Found a couple open seats at the bar after about 10 minutes. Decided to just eat dinner there. Again, the food was outstanding but after 5 million miles you can say that a lot. What stood out and actually write a review. The staff was amazing. Well trained. Professional, Organized. When is the last time as a road warrior have you said that? For none road warriors. Trust me. But I guess I was expecting a little more when it came to food options and taste. In the Deep South, I usually count on great homemade specials, unique twists on old favorites and seasoning like no other region of the country. This was like an Applebee's...but not a chain. Absolutely AMAZING! I cannot emphasize this enough. 12/10 recommend dining here! Especially if you're new to the area. We're traveling through from Missouri and almost went to a different restaurant but I'm so glad we changed directions last minute. Kaleigh was our server, she was BEYOND sweet and so attentive. Literally so great that I'm writing this review before even leaving the restaurant from dinner. Due to medical issues, my boyfriend can't have salt. Kaleigh and her manager went out of their way to ensure my boyfriend knew the sodium levels in his food BEFORE processing his order to ensure it was safe for him to eat. They genuinely cared to keep him, a stranger, healthy and alive. Kaleigh also recommended basically our entire meal to us (ribeye sandwich with sweet potato tots & bourbon street nachos) and made fresh sweet tea for me! The meals were nothing short of amazing, the cooks did a fantastic job preparing all of it. Everything was so fresh and filled with flavor. I really loved the nacho queso being on the side so my chips weren't all soggy and smothered! The meal also didn't immediately hurt my boyfriend which is always a plus. Kaleigh and two of her managers both went out of their way to check on us frequently (but not too often) and were so fantastic to just have a conversation with. This was a highlight to a very long day. The restaurant itself is also just so cozy and it's busy for a very good reason! Yet the popularity did not stunt the quality of the service or food even slightly. I'm just as excited to eat my left overs as I was to get my food! Literally, I'm still panicking that I didn't tip that girl enough for the quality of service we reserved. We had an 8:15 reservation but didn't get seated until 8:40 or so. That was pretty annoying. Our waiter was amazing though and apologized for the long wait, which was nice. I hadn't been here in years and it was pretty good. There was 5 of us hashing dinner. Everyone enjoyed their meal and cocktails. After an emotionally traumatizing experience at Jobo across the street, I stopped here and had a fantastic time. The staff were super friendly, nice cocktail list, and they had a wonderfully kids menu for my daughter. At my first visit we were just there for a bite so I had the spring rolls which were phenomenal. Everything was so good, I ended up booking a birthday dinner for 6 there on that following Monday. The serve took the time to have the manager come over and personally confirm my reservation, which I thought was a nice touch. Service was only slightly above average, and although our server was very kind, it took around 25 minutes to receive our food. I thought they did a decent job for our number of people. Despite that, the food was mediocre, and the prices were absolutely ridiculous for what you got. The view from our seats and the location is right downtown, and has the park right next to it. Our entrees, NOLA Pasta and Chicken and Shrimp Pontrarchain, were excellent in taste, though the andouille in the pasta dish had no bite (tasted more like mild smoked sausage) and was almost absent from the dish. The very small chicken breast was a bit dry. The cheesecake dessert was wonderful. The sides, however, needed some help. The Brussel sprouts were not fresh, but frozen, and as a result, very soggy. One of the four whole pieces still had the base on it, which needed to be cut off before eating. The sauce, however, was very good. The grits had a good jalapeño taste but were very firm and not creamy at all. The Manhattan that was ordered was served in a martini glass...yet I saw other drinks being served in proper glasses. Our server didn't keep up with refilling water glasses nor cleaning away dishes. The space is open and inviting. Since we arrived just before 3 pm, it was not busy, so little things, like an employee sitting in a corner booth interacting with other folks for our entire visit, became obvious. Staff walked around the dining area, without purpose, yet ignored our pushed aside plates and empty water glasses. We will visit again, during more typical dining times, to see if the service improves. read more

Very trendy place for brunch, you can get items on their regular menu if you are not up For Brunch items. I was seat immediately and had the best service from Kelly. She was very helpful and gave great suggestions. I had a Deep Blue Sea Martini that was very refreshing and tasty. Kelly gave me several suggestions for my meal and I chose the NOLA Pasta with chicken and crawfish in a gumbo sauce. Perfecto!!!! I ordered the Berry Cobbler that reminded me of my Great Grandmother because it had blackberries in it. We used to pick Blackberries that grew outside wild and she would make us a Blackberry cobbler.
