When I went to Dr. Luu it was a Friday afternoon close to closing. I showed up with a massive infection in two of my teeth; face swollen like a cartoon bee sting. Within minutes he had a plan set out for me to get me back to health. He told me to show up the next morning moving other appointments to accommodate my situation. He removed the infection not only in the teeth but in my cheek and the infection closing in on my eye. After the technical appointments he had me back to normal. He saved the sight in my Left eye. Repaired the damage in my two teeth and gave me a new pair of implants that work and look amazing. Not only Dr Luu but the entire staff was/is awesome. They made me feel at home and welcomed. Every step was explained to me thoroughly from visits to billing to every procedure that was being performed. The music choice is top notch as well always a high point. I came here for a cleaning and was told I needed to redo many of my fillings. Service was good, but they need to work on their billing. Before I did the fillings, my insurance was contacted and I paid the difference before each appointment. I thought it was all done. A year later I get a bill for $268, I called and they said that my insurance only covered for the amalgam, not the white filling. I wish they told me this before, not get billed a year later. Also, when I call to pay, they charge 3% of your bill to use your card. I feel that patients should be made aware that this might happen. It would be nice to know. read more

I went to see this dentist a few years ago for a routine cleaning after being in between dentists. It took me a while to write this review, but reading some of the other poor reviews I felt a need to share my experience. First of all, the hygienist who worked there at the time was incredibly rude and I remember her making me feel extremely bad and had the most condescending way of telling me how to care for my teeth. Then, the dentist came in and told me that I had over 14 cavities!!! Mind you, I never even had any pain or discomfort coming in. As he is explaining this to me he does not show me the x ray to compare. The conclusion was that I would need to come back for several appointment to have the work done plus an extra deep cleaning. They finished my cleaning and even made me spit and rinse in a separate bathroom which was odd. When I got to the counter to give my insurance and pay, I was encouraged to make all my appointments asap so that I can get as many in before the end of the year and use up all of my insurance.... Sketchy at best. I left and went to get a second opinion at another dentist. When they called to request my x ray from this dentist they were denied or the x rays never made it through. However, come to find out from the new dentist I only had 1 tiny cavity. I am so glad I got a second opinion and did not get scammed. BEWARE read more

I literally just had the worst experience of my life in this dental office. They were about to put a crown on the WRONG tooth! They would have if I had not stopped them. I'm still shaking and my heart is pounding from the experience. I wish I had read the previous reviews before I went to this place. So I went in because the bottom front tooth was cracked. This happens a lot because I clench my teeth. I told him just to fill it because I've cracked that tooth a million times and it will happen again. He refused and said it needs a crown. I did not have time for a crown then so they filled it and said they would get approval from my insurance on the crown and the periodontal work that was needed. They also took a photo of the tooth. They told me they would call me once they got approval. After a long time went by with no call I called them. They said my insurance needed the xrays my previous dentist took for the approval. I thought that was a little strange since they had taken a photo of the tooth but I had the xrays sent over. Again I did not hear from them so I called again. I was told I would have to pay 480 for the crown. I thought that seemed high for a tiny front tooth. They also said the doctor reviewed the xrays and wanted to do a comprehensive exam. I told them I would come in and do comprehensive at the same time as the crown. When I come in they started to take pictures and a dental impression of my back tooth for some reason. I thought this was strange and reminded them they were doing the front tooth. They were completely confused and had no idea what I was talking about. After much back and forth and a lot of denying on the part of the girl that submitted the approvals I discovered what had happened and it's shocking. She never submitted the approval for the front tooth crown she just submitted for an approval on "a crown" as she put it. She did not even know the tooth number. Nor did they submit for approval on the periodontal work they said I needed. She obviously never submitted the photo of the tooth they took and that is why my insurance asked for my old dental xrays. When they xrays arrived the dentist reviewed them. He apparently FORGOT he was supposed to be doing the bottom front tooth and looked at an old crown on my xray and thought maybe that was the tooth he was supposed to be putting a new crown on but "was not sure" and that is why they wanted me to come in for a comprehensive exam. Mind you my previous dentist took these xrays and did not say I needed to replace that crown. I even called them after I left the dentist today to confirm this. So when they asked me to come in for the comprehensive exam I said let's combine it with the crown because as far as I had been told I was coming in for a crown on the bottom front tooth and had no idea they were looking at the back left already crowned tooth. I thought he just wanted to check my teeth from something he saw in the xrays. So when I came in they thought I had said ok lets do the crown on that back tooth. One they never even spoke to me about. If I had not noticed they were taking photos and xrays of the back tooth they literally would have replaced the back crown and charged me 480 dollars for it and never would have done the crown on the front tooth. The girl that submitted to the insurance would NOT admit she made a mistake she kept blaming it on me and me not wanting to come in for the comprehensive exam. I never said I would not come in for it I agreed to come in for it but said I wanted to combine it with the crown on what I had been told was the front tooth to save time. She was pretty confused about the whole thing. I still think she does not fully understand the serious nature of the mistake she made. How do you submit for an approval on a crown without providing the tooth number then get confused and just decide it's some other tooth that needs no work at all from old dental records you never had at the time you recommend a crown in the first place? This is dental record keeping 101. Don't you read the notes the doctor gives you when you submit for approvals from insurance? She clearly did not do this and did a shoddy job with her insurance paperwork. Even when I left she never apologized. The dentist did. It seemed by the end of the conversation he understood the mistake that had been made but the other girl still seemed indignant and upset at me. She should not work in a dental office if she cannot submit the most basic paperwork for insurance approval with tooth numbers and current photos taken. To think that they almost operated on the wrong tooth and would never have known if I had not pointed it out is so incredibly horrifying. I thought about reporting the dentist to the dental licensing board but because the work was not done I'm not sure how much would have come of it. So the most I can do is warn people here not to go to this dentist. Please think twice before going here. It's not a safe to have work done here read more

Went in with no pain and had a filling done because Dr. Luu said I needed it. Listened to Dr. Luu have a nice chat about upcoming vacations with his assistant while they were working inside my mouth. Increased the price mid-way through because he said it was deeper (despite doing xrays before hand). Left with an abnormal amount of pain. Called a couple days later to have the pain addressed. Re-did the filling. Even more pain. Third visit... "Oh, now you need a root canal and full crown on that exact same tooth, but I can't do it right now. Can you come back another time?" They also wanted to charge me the for filling on top of the root canal and crown that only magically had issues after they worked on it. I'm not one for conspiracies, but logic dictates they caused that problem. At the very least is was mis-diagnosed and handled incredibly poorly. I should have questioned and went for second opinions. They said all my fillings needed to be replaced. This was the only dentist that jammed the needle into my gums. All my other dentists to the lip shaking method so there isn't any pain. High spots on the fillings. Even had filling between the gaps of my teeth and couldn't floss and had to come back and fix. They have the worst hygienist. The last was very rude and terrible in what she does. She said I am due for X-ray. Usually it's annually. I said okay so long as insurance covers it. Dr.Luu's team came in very handy during an emergency he saved a tooth with a root canal that had failed he cleaned each nerve and the only thing i regret is not listening to him sooner. The office is quite busy because of covid but once you explain the issue they help you quickly and do same day appointments. My wife had the worse dental experience in her life at this place. She was in so much pain after her visit, she was crying all the way home. They drilled into the side of her tongue, and than tried to lie to me and told me she bit her own tongue. My wife told me she didn't bite her tongue, and that the Dr. actually caught her tongue with the drill. She did a deep cleaning, and than 2 fillings at same visit. The deep cleaning was ok, the technician did good job. The Dentist did a horrible job doing the fillings. He put her in pain trying to push her mouth and cheek open further and hurting her. Than drilled her tongue. This dentist is a monster. Immediately cancelled all future appointments. Would recommend you avoid this dentist. read more

I was told the office manager was going to call me with a treatment plan for my daughter to discuss the prices of treatment because she was not present. NEVER received a call. So I called 4 different times different days following up to hear she'll give me a call up leading to a day before my daughters scheduled appointment I call again and she answers and was not professional she told me my daughters treatment was about $1500 which wasn't a big deal to me she made it seem like it was out of my budget and when I said ok she seemed shocked and I asked was n2o included with that quote she said no that nitrous was an additional $700!
