator picked up and said please hold and put me on hold before I could say a word. I was on hold for another 10 minutes , hung up and called back. The same result, she put me on hold before I could say anything and never picked up. At 4:55 I called back again and before she said a word I screamed do not hang up. She said she would call the driver again. When the driver came ( now a full hour from my original call) he said that he only received the call a few minutes ago and had been waiting with nothing to do, He said he had problems with this operator previously. Management you should fire this lady. One hour wait is totally unacceptable. When I got home I noticed my car had been damaged while parked in your lot. read more

A new hotel in the area. However, looks like they don't really clean the rooms and change sheets. Noticed multiple hair on the sheets, towels and sink just enter the rooms. Called the front desk. A lady said all rooms are booked, and cannot change to other rooms. No cleaner can change the bedding. Can only provide the sheets, and guests change sheets and clean room by ourselves. No manager on duty today, and she is the only person. Then, she said she is going to take care other guests. I double confirmed with her that she is the only person working in This fully booked hotel in the evening. The lady at the front desk is asking me to take pictures on the hair we found. Avoid this place; Way overpriced for what they offer (very little). Staff is pleasant but clueless; tv system went out-not only were they unaware of it but then did nothing to fix it. Not walkable to anything else (like restaurants) and very hard to get local places to deliver. Prices should be half of what they are. read more

I stay in marriott hotels 300 days a year and this has been one of my best experiences. I came here on a points stay and the service I received was impeccable. Cassidy checked me in and she went above and beyond. Rooms are so clean and seemingly brand new. Loved the added touch of a makeup removing wipe in the bathroom. Towels and sheets are beyond soft. Everyone I encountered was kind and everything was clean. Free breakfast was a plus. Love that for coffee in the room you had both a to go cup and a real mug. A real mug is usually hard to come by and it was a nice touch. Also love that there is a microwave- very rare and a nice touch for long stay guests. Also a nice array of items in their "to go" food pantry (food for purchase). Will definitely be back when in the area. read more

My friends and I stayed here because our Airbnb (Narragansett Waterfront Retreat on private beach by B. Teresa- don't stay there!!!) had a mouse in it! That was irritating, but thank goodness this hotel was relatively nearby and we got a relatively good rate for a suite. There were three of us and I'm definitely glad we got the suite. The suite was two queen beds and then an extension of the room with a couch and additional TV and a chair and desk. The hotel was very clean, the bathroom was nice and well laid out. The linens were comfortable as what were the beds and pillows, no problems at all. Since we hadn't prepared to have a pool, we actually went out to get a bathing suit and swam in the pool, I wish the pool was hotter and we wished they had a hot tub. They did have a large fire pit outside which was really cool, they turn that firepit off at 11pm when the pool closes. The staff were nice and friendly. The breakfast was also great which included hard boiled eggs, cooked eggs, sausage or bacon, homemade waffles station, yogurt, fruit, cereal, oatmeal with lots of toppings. The tea and coffee was available all day! I would definitely recommend this hotel. It's not right on the ocean, but it's definitely a nice area. The view from our hotel room was nice, pretty fall trees! There workout room was also well equipped! read more

The hotel itself is clean and nice, but I think they should make their housekeeping policies more visible/known so people understand what to expect when booking. There basically is no housekeeping every day. It's only every other day, and that doesn't involve any actual cleaning of your room. Just new towels (only one per person), garbage removal and making your bed. Many families come here with kids in the summer for the nearby beaches. We basically had to deal with sand all over the carpet and bathroom for an entire week. And with children, those tiny garbages fill up quickly. We were basically emptying our own bins daily and foraging for our own towels. Not exactly something guests expect to do when you're paying hundreds of dollars to stay somewhere. So please make that more clear. The staff themselves are very nice and eager to help. The breakfast food is pretty sad. Lots of bran muffins and activia yogurt that will keep constipated old people happy, but us younger crowd in the bathroom all day. People in general are gross though. Not the hotel's fault that someone takes 5 muffins or barks about needing more waffle batter. We stayed away from the "buffet" crowd and sat in the back patio area. A bit better quality would have been nice but hey - it's included in the price so you can't really complain too much. Just have to expect that the hordes of folks who love anything complimentary will descend upon it. read more
