The fairways are fast , the ball rolls after the shot lands , in the past the greens were overwatered and soft. The rough is thick but not too high so it is penalizing but not unplayable like the past.It used to be challenging to even find your ball in the rough , now you'll find it and you can play it but it won't be easy to hit. The course is hard enough and it's so much more playable with shorter rough. It definitely speeds up the round not looking for balls in the rough all day. The course was In impeccable condition even though we just experienced a heat wave. A member told me about the new greens keeper and conditions and he was spot on! The course is so much better this year than in the past , if you get the opportunity to play it , do it!

The menu is tired and way over priced. The kitchen has no idea what med-rare is. The servers brough out our appitzers at the same time as your main course food was over cooked and it took away to long. If you want to enjoy your dinning experience go down the street after playing golf here. It is a shame to because the club had been known for great service, but it has fallen way bellow par.

I pass this course quite often, played there years ago and was disappointed that I couldn't golf. I forget about this course actually. Anyway, as my group finished golf and arrived for lunch most said the grounds were as hard as a rock, not in good shape and I should be glad not to have golfed that day. Hmm. They all said no more golf outings there. In all fairness, it is the first week of Spring and maybe it just needs more time since the season is just starting. Nonetheless...they were very disappointed. On a good note, the 20 of us sat on the outside covered patio and had a really good lunch. I wasn't expecting much based on the bad reviews of the course therefore I was quite surprised just how good the food was at their restaurant. My burger and fries were delicious. Cooked exactly as requested. The chicken cheesesteak was a huge sandwich and filled with a generous amount of chicken. Two could easily share that. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. Only one mishap...they ran out of fries! Substituted onion rings. Normally, that would be a good thing however, the onion rings looked awful. Skinny and overdone, more fried breading then onion...not the good kind of onion rings. Glad I was last to get the fries otherwise my review would be less stars. The quesadilla, salads and other meals also looked very good and generous portions. Our service was friendly and timly. I can see going back for lunch at some point to dine outside on a nice day. Not sure about the golf? I was fluctuating between 3 and 4 stars bc 3.5 would be my pick however, I just can't do 4 stars...hopefully next time. And I will try the restaurant again...probably one of the better restaurants in that area.

But what happened on hole 9 crossed every imaginable line. While playing, 15-20 flares were suddenly being fired off nearby. Naturally concerned, we went to ask Superintendent Todd what was going on. He approaches us -- flare gun still in hand like some Wild West cowboy with a revolver -- and instead of explaining, the first words out of his mouth were: "Go fuck yourselves." He then proceeded to insult us, telling us that we "suck at golf" and that it "doesn't really matter anyway." According to him, he didn't realize this was "that important" to us. Well Todd -- maybe it is that important after we've spent thousands of dollars at this course over the years. Just because this isn't Augusta doesn't mean patrons deserve to be treated like garbage. For a superintendent -- someone whose paycheck exists because of people like us -- this level of arrogance, unprofessionalism, and flat-out disrespect is beyond words. Heritage Golf Club should seriously evaluate who they have representing their facility. To management and ownership: this is not a minor complaint. This is a reflection of a toxic culture you are allowing to exist at your club. If your superintendent thinks this is an acceptable way to treat paying, loyal customers, then your leadership has failed. This review will not be the last place this story is shared. To other golfers: spend your money somewhere else. There are plenty of excellent courses that would gladly welcome your business without berating you and treating you like second-class citizens. However, the staff (excluding the cart kids) are the worst I've experienced in years. The gentleman at check in desk was bothered that we wanted to pay money to play the course. The other gentleman acting as the starter was annoyed when we looped around to play our second nine (that we booked and paid for ahead of time). Here's a tip, you run a customer based business; don't treat your customers like it's their privilege to play your course. I would rather play a course that values its customers. The kids working the carts were hard working and very polite. The starter was an older man with a beard, he should work the carts with the kids to learn something.
