It is a strange feeling walking in to Fairvilla Mega Store. Having been here once when it was a movie house back in the day, walking in to a brightly lit specialty shop that is clean, spacious, and staffed with friendly customer service reps makes it a completely different experience. Why, you can even leave your sunglasses in the car. I visited Fairvilla this afternoon to purchase a Penthouse magazine. And in case you are wondering, I don't buy it for the articles. Although the article about festivals that celebrate the paranormal, such as the one in Roswell, New Mexico, makes for a interesting read. Seasonal reading for Halloween. And speaking of Halloween, Fairvilla carries many costumes, masks, and accessories for your upcoming Halloween party. A great selection of magazines, DVD's, toys, clothing, and accessories for the adult are featured. And as I mentioned, the sales staff are friendly and helpful. Even as you walk in through the entrance (sans sunglasses), there is a cashier ready to greet you. And a shout out to DK, the friendly cashier who helped me out with my purchase. I am really impressed on how what was once a dark adult movie theater has been renovated into a shop that is both comfortable to walk around in and actually fun to browse. And compared to some other adult themed stores in the area, one can actually feel safe here at Fairvilla. Great for bachelor/bachelorette parties. Or if your group is out on the town for the evening and happen to be passing by. On my visit here today, I saw a Playboy calendar for 2016 on sale. The store is huge and well stocked. It's very professional set up and not sleazy. Their lingerie collection is decently priced. It was my first foray into an adult shop as a married man. Pulling up the shop is huge. There is ample parking on the side which is hidden from the road so you don't feel like everyone will know your business if you don't want them to know. Walking in the door you are in a smaller room that feels quaint and not so overwhelming. The door sits in between two registers for check out. The staff was milling about and consisted of several aged folks male and female. Directly in front of us, a lingerie display and some funny post cards and buttons. The smaller room has some more "comfortable items". The restrooms are located there as well where you can empty your nervous bladder! I was pleasantly surprised how very nice the restrooms were as well. They were VERY clean and decorated, so far so good! They also have a small cooler display case with some beverages in that room. Heading out into the main room you realize this place is pretty large for this kind of shop. We managed a nice circular pattern and covered pretty much the whole shop. They have all sorts of items appealing to a wide array of tastes and comfort. We felt at ease by the staff who routinely asked if we needed any assistance or had any questions but not so much as to feel bothersome or intrusive. It was nice to be able to browse the entire gamut and explore what each of likes and don't like. They have everything here, clothing, toys, DVDs, gag gifts, costumes, books, and even party supplies. The pricing is a bit higher than what you find on the Internet for some of the higher end toys but the relaxing atmosphere and the fact that they have demo units of everything really makes it worthwhile to purchase here. They have major displays upstairs from all the large manufactures which means you can really tell what the lubricants is going to taste or smell like or just how small or large the toy really is. And most importantly, it just feels comfortable in there. No weird people milling about, no strange smells or dirty floors. They even have a clever display for some "classroom" role play upstairs. Checking out with several items in hand a nice younger man helped us and was very polite and seemed genuine even when we had to discuss what the battery size was of something we were going to purchase was, because it wasn't listed on the package. He opened the package up and we analyzed it together. It ended up being a closed unit with no way to replace the batteries so we opted not to get it. We were not made to feel uncomfortable at all and we all had a laugh when we said we decided not to get it because we did not want to buy a disposable toy. My friend and I ran to Fairvilla after reading such great reviews and could not leave soon enough. I've been to more than my fair share of erotic shops and have never been so disappointed. While they do have a decent selection, everything is incredibly overpriced. The other shoppers were pretty interested in what we were buying and did not mind their own business, making it rather awkward. Store assistants lingered everywhere, watching what we were checking out. What was suppose to be a fun and relaxed outing turned into an awkward and uncomfortable experience. I had the pleasure of being drug to Fairvilla, the adult superstore on OBT, by a friend last Halloween. To say I was overwhelmed is an understatement. The store was gigantic. Two levels of everything under the sun pertaining to s-e-x. The first floor was littered with costumes all of the scantily clad variety and of every theme imaginable. The ceiling is 2 stories tall and you can peer up at the second level balcony while perusing the racks. There is a video room in the back of the first level with videos galore of the naughty sort organized by category, of which i will refrain from mentioning. The second level contained more costume accessories as well as novelty items. You can pretty much find anything you might want to enhance this area of your life somewhere within the walls of Fairvilla.
