Every time I've gone through security, I'm always shocked that I can walk right through with no wait. Upon going through security, the terminal is small, with limited seating and charging areas. They have a couple of dining options, and multiple large, clean bathrooms. If you're renting a car while in Columbus, this airport makes is super easy. The shuttle to the rental car center leaves every 15 minutes from a stop right outside of baggage claim.

STUPID to have to pay $45 to get through security with a regulary ID that hasn't been upgraded to a real ID. They don't do any additional screenings to ensure you're a REAL non-threatening person... u just pay $45 and then they look at your regular ID to check your name against your reservation... lol. BUT the airport itself is great! SMALL airport, security is a BREEZE and the TWO little gates are perfect. Allegiant flight was delayed and they put out waters and soft drinks for us so that was a nice gesture from Allegiant. The airport is just so convenient, I will gladly use this one ANY time I can over Columbus, just from the pure convenience aspect of parking and getting to the gate quickly. I will have to drive father and past Columbus to get to this one, and parking is $4/day more expensive, but I will do it every time!!!

There are only a few gates here so it's rarely super crowded at any of the establishments. And the SWA Staff is always helpful and friendly. Boarding has changed in 2026 and the different groups are clearly marked on the screens in the boarding area. Preboards and Priority go before Group 1 so don't get too bent out of shape if you're first in line in Group 1.

Our experience in Columbus this morning was not great. We were checking in for an international…read moreflight and needed to present our passports so we went to the main ticket counter in the lobby. The agent working the counter had no personality, in fact, on a scale of 1-10, she probably owed the scale a couple of points. Then, in concourse B, the men's restroom was in desperate need of attention. Finally, as we boarded, the system would not recognize my wife's boarding pass and the gate agent (very nice and very helpful) ultimately had to call someone and read all my wife's passport information to them. He blamed it on "technological issues". The good news - our flight itself was good. Then we arrived in Venice but United decided to leave my bag in Newark, NJ. They "promise" it will be delivered to my hotel in Venice tomorrow - for what their promises are worth). So fat, on this trip, United has not lived up to most of their marketing promises. Granted, the pilots were good and we arrived safely.
