He shows up about 30 minutes late (I was on my way out) and he said he got a flat and that it was no big deal, we could do it another time. He never called GG to tell them to let me know he wasn't going to make it back and to reschedule. Fat coward three years until this week. I stopped back in and scheduled a golf lesson. He looked in his book and said he was open at 10am on Sunday 1-6. I drive there from my house (about 35 minutes away) and walk in the door only to be told by Craig that he made a mistake and it was supposed to be next Sunday. Apparently he is the only one who's time is valuable. Stay away, he will screw you too.

There was what seemed to be a nicely varied and well staffed and stocked driving range with standard booths, a field area for iron work, a sand trap and a practice green to simulate all sorts of golfing conditions. What we were there for, though, was mini-golf. After navigating the self-serve machine to pay our entrance fees and get our balls and putters, we were treated to a very interesting and well-maintained course. It was just challenging enough to keep the adults interested while not being too overwhelming for the kids. A very nice balance. Staff was friendly and opened the main building to allow the kids to use the bathroom. Due to COVID, all food services are currently suspended. There aren't a ton of family-friendly activities to do when visiting Danville, but this place 100% fits the bill.

It is fun and challenging, not to mention very nicely maintained and an absolute bargain. If you play the blues it's still pretty tough for an average golfer (#3 plays ~200 yards for a par 3, for example). The namesake hill on #8 is downright nasty, and you have zero chance of getting on the green in 1 no matter how big a hitter you are so you have to lay up at the bottom of the hill and then rocket one up there to have a chance. I am a huge huge fan.

This place is rich with history and is run by a former PGA Pro with a great staff. You can set up golf lessons if you are a complete golf newbie to get a few tips to start or if you want to just hone your golf skills. It's not just a rich mans sport. Their prices for me are ridiculously affordable and reasonable. It's a 9 hole course and you can even rent carts if you don't feel like walking. I am always on the fence about walking the course but renting a cart makes so much more sense and fun :-). It's a great way to play a quick game when you are in the area or just spend the day playing golf.

Not only did our kids enjoy go-karts, VR and laser tag in a safe contained space, golf and mini golf but we did too! There were also other activities available outside of what the bracelet covers. Some of our group paid under $10 extra to do the gem mining activity while the rest of us went to the batting cages for an extra fee. There was plenty of seating available near the attractions so you can still enjoy watching your loved ones if you're not up for play during your time there. Not only was the variety of entertainment exciting and fun, but the staff was incredible too. All of the teens and young adults working there were so engaged, great with the kids, and respectful and helpful to us adults. I also loved that we could access our car at any point during our time there. We kept our water bottles and heavy stuff in there and got them when we needed to. You could probably even pack a cooler to keep in the car for mealtimes if you're on a budget or with picky eaters. Or if packing a cooler feels daunting, you don't even have to leave the premises for snacks or meals, because there is a concession stand inside with a variety of choices. We ate before we came, but enjoyed some ice cream before leaving, and the fries that were cooking while we were in there smelled delicious. This was such a nice way to get out for a day of play with our children, and we had just as much fun as they did! It's truly a place for all ages and I wish we had a complex like this closer to home!
