Fairway team was great, methodical, conscientious, friendly and efficient, we are very happy we picked them for our move. We quoted others but their cost structure, giving us 3 tiers to select from was perfect for us, we picked the 2 trucks, 4 guys, the 4 guys worked together well. In the move from Fairway Moving Services, a number of articles were damaged and they did not even offer the standard $.60 per pound insurance. For example, a 65 inch TV powered up the evening of the move, suffered internal damage their claim the TV did not reflect any external damage to the screen or casing. Most often the newer tv's when dropped, would not show any outside damage,, even with its interior parts being broken. Their claim was the TV was already broken prior to the move, or why didn't I power up the TV once delivered. The movers were quick to leave and pressured me to sign the delivery receipt. They also claimed that the TV should've been boxed up rather than padded. All I heard were excuses, even with the other items that were damaged in the move. I called them for a local move for my parents, literally less than one mile away. They weren't scheduled to come until the around noon, but had a cancellation and came earlier. They were on time, worked expeditiously and were very neat!. They took the time to wrap everything and ensured the truck was packed correctly, leaving nothing broken or damaged. The three guys that showed up were polite and professional. They moved a two bedroom house, including wrapping, bed break down and set up and had everything in place at the new house in 4 hours! TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT/OWNER I had a friend stop over the house and a neighbor watching while the second crew was there. I was advised that they were loud and obnoxious while at my home. I was also told they were messing around riding my children's skateboards and scooters around my driveway at $250 per hour. Not something you wish to hear, but I figured I would bring this to the attention of the owner after completion of the move. After completion of the move I paid via credit card and believe I was charged too much as the figures did not add up. I have a written copy of the receipt and will handle this through the proper channels. The crew left after completion however they did slow down while waiting for the second truck to arrive at my new address. The next day I was on the road going back to my old residence moving the items the moving company either forgot or would not move. During this time, I was driving and contacted by Michael stating my credit card had been declined. I advises him that I would call him in 20 minutes to resolve the issue. As soon as I got home about 15 minutes later I called and left him a voicemail to resolve the issue, as my credit card said there was no issues. Approximately 10 minutes later I was contacted by Sally Nierwienski, whom immediately was challenging and rude beyond belief. I explained to her there must be some error with the credit card information that her employee hand wrote on my bill, and I was correct. He had inadvertently written down one wrong number. I explained to Sally as a business owner/manager of what my neighbors had observed while her second crew was at my property. She became extremely defensive and rude denying everything that was stated. She then began to berate me as being a deadbeat and such so I clearly stated this conversation is over and said goodbye and hung up. Within 3-5 minutes I received a very threatening text statin she was going to go to the magistrate to file charges against me for nonpayment and attach whatever late fees they could against me. I did not respond to this threatening text. About 5 minutes after receiving this threatening text Sally called me back again. She was as rude as the first time raising her voice acting extremely unprofessional and accusatory towards me. I provided her with my credit card information again and she then hung up on me. I have never been spoken to so unprofessionally by a business owner that works by word of mouth and mailings. The extreme lack of customer service is duly noted and will not fall on deaf ears. I can't recommend this business to anyone based on the lack of Sally's completely unprofessional candor. I have told all my friends in the real estate business of this as well as everyone I professionally deal with, so they can make an educated decision based on my terrible experience with Sally. There are plenty of other reputable movers out there, I suggest you do your due diligence when hiring a company and hope you don't have to deal with someone as lousy as Sally like I did. read more

The crew was pleasant and reminded me of a well trained military unit. Each took a room and started moving items on the truck, never getting in the way of one another and just kept going. The guy with the clapboard never smiled and always looked mad. Unfortunately they never wrapped my upholstered LR chair and stacked it high near roof inside and kept turning it and the top corner was torn. Everything else was wrapped. They did not dismantle the hoses on my Select Number mattress so the unit just dangled off the mattress as it was carried into truck. Now the pump doesn't work to adjust air which worked the day before I moved. They disassembled my entertainment unit; however a different guy was trying to reassemble the shelf and having much difficulty. Finally had it up but warned about the stability. When Spectrum Tech came to install TV, the shelf came down on him, nicked the wall and the base of the unit. Luckily it missed the TV. Just found that the frame on guest bed isn't properly in alignment and I can't even make the bed. I did a second move a few weeks later of the garage. They scheduled 4 guys to do this. Said all I had to move was totes, boxes, Xmas tree and two plastic storage cabinets. She reduced it to three. When they came, even the clipboard guy mumbled 3 men for this. Needless to say, they packed the truck went the nine miles to new location and unpacked in an hour and 15 minutes. There is a 3 hour minimum (which I understand), but I didn't need three men which is what I had to pay. As I am an elderly woman alone,I can't do much. Now I have to find competent individuals to correct these matters. read more

We hire this moving company to move us twice within a 3-month period. Moved first time was around the first of September 2022, second time was October 31st, 2022. We had used them in the past without any problems. It was just the opposite and regret we let them do it. I even tip them $200 , $100 on ech move, plus paid the owner over $1000. They did not mention damage on last move, just took the money. when they did the final move, they damage our dresser, which owner tried to repair, but made it look worst, mirror was not tight on dresser. did not put screws back in headboard on twin beds, said they could not locate, remember they move us on the first round, also put the screws in backwards on queen bed and strip one of the screws, the headboard on the queen was very loose also. He told me that he would settle for $200, but that was all talk. wanted a proof of estimate for damage, which he had already tried to repair. I ask to put a claim in with his insurance, LOL on that. I truly tried to work with him and agree to a settlement of $200, which was what we agree on. I have pictures of proof I will be posting. Fairway broke my recliner chair. Conveniently It was the last thing they removed from the truck just as I was paying. They said it was already broke, told me how to fix it and left. I am elderly and not able to fix anything. This chair was just used to sit prior to them taking it apart. It seems the bolts were broke right out of it that held the back of the recliner. I sent in a claim and never heard back. I had to pay to have my chair fixed and bolted. read more

Recently used this company for a local move. They showed up on time and for three guys they worked very fast. Everything was properly wrapped and they took the time to pack the truck right, nothing broken. Everyone was polite and in 5 short hours, a three bedroom house was moved with the beds set up and everything in its place at my new house. One tip, they do work job after job so I'm glad I got them first thing in the morning because they worked really hard with no breaks. Oh to be young! Thanks and do not hesitate to hire them. Anyone who had ever moved knows the anxiety that goes along with it. Fairway Moving Services took the fear out of moving. Not only did they do their usual routine, they went beyond our expectations. They carefully packed and moved our belongings and patiently placed them into our new home. Besides placing furniture where we requested, they put together bed frames(not an easy task with our master bedroom set!) and put our storage containers in our attic space. This was an added bonus!!! They were always pleasant and respectful and willing to please. They were with us for 9 long hours and never seemed overwhelmed or in a hurry. No stars-- after a walk through and lengthy discussion regarding our move, I was told I would receive follow up the next day. I did not get any follow up, so I messaged and was given an appointment for our pick up day Via a text message. The walk through meeting discussion was centered around my concerns regarding delivery after a simultaneous close so we would require our items to stay on the truck for at least one night. My regret is not getting these details in a written contract. When I called a week prior to our move I was told " you never booked a delivery date" and I was offered 6 days later. I asked Sally if she remembered our extensive conversation regarding the needs of our move and she dismissed my concerns. Jason at Carolina Elite movers came to our rescue on very short notice addressing ALL of our needs. I do not recommend Fairway at all for poor communication, failure to follow through, and complete dismissal of my concerns after a lengthy meeting with the owners. I am extremely disappointed as I was coming confident after our initial meeting. read more

The 1st question would be how and why would a moving company book not just one but 3 job for one day without coming to assess the 1st job to see how much time is needed to do the job 100% complete. Now my experience was a disaster I used them on a recommendation but sadly after having to go back with a 25 ft u haul and then another 10 ft u haul and costing me a extra weeks rent I could not freely recommend them. They said oh we will come tomorrow why not just do the job right and do it in one day. I asked them to take a picture of the truck for when I got done with my closing and went back to my apartment it worked like a tornado went through. I was livid but was afraid to say anything cause I was not at my new home with my belonging they did take. when I asked they why and how they could do this the owner got so nasty and foul mannered. I ask why did you not come out prior to the move to be prepared and his response was if we went out for every job to be prepared that would all we would be doing... LOL hire someone then to do that. and do not book other jobs when you do not know what the 1st job entails. Disputed it with my Credit Card and won. Then received about 7 texts from the owner threatening message from owner. This a real review from a real customer DO NOT USE there other's out there just GOoogle (KEVIN'S) for example. Arrogant Company thinking they are all that like there is no other company better. And owner likes to talk on your dime. And have lunch on your meter.... Never got my free 10 boxes either... We have used Fairway moving twice now. The first time was about 4 years ago for a local move and I believe the company was just starting out. We were very impressed with the customer service we received. For four years we recommended their service to many who were looking for a mover. Without a second thought I called them to load and ABF moving truck for a long distance move. I asked two things of the team. One of those things was to put my treadmill in the back of the truck and to make sure it was protected. When the truck got to our out-of-state destination we opened the back lock and the top of the treadmill, the part with the screen and all the electronics, came crashing down on us. It was broken beyond compare. Everything else in the truck was tied down and hadn't moved. The top of the treadmill must have been thrown up on top as an afterthought. I have informed the company and am waiting to hear back. It is sad to see a great start up company become too big for good customer service. read more
