Solid stay. Comfortable beds and clean hotel. Pretty much everything you need is accessible in the room. Breakfast looked ok, we didn't eat it. Sofia was really sweet during our check-in which was a bonus especially after traveling for over 8 hours. She was helpful with things to do in the area. Also, super accommodating. The only thing is location. It's not in the heart of the city and it feels like an industrial area. It's only a 5-6 minute drive to Downtown Redding.

This is very middle of the road hotel, not amazing or terrible. But sometimes that is exactly what you need. The perfect place to rest your head and then eat breakfast before you start another full day. The check in process was easy, the front desk attendant was nice, and the hotel was clean.

Did a quick overnight stay to break up our road trip and this place had everything we needed. They gave us a free upgrade to the king suite with jacuzzi tub, room was clean and comfortable, and the parking lot had plenty of space. The free breakfast had great options for people with special diets. I was planning to skip the bread section altogether until my husband pointed out that they had individually wrapped gluten-free bagels (which were also dairy, soy, and nut free) and those bagels were delicious! They also offered vegan sausage and oat milk, among the other typical offerings (pork sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, etc). We'd definitely stay here again in the future!

What's up: We are on our road trip and our first stop was Redding. It's right off the 5 FWY so it's convenient but can be a bit noisy outside of the building; I didn't hear any road noise from inside the building. Parking: Plenty of parking available around the hotel. There was another building being built nearby so it might be more busy in the future. There were light poles that had plugs in them that we were able to use to charge our EV. Environment: Social distancing guidelines are being followed and masks are required. Once you enter, the check in counter and the Market, is immediately towards your left and the sitting area on the right. Further down is the business area and the breakfast area. They still have free breakfast!! Fast breakfast (breads, muffins, cereal, and oatmeal) was readily available on the counter. There was an option to ask for hot breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, and biscuits and gravy. Breakfast hours are Monday through Friday: 6 am to 9 am, and Saturday and Sunday: 7 am to 10 am. The gym was a bit small and only had treadmills and some free weights. What was ordered: - We had two Queen beds (super comfy. Individual soaps and shampoo were available in the bathroom. They also included antiseptic wipes. The room was clean and included a microwave and mini-fridge. There was also USB plugs in the alarm clock) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. Our stay was fairly comfortable. Having free breakfast was definitely a plus and being able to charge our car was extremely helpful. It was a simple and decent stay. Credit cards are accepted.

The Good, Truck Trailer parking at the north end of the hotel. Breakfast served in the morning, and happy hour, unusual for Fairfield. Easy on and off highway 5. I stop here when i'm headed north. The Bad, the odd numbered rooms face highway 99. Even as a Marriott Elite, i get a room that sounds like i'm on the median of highway 5. To be fair, Ive gotten rooms that ran the gamut of free upgrades (big bathtub) to this room (125) that feels a notch above Motel 6. The Ugly, only if you believe in science. They, the staff and many of the clients, don't believe in masks. This is probably more reflective of Northern California than the hotel chain. In summary, Its a Fairfield at the north end of Redding CA, not my first (or second ) choice, but it works. A basic (hopefully) clean room with all the amenities you need.

We found this place online. There was plenty of parking. The check in was easy. The room was easy to get to. The room had a little refrigerator and freezer. Also had a microwave. There was a little desk and blow dryer. They had a pool and a hot tub. The breakfast area was huge. Overall great experience and this place has everything you need.

If you're traveling up to five out of California but want to stay in California before crossing into the Oregon border Fairfield Inn and suites is one of the last hotel stops. My friends and I decided to take a trip up to Oregon and since it was along the way we decided to make a stop and rest up. Located right off the freeway the hotel was very easy to fine and their parking lot was decently spacious. If you are driving a EV, like we were, you may be lucky enough to find a 120v plug to top off of a bit. Check in was easy and I was able to get from my into my room within 5 mins. The rooms were on par with other Fairfield Inns I have stayed at in the past. Sheets and the room were clean and there is a ice machine on every floor. The gym was smaller than expected as I can only see four people (pre Covid) working out at the same time. They had free weights going from 2 1/2 pounds to 45 pounds, 2 treadmills, a elliptical, and a stretching rack. They had a filling station for your water but it was empty when we're finished our workout. A nice welcome was a hot breakfast the next morning in preparation for the continuation of our trip. They had coffee, hot water for tea, milk and cereal, a variety of juices, and to go breakfast sandwiches. Due to Covid restrictions hot breakfast was only available if requested. So if you have time, like we did, you ok ask the attendant for a plate of hot food that you can enjoy. For my Pokémon go friends out there , I'm sorry to say there are no PokéStops or Pokémon gyms at this location. Overall a nice stop while on the road.

Nice array of coffee & tea.

Clean, very friendly employees and an overall great place to stay! Stayed a night on our road trip and it was the PERFECT place. Nice, clean pool made for a refreshing dip after a long day of driving. I would definitely recommend this Fairfield!!

Stayed here on a whim on a Thursday in February ~ I'm so glad I did…read more I am an In-Home Supportive Services Provider (IHSS) in California, USA. I was traveling with a client of mine who has very occasional seizures, and early on in our first morning here he had one while alone in the shower. Luckily, this hotel is sandwiched between lots of different hotels and restaurants, but more importantly, between the fabulous Shasta Regional Medical Center the proximate Redding Fire House. First Responders were on site in about ten minutes (which felt like an hour) and transpo went smoothly despite there being no elevator and us being on the second floor (the staircase has a landing and everything). Now, this is all well and good, and relatively standard if I may be so bold, but I'm here to say that the staff at the Americana went way above and beyond the call of duty. Housekeeping was in the next room when he collapsed. When I saw the severity of the situation I-in a relative panic, ran over to nearby staff to ask for help. This incredible woman, Darby, was the perfect person to help (second only to an actual first responder, RN or doctor). After calming the situation down with nothing but grace, she explained a little bit of her own history with seizures and what it meant to her to be able to help us in any way. Darby supported my client and I both physically and emotionally while he came out of his seizure and fell into a deep sleep, thank God, and she even stayed with me for a few minutes after he had been loaded into the ambulance. She and her boss, the manager Heather, and another lovely woman from the Americana whose name I never caught, were so supportive, kind and patient with me while I tried my best to help the PMs gather the information they needed about my client. I'd imagine some people had to check in or out a bit late because of us, sorry! But I couldn't be bothered by other guests after how helpful the staff was. PS . He was cared for in the nearby SRMC, a great hospital about two blocks away. He is now home and in stable condition. TL,DR Staff came in clutch for IHSS worker when senior client had a seizure in the shower - Housekeeper & management absolutely rock The local hospital is excellent!!

Free breakfast really hit the spot too -- it was freshly prepared and served hot --- and the fitness room, while basic, had all the essentials. A bit of a weird layout with the elevators. If I had to come again for work I would only stay on the top floor because (and here's where I took off a star): I'm on the second floor and I can hear the person walking back and forth on the floor above me and the person's tv and conversations next to me. I can also hear water through the walls. That's not a restful experience! In the morning, through my front door I could hear someone's blowing their hair dry from across the hall! It was so clear I thought it was housekeeping running the vacuum. And seriously, is the person above me trying to get their steps in or what? They haven't stopped for a hour!

This hotel is north of the city away from shopping and restaurants in the main part of Redding. The parking lot is shared with the Fairfield By Marriott. After reading reviews of both properties, my wife choose the Home 2 Suites. Check in was a little slow both times as there is only one employee working the front. But, they did their job as best they could. No upgrades to a larger room as I don't have status. We were given a room with 2 queens, exactly as we reserved. The room had a nice sofa, seating area and a large screen tv. Bathroom was large size and had soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion from Zero. They have a gym on the first floor with stationary bikes and treadmill for cardio. Dumbbells and a weight machine are available if you need to lift weights. A laundry room is part of the gym. The gym was adequate, though a little strange to have people in there waiting for the washing machine or dryer. It's a good hotel to stop at after a long drive north. I was so happy with my bed and breakfast experience that I definitely will trust my fellow reviewers in the future. First, Janelle was super accommodating and let me check in early because I would be attending the wedding and needed to get ready. She followed up with me on text message as to my arrival time to make sure that she would be there to greet me. When I walked in, I noticed my phone number was coded to the key pad entrance to the B&B. So cool! Janelle was there to greet me and give me an envelope with my key and instructions. I went up with her to the bedroom and needless to say, was so impressed with her style and quality that she brings to her B&B. The room seemed to be flawless in the way that she spent time picking out pictures and linens. The linens were even washed in a very nice fabric softener and didn't have that normal "hotel" smell. I was able to get the Sun Dial Room, and even though it was the most expensive, it was definitely worth every penny. There was a fresh, large bottle of water in the room with chocolates. I had free wifi and a nice flat screen TV. A jacuzzi tub. And oh, did I mention.. the best, most comfortable bed that I never wanted to leave? Top it off.. breakfast in the morning makes me giddy just thinking about it. I had french toast, a vegetable frittata, potatoes, chicken/apple sausage, fresh juice and coffee. Janelle served breakfast promptly at 8:30 and I was definitely there with bells on. Everything was served family style and while eating breakfast you are able to enjoy the company of other guests, which makes breakfast that much more entertaining. For a few bucks more, stay at this bed and breakfast. Completely avoid the Howard Johnson or other chain hotel. You will not be disappointed.
