We were welcomed by Sunny at the front desk she was very friendly and helpful. Bob the front office kitty was also there to greet guests and was very cuddly and loves belly rubs. First room was 2 queens, it was huge & above the office but the street noise was loud & placement of the AC which was in another side room was not okay for us so we kindly asked for another room. My husband runs warm so we needed AC near the beds like they normally do. This room was awesome though if we had kids as it's was so big great for families. Sunny was great and got us setup with another room. This room was a good size 2 queens with normal AC by the beds. The beds were comfortable. A/C was cold but no fan option that worked to keep on continuously when AC was at temperature so room was not so quiet and still. Our room was very dusty- almost like no one used the room or cleaned it in past few weeks. Layer of dust on the headboard, Kleenex box, nightstand and TV stand. The hairdryer had lint in vent which clogged it from free airflow and it smelled when using. The soap container near the sink was disgusting I don't know what was brown splatter on it and the wall but it was not cleaned by staff. The brown spots that looked like dried blood not dirt. It was late at night when we got in to hotel & didn't feel like going back downstairs to advise as we were exhausted. Would mention something about room condition in the morning. Luckily I had some gloves & Lysol disinfectant wipes to wipe areas down. Bathroom is stocked with shampoo, body wash and conditioners containers attached to the wall and a Soap container on the wall near the sink which is nice if you forgot yours. We have seen this in several Wyndham hotels we stayed in while on vacation. This hotel did offered breakfast when we stayed in Sept 2025 6a-9a but we didn't get downstairs until 8:56am which breakfast just had closed even though not 9am alittle disappointed but we were cutting it close. **Update as of October 6 2025 this location no longer offers breakfast anymore. ** Hotel was quiet at night, the hotel parking lot has two entrances like horseshoe shape. Hotel has a pool, while we didn't use it but there were others who did the evening we came in and seemed to be having a blast and kept noise down which was nice. They remodeled the rooms and they are absolutely beautiful. The front desk is always so friendly and the snacks are very much eight-year-old friendly with a good price . The pool is always so nice and it's kept really clean. It was always clean towels. Every staff on there is so nice and accommodating with room rooms and the pizza place in front is amazing too The location is perfect. First forgive the pictures, I should have taken them when I arrived and not as I left. Overall this hotel was a true bang for the buck. The front desk staff was attentive, very aware of all that was going on with the property and knowledgeable of the property and area. The hotel is older, but super clean, and they have done a ton to make it the best it can be. The beds were hard, but I'm a fan and slept like a baby. The only negative was there are no coffee makers EVEN in a kitchenette room and you can see I had an accident, there coffee is hot which is what I wanted. Yes Wyndham reached out to me, so no need to do it again. I highly recommend this place and will stay again when I come back. read more

It was filthy. Found a rubber Duckie and a tin of chewing tobacco under the bed. Floors were so dirty that anything that dragged across them (like towels) turned black. The kitchen was dirty. The underside of the elevated microwave was dirty. The pots and pans were dumped under the sink. There is no dishwasher so all of those things were dirty. There were gnats or something on the plates. The drip pan under the burners on the stove had pooled oil/grease in them along with debris. The floor was uneven and a bit of a hazard. Our room was not cleaned once in 5 days. I had to ask for towels and toilet paper. I took lots of pictures On a positive note, the front desk people were nice. Checking was easy since I did it online. read more

The lady in the front desk was very nice and Professional. Had a very easy check-in. The problem was when we got to our room it smelled musty. The water flow in the shower was so bad it took for ever to rinse my hair hardly any water flow. My husband keeped telling me he felt like something was biting him on his back and legs. Stayed here after seeing the condition of the disgusting LaQuinta down the road. Totally satisfied with our stay. Room was recently renovated (new flooring, paint, fixtures). Clean; everything that you'd expect from a Wyndham property. (oh- there was no toilet paper, even in the office: but made by with tissue) Breakfast bar was typical of motel food; waffle machine, cereals, bagels. plenty of coffee to get us started on the last leg of our journey. Very quiet despite full hotel... We used our Wyndham Rewards points and booked an evening here. It is at a good location right off CA-299, not too far from downtown (1.7 miles) and just a little over 2 miles drive to the Sundial Bridge. As far as the food scene there's not much of a choice... a pizza place, a cafe and a Thai restaurant. The room was decent size, nice and clean, in fact, by far the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. We were able to check-in at 3:00p (right at check-in time). The property looked decent with clean grounds. Free WiFi, small microwave, and a full-size fridge were among the amenities. The A/C generated enough cold air competing with the triple-digit weekend weather outside. Bed was comfy with the pillow-top mattress and foam pillows. We were cozy. No people loitering outside which made for a restful evening. One of the better Wyndham hotel brand that I came to expect in the Wyndham Rewards hotel loyalty program. We had a pleasant stay. Quiet location but brutally unquiet experience. Someone next to us had the TV blaring until about 5 am. Since I was up all night despite wearing earplugs, I heard occupants start their work trucks at 3:30 & 3:45. Around that time, someone in high heeled shoes came in above us and clicked around in her heels for a while. At 6 we abandoned the hope of sleep in our bed that looked like a queen cot() and prepared to leave when we saw a cockroach Towels from a previous occupant were bunched in a corner. For $100 plus taxes, it was a regrettable experience. It is challenging to travel on zero hours of sleep. Pros are close to the river walking trail and an excellent dinner at Janyas Thai restaurant. read more

Staff was friendly, when had trouble with tv, front desk lady told me to press enter to reset remote. AC worked. We only stayed one night but checked in late and was told they had some one at desk 24/7. Quiet room and husband fell asleep as soon as he got in bed. Cons: huge crack in bathtub wall not pleasing to look at but did not affect my shower. Bathroom walls not quite clean and dead gnats in bathroom sink. Stove top was scratched but did not use it, just looked unappealing to my husband. read more

Just what I needed. I planned a short trip to do some photography and I needed a dog friendly, affordable, centrally located room from which to work. This Travelodge met and exceeded my criteria. It is nicely located near downtown with easy access to the freeway. Brian at the front desk was calm, competent, and friendly. I was pleased to find that they serve a free hot breakfast and the dining area was nicely maintained, clean and stocked with sausage, mini omelets, fresh juices, really decent coffee, yogurt, granola, bagels, make your own waffles, syrup, etc. The room was clean and comfortable and I was able to park right in front. Off season rates made it even more attractive. It was also easy access to some nice local restaurants that delivered. I shot pics in Shasta Lake and Lassen Volcanic National Park. Booked this place as our stopover on the way to Oregon - location was convenient and the price was right. We booked a standard room with 2 queen beds and kitchenette. Pulling up, it was nice to see a parking lot that was well lit and felt safe. It was a tad on the small side though, so I could see parking possibly being an issue if the place was all booked up. Check-in was easy, and the folks at the front desk were really friendly and made conversation. This is one of those examples where customer service goes a long way, especially when you've had a long drive and just need a place to crash. The room: We were quite pleased with how big it was! It was a larger than normal motel room size; not sure if it's because we booked it with the kitchenette option? Anyway, I could see it fitting 4ish people without feeling too cramped. While a little dated (red carpeting, floral drapes, and older style furniture), it was overall clean and tidy. The kitchenette had a stove, sink, mini fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. Beds were soft and comfy. The only downside was after we turned on the heater, we were unable to turn it off later that night. Flicked it to off, but it just kept going. It was late and not a huge deal, so we shrugged it off. It was nice to see there was a charging port on the nightstand (2 plugs, 2 USB ports) - don't see this too often at budget hotels/motels. Breakfast: If I recall correctly, breakfast runs from 6 to 9am. The breakfast room is a nice size - not too small. Seating was comfortable. They had cereal, bagels, pastries, hard boiled eggs (prepackaged), yogurt, coffee, etc. No hot foods, but still very nice to be able to fuel up on some basics before hitting the road. It's a very nice amenity and it bogles my mind that a few reviewers complained about the breakfast. You're staying at the Travelodge, not the Ritz for Pete's sake. Overall, very solid place if you're not looking for any fancy - it's clean, the beds are comfy, parking feels safe, and customer service is great. read more

My lady and I stayed here only one night, thankfully , but what a miserable night. The vanity light could not be shut off. That's right. The switch failed with its simple function. We figured we could sleep anyway with it on but no, alas, we needed darkness. At 3:30am we switched rooms and at least my gf was able to get some shut eye. Not me though. In addition to the light fiasco, the mattress was hard and very uncomfortable. Every movement on that hideous mattress was disruptive. For the record though, the area and parking lot was hooker-free. Great location. The employee Sunny who Checked us in was just the absolute best! She has the best personality for her job. I wish the world had more people like her. The room was nice. Spacious. My family and I stopped at the Travelodge for a quick stop on our way up to Oregon. The check in went rather smooth and the host at the front desk was very personable and friendly. We went into our room and upon first look it seemed welcoming and we liked the fact that the floors were laminate, as hotel carpets can be quite disgusting. However, the moment our one year old took his shoes off and started running around the room his feet turned black from all the dirt. There was hair in the shower and the shampoo container was empty. It was 104 on the day we arrived and our room did not start cooling down until 5am the next morning. I am just thankful that our 5 month old and 18 month old didn't suffer from heat stroke or heat exhaustion. My suggestion if you're thinking of stopping here as a pit stop on your way to your destination, don't. Stay at home an extra night and leave early the next morning. read more

Perfect stop for a nights rest while traveling through California. They accommodated for our cat and extra vehicle. The room was clean and breakfast was available in the morning. Due to the wildfires we had to take an alternate route which took us hours around I5 and in through the mountains. We we're super tired, so we decided to stop for the night at this hotel. The pictures on the site were great but when we pulled up to the hotel, the outside looked a bit sketchy but seemed well surveillanced. The late night staff was a super friendly gentleman. (Wish I recalled his name, AF-AM man) The 2 queen size bed room was a decent size and moderately clean but not worth the 100+ price tag. We stayed here again this past weekend and the staff were as friendly as could be.. from the front desk clerks to the room keepers. My rate was pretty high on a St Paddy's day weekend, so im not sure if it was because of the holiday or just because they are charging more for rooms. Either way, I wasn't disappointed. Rooms are clean, location is safe, in and out is a breeze. They offer breakfast now in their lobby before 9am.. which I like better than the coupons we used to get for a restaurant down the street. This hotel took my credit card information from a criminal without an ID and without a physical credit card and charged me twice when I did not stay there. My bank says the vendor needs to address it. Travel Lodge sent me a digital print of the bill with my name and card and claimed that was proof I was there. No signatures, No Id check, No CDL number. I contacted the local hotel while the "guest" was still there on Dec 31 and they did nothing but claim that they had not been trained for the issue and to call corporate. I called corporate who referred me back to the local. As of today, they have not refunded the charges and have not taken any further action. It seems they want me to pay for their poor training and acceptance of the crime. read more

For a 2-3 star motel, this is a 4. I am telling you it is top notch for low-mid end. Negotiated a last minute price for two upstairs queen beds to $65. Includes mid-sized pool. SPA hidden inside the little gym:dont miss it. Clean, plenty of basics for up to 4 people. Two of us cozy. Breakfast room wonderful. Staff excellent, helpful, want to do more. Nice. No messy waffle machine. Instead micro wave in spotless breakfast room has fridge with breakfast burritos, egg bisquits, yogurt, more. Toasts, breakfast pastries, cereals, plenty of coffee. Sudden deluge of family with normal morning, loud, hungry kids, and we skeedaddled with our goodies to our room. We can't expect adults only at $65.00. Easy to give the space to budget families Definitely recommend for all budget minded groups. read more

Yeah, no. This place is a pit. I reserved a non smoking room with a King bed. We got a crappy looking room with a bed that resembled a fold up bed, no box springs, and was lucky if it was a double. Carpet old and dank. But the worst part is the woman that was manning the counter. I am sure she thinks she is being personable, but I found her incredibly unprofessional and annoying. Calling people "honey", talking over them, interrupting them, and generally acting like she is the most important person in the room. Waited for 15 minutes for help while she talked dogs with the one other person in the lobby. I had to provide my license plate, so I say just a minute its not my car, let me grab it. She says "Oh no, dont go outside its too hot" (it was about 90). Then, a few minutes later asks "are you going to get me that license plate number?". Huh. Seriously, middle aged african american woman with big hair. Avoid her. And Avoid this pit. read more

We were traveling from our home in Vancouver, WA on our way to southern California. We needed a place to spend the night and get some much needed rest. We bought a night at this hotel last weekend. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the room was. We received excellent customer service at the front desk. We only paid 79 plus tax and hotel fee. They also gave us a free meal at a restaurant nearby. The restaurant is called The Lumberjack. The restaurant was very nice and since the meal was free you won't here me complain. read more

Was looking for a place to stay last minute. Travelodge was most affordable and had great reviews so gave it a shot. Guy at the front desk was very friendly. Check in was quick. The room was huge. Surprisingly, the bed was very comfortable. The furniture is outdated but I was happy with how clean our room was. Did I mention the room was huge? :)Did not try the breakfast. Parking- easy. Plenty of spaces right outside the rooms. Grabbing a bite - easy. Some places to eat right out side. Getting a restful nights sleep - easy. Saw many other people outside/neighbors, some with pets, but did not hear a peep outside of our room. Access to Shasta and burney - easy 20min / hour drive Only complaint was the shower. Water was either extremely hot or cold. Just turning the knob ever so slightly changed the temp from freezing to burning. Had to let it run for awhile and play with the knob before getting a comfortable temp. I would stay again, though. read more

And our credit card was compromised when we booked the room over the phone they sent me two emails which I thought was strange.
