I had to learn everything about EP on Facebook, since prior LCs just led me to incorrect flange sizes and general bad advice. However, I was referred to Breastfeeding Resources after months of feeling dismissed by my PCP and OB. I had clumpy milky and my doctors and LCs would just shrug and claim that's just how my milk is. Except it wasn't always like that. Dr. Smillie instantly recognized the clumpy milk as something typically correlated to mastitis. Although I found such research on my own, my prior doctors refused to acknowledge it. Turns out I had asymptomatic mastitis that was not treated for a long time and caused an unbreakable cycle of inflammation. After two years of getting the run around for 3-4 other gastro doctors, Dr. Andres finally was able to help me after my first visit and under his care for six months I am doing much better. Everyone in his office is fabulous; the office ladies are nice, the ultrasound techs are great. His office is easy to get to and very clean. I was very stressed out about my condition and Dr. Andres took the time to listen and console me. He is also really smart. He calls personally himself to follow up. He is fantastic!
