It is absolutely worth every penny and you get so much more in comparison to the other head spas in Vegas. I did my research before booking. I decided to check out Fairy Shampoo Spa because I love hair spas and this one had more offerings for body treatments as well. I got the fairy pamper me paradise package which was a 2 hour full body massage with hair spa treatment. The setup was better than I've seen anywhere else. It is a full massage table on top of the shampoo bowl and a pedicure bowl. After they massage your back, you flip over and they remove the bottom portion of the bed to put your feet in the pedicure bowl in a warm water bath. Then they begin your hair wash as you receive the rest of your massage. They did also massage my face with oil and washed it for me into the bowl which was a new experience. I was a little nervous about that but it felt nice and didn't feel claustrophobic at all. Overall this was a very relaxing experience however I really didn't enjoy the smell of the hair products that they used and had to wash my hair again when I got home to get rid of the smell. read more

Then it's on to an intensive scalp shampoo, conditioner and more back massage with hot stones. After, more massage on the legs. They have other services as well from head to toe (nails, lashes, etc...). honestly, their price is not so bad. No thank you! Not even if this was the last blowout place in town. Horrendous! I needed my hair done for an event. Naturally, I turned to Yelp to help me find a good place. I found Fairy Shampoo and picked them based on their favorable reviews and all five stars. I chose an upgraded spa package for my hair. It cost $85, so it wasn't cheap but it was supposed to include extra massage and treatments for my hair which I thought would be nice and relaxing. Unfortunately, the experience was not at all what these reviews lead me to believe... So get this... I was lead to this weird dark area that was sectioned off with curtains. They laid me all the way down flat on my back with my hair dangled over a sink. They begin the treatment and soon I realized that this was not going to be a relaxing service in any sense of the word. The woman they matched me with was rough with both the massage and the washing of my hair. I have fine/thin hair and started worrying that I wouldn't have much hair to style once we were through. Even worse, I had no idea what was going on because they didn't tell me what was happening during the treatment, so I was in the dark, both literally and figuratively. Usually, when you are having a service done, they explain what is happening so you have some idea of what is going on. Not this place! At one point during the treatment I felt something tickling me on my arm. I opened my eyes only to see this woman leaning over me trying to talk to me but I couldn't hear her over the loud sound of rushing of the water. When I opened my eyes, water got into my eyes and I was somewhat blinded. Startled, I told her, "I cannot hear you!" but still she tried saying whatever it was she was saying. So friggin weird! I still have no idea what that woman wanted. Eventually she went away. Then the person doing my treatment began talking to someone else that worked there during my entire treatment. The woman who was washing my hair had nails and she started scratching my scalp and massaging me in the worst possible way. Nothing felt good. It was annoying. No skill at massage or gentleness. It was as at this part I started thinking top myself that WOW they really put me with someone who has no clue what they are doing and this sucks! Either that or maybe I should start looking for cameras as surely I am being Punked. I've had a lot of massages and spa treatments in my life and this one ranks as the worst ever. I tried to stay positive and hope that at the very least perhaps this treatment will be good for my hair and my hair will look nice afterwards. I could not have been more wrong! They finished whatever they were doing to my hair in the shampoo bowl area and then move me over to this blow dry area. She attempted a half ass blowout which consisted of her wiggling the blow dryer around my head. It felt like I was playing dress up and someone's child was pretending to do my hair. That level of skill. I'm serious here. I question whether the person doing my service even had a cosmetology license. Not to mention, she barely spoke English. Communicating with her was nearly impossible. The final straw was when she pulled out the curling iron and was about to use it on my damp hair. I was DONE! Like hell to the NOOO! At that point, I realized that I had wasted my time and money and I had better get home so I could do it myself as it was definitely not going to happen at this place. I left without getting what I paid for. That's how bad it was! I realized there would be no communicating my way out of this situation I was in since the lady couldn't speak English and didn't understand what I was telling her so it was pointless to try and explain that you absolutely do not put a curling iron on wet hair. I am sure that you would learn that in cosmetology school but like I said, I highly doubt she was licensed. I paid these thieves and left feeling cheated. I should have just left without paying but I never do that. In this instance, it was probably warranted though. This felt like a total scam. Trust me when I say, do not waste your time here. If you have had a normal blowout in your life, you will know better right away that this is not the place!!! Not sure how they got all these favorable reviews in the first place. Highly suss! Somebody needed to write this review and tell it like it really is. Sorry not sorry. If I can save anyone from the ripoff hair nightmare this Fairy Shampoo Spa was for me then this review will have been worth it. read more

I booked my appointment on Yelp for the Zen Package. They sent me a confirmation text to follow up. They are located in a tucked away little strip mall, and there is plenty of parking. You enter into the nail salon, but the shampoo spa is its own separate area. They have a private changing area with lockers and spa towel wraps for you to change into. I'm 5'11 and curvy, and the towel wraps covered me just fine. As soon as you lay down on the table the experience begins. PURE BLISS. I had the best experience! My therapist, Christina, took really care of me. She checked in many times to make sure that I was comfortable. Save your pennies to make this a part of your self care. Great experience! My husband and I came on a Friday afternoon for our appointments. It's a new business right next to the nail and lash salon. It's clean, beautiful, and relaxing! Note: If you are wanting the whole Japanese head spa treatment where they look at your scalp before and after, this is not the place for you! They don't have that device here. I didn't ask because it wasn't something I wanted. Check out Tea Scalp if that's what you want. My husband had Olivia and I had Megan (I requested them thanks to these fantastic Yelp reviews). We were the only two appointments at the time and they places us a few seats away from each other, which I didn't mind. We both did the Zen package, INCREDIBLE! Upon entering, you put your personal belongings in a tiny locker (you keep the key) and change into their slippers and super soft coverup. I left my bra on, just tucked my straps under the coverup. My massage started with a manual roller massager and a face massage with rose oil. It smelled amazing, but I could see how if you're extremely sensitive to smells or have very sensitive skin that this might not be the place for you. The highlight of my massage was when she put on these special water-activated gloves! As she dipped her gloved hands in water, they became VERY warm, then she would massage my neck and scalp. It felt soooo good!! Those gloves were wilddd! Unforgettable and so cool! Part of the Zen package is a leg and arm massage too - so worth it! Our hair was blow dried at the end, not styled. Megan saw how frizzy my hair was naturally so she put some hair serum in mine, which was so thoughtful! My hair is super silky soft right now and I love it! Tip these ladies well, they deserve it! I don't usually like to leave bad review, however, I was gravely injured and feel the need to share, a few weeks ago I went with my friend to get the hair wash therapy and facial. According to my friend her treatment was amazing. So I'm speaking solely on my experience. The establishment was also clean and pleasant so no complaints there. 1st off my person had a bracelet on her left hand so every time she washes my hair or face, her bracelet scratches me. 2nd, when she applied the face mask on me, the very first second it started stinging and I voiced my concerns to her. She nonchalantly continued to apply more face mask on me, until I had to stop her and tell her sternly to help me wash it all off, my face was burning!! She did wash it off but does nothing else about it. I had to ask for a cold towel for my face as it was burning up and red during the hair drying process. My friend's technician proceeds to tell us, for future we can request for other types of less abrasive mask. To our surprise as we were not presented with that option in the first place. After going home, my face swelled up even more, so badly that my eyes were almost swollen shut. I wouldn't return for future treatments. read more

I will update again in a few days after my appointment! Where do I even start? I came here today with my friend for my birthday. We booked the enrichment package. It included the head massage as well as facial and upper arm/shoulder massage, and a blowout (different from blow dry) at the end. When you first get there they give you a towel "dress" to change into and you go to your spot. I have seen many good reviews about the person who did my massage so maybe she was just rushing, idk. But it was the most aggressive and uncomfortable massage I have ever gotten. The pressure was deep, which was fine, but the speed was so fast that it left no time for my body to even feel good, if that makes sense. The facial was very basic. Wash, mask, moisturize. Maybe a 2 minute massage. I think my head massage was non-existent. She washed my hair multiple times and used what felt like a scalp brush. But it was just over and over in the same spots that it almost started to hurt. She did push down along the middle of my head and on my temples, but that's about it. I kept waiting thinking that the head massage must be coming soon. But nope. More than half of my service was just roughly rubbing my shoulders and arms. When I was finished I got changed and went into the room for my blowout. I have curly hair.. so this was important. I can't just do a regular blow dry or I'll look like I got electrocuted. I'm waiting for her to come back (she was grabbing me some tea) and I see a dirty brush with hair still in it sitting on the counter. She comes in, removes the hair with her hand, and starts brushing my hair with it. Gross. Then starts blow drying my hair. I'm like ok maybe she's just gunna dry it a bit and then do the blow out. Then she says ok all done. I mentioned we booked the blow out, not the blow dry. She said ok but didn't have time so she asked the lady who serviced my friend to do both of our blow outs. By the time she finished my friends blowout my hair was dry. So she comes to do my blowout. First of all, she used the same brush she just used on my friend. And second, obviously the blowout didn't work. My hair was still poofy and curled in some areas. I asked if she could go over it with a flat iron and she did... but it was not great. Not her fault at all though. After speaking with my friend about her experience it seems it was completely different than mine.
