Top two are after and bottom two are before. Look at that build up and the squeaky clean difference!

I got the hair damage scalp treatment. Katie was my guide to relaxation and she was amazing. The pressure of the massage was just right and her demeanor was calming. The scalp analysis was cool! So weird to see a part of my body up close and gross lol. During the consultation, another client was loudly on the phone. And at some point during the initial neck/shoulder rub, there was a bunch of loud laughter. Not a biggie, but the general feel of the place is supposed to be relaxing. I saw my girl, Katie, shoot some looks and the quiet calm returned. No fault of the bar but I'm below average height (4'10.5"), so the massage chair wasn't always comfortable. My ankles landed around where the thighs would be. The after shots of my scalp were satisfying. This was a little treat myself for my bday and I'm happy I did!

Your latest response continues to misrepresent what I said and now adds dismissiveness toward a legitimate discrimination concern. Let me be absolutely clear one final time: I NEVER said I had "never been charged it before." Quote me exactly where I said that. You can't, because I didn't. I said I was charged on my first visit but didn't notice until I got home. On my second visit, I specifically asked to skip the blow-dry TO AVOID being charged again. Your claim that you "pulled up my previous appointment" confirms exactly what I said - I WAS charged before. So why are you claiming I said I wasn't? Regarding the blow-dry: I asked Sara to skip it. She said it was "already included" and insisted on doing a partial blow-dry so I could finish at home. Your camera footage apparently shows she used a blow dryer exactly as I described. I never claimed she "fully skipped" it. I said I ASKED her to skip it to avoid the charge, and she did a partial job because according to her, I was being charged regardless (it was included). Now you claim the surcharge is "not optional" and based on a "professional evaluation" during the initial assessment. But neither Nikkia nor Sara discussed this evaluation or charge with me before services began. That's the entire problem. If this charge is truly non-optional based on your professional assessment, you have an obligation to inform clients verbally during consultation and obtain their CONSENT before proceeding. Let's also address your claim about "different levels of care." We're talking about a HAIR WASHING service - shampooing, conditioning, and a scalp treatment with massage. This isn't complex styling, cutting, coloring, or heat styling that would genuinely vary significantly by hair type. The service I received included: shampooing, conditioning, lavender oil scalp massage (which is included in your base service), and additional nourishing products that I PAID AN EXTRA $40 for on top of the $100 base price. So any "extra product usage" was already charged separately. There was no additional detangling required for my hair. Your "different levels of care" argument doesn't hold up when the service is fundamentally the same for everyone washing and conditioning hair and when premium products are charged separately anyway. Your statement that this is "not tied to race or appearance" rings hollow when: * The charge is subjectively applied by cosmetologists based on visual assessment * You admit "every person's hair requires different levels of care" and "it will not be the same for everyone" * The criteria keep changing in your responses (length, texture, density, detangling, product usage, blow-dry time, "overall work required") * Clients are not informed verbally before services begin You claim your pricing is "clearly posted" and "applied consistently," yet your own stylists don't consistently communicate it, and your explanations change with every review response. That's not consistency, that's arbitrary application. The fact that I didn't object to the charge on my first visit doesn't make your practice acceptable. Many people don't check their receipts carefully or don't want to cause a scene at checkout. That doesn't excuse charging people without informed consent. Your dismissal of discrimination concerns by saying "what is not appropriate is turning this into an accusation of discrimination" is exactly the problem. When a business applies subjective surcharges based on hair type without transparent communication, and those charges disproportionately affect certain clients, questioning whether discrimination is occurring is absolutely appropriate. I'm done engaging with responses that misrepresent what I've said. My position is clear: your business charges subjective surcharges without obtaining informed verbal consent during consultation, and that is unethical regardless of what's on your website or intake forms.

    The final look.

I was skeptical. I've never been to a scout bar before. Sara and Edith were super nice and polite. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door by the concierge. They had soft music playing, which was very relaxing. We were told what was gonna be happening and walk through everything step-by-step the entire time. The massage was minimal on our neck and back. We were hoping for a little bit longer, but it was fine because we got massage beds to lay on while our scouts for being massaged. The water was the right temperature. She asked if everything was feeling OK throughout. They didn't try and push products on us. They were complementing us. They were very gentle with us as well. Made us feel like royalty. Definitely going to go back again. They also do Groupon discounts and package deals as well. Great for gifts.

Wonderful service start to finish. Open area in the front as they check your scalp with a camera and then they do a essential oil treatment, neck and shoulder massage to get you relaxed. Then they do a oil scalp massage. It is a calm, relaxing, and peaceful space. Once the oil treatment is done they bring you to a private room in the back. Before I began my scalp specialist double checked all ingredients in al the products to insure there was no gluten or coconut. Multiple steps and types of hair treatments are done. I laied down in an amazing full body massage chair from shoulders to toes I felt like a new person. They dont explain the process unless you ask and I just enjoyed the experience and asked as she was drying my hair what products were used and how often to come back. She get a treatment once a month but works there ;). For our buy one get one half off galintines day special it was well worth the 90 minutes of heaven. We will be back in about 6 months.

Henderson! Let this be your sign to treat yourself to a much-needed head spa! This was my second scalp treatment (my first was at Tea Spa), and Scalp Bar is just as amazing--only bigger, with more amenities. I loved that they have private rooms, which makes the whole experience feel super relaxing and personal. One thing that sets them apart is their dedicated hair wash stations. You don't have to book a full head spa to get a blowout--they've made it convenient to just come in for styling if you want. Kinda like Drybar's. Huge shout-out to Alika, who gave me the most beautiful blowout! She was so sweet and attentive, and I walked out feeling like I should be in a hair modeling gig. Ask for her!! If you've been thinking about trying a scalp spa in Henderson, Scalp Bar definitely delivers.

Such an amazing self-care/pampering spot!!! I had Katie and she put it as a facial for your scalp...and that it was! I meant to take pics of everything but literally only got a photo of my scalp before and after LOL the gunk was removed and it was beyond clean plus shiny after. You walk in and instantly feel it's a high end spa. They sit you down where they get to know more about you and your needs then take you to an individual room where you're in a massage bed while you get your treatment and I thought it was the best part of when you get your hair done (the wash and massage that lasts 5 seconds) but it was the entire time!! I fell asleep a few times. Amazing and so relaxing I will definitely come again!! If you're thinking about going, just do it!

I was very disappointed at checkout today when I learned they have a surcharge for textured hair. This was my 3rd visit & I've never been charged extra for my hair type, I was not made aware of this when my appointment was booked and no one compensated me after admitting it was their mistake. I'll never be back due to feeling uncomfortable. To me "textured hair" means BLACK HAIR & that's not OK. *Alika was great and super sweet*

We found this place because of a bogo 50% off deal but were super impressed for the value. We paid $50 more at other places in town but this place makes it feel manageable to do on a more regular basis. The person who worked on my hair was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. The massage was super calming and my hair felt like silky for days. We will definitely be back for another appointment in the near future. The vibe is super chill and quiet for those looking to relax and unwind.

My hair is so smooth and light after my treatment!!

Sometimes you're in the mood for a relaxing day and the Scalp Bar will provide you just that! I booked an appointment online and was seen by my stylist, Niki. She was so sweet, easy conversation and had great touch with my hair. I booked the basic treatment - which is now $100 - and added on the chroma gloss ($11) + longer than waist length hair ($25, not advertised on their menu and I'm not sure if my hair goes past my waist..). The process is pretty uniform to other appointments I've had here. They greet you, sit you down to talk about your hair/any concerns, go over options and take you back for the wash and scalp massage. I'm pretty sure I doze off every time during these.. they're just so relaxing! To finish off the appointment, they'll make you some hot tea or bring water, blow dry your hair and you are off to take on the day. There are a few things different than when they first opened: 1. prices have increased just a bit (basic which was $85 is now $100), 2. they have a loyalty card (though I'm not sure if they advertise or offer it to customers often) and 3. it looks like they offer more products to buy in store (they even have a case full of Nutrafol and cold drinks like coconut water in a mini fridge). I really do appreciate that they have your service card filled out and ready for you to complete when you arrive; it's a simple thing that makes the customer coming in feel appreciated and seen. It was quieter on this late Monday morning but I think that vibe is more fitting especially if you want a slower start to your morning. Thank you Niki, my hair feels oh so smooth and looks like a dreammm!!

The Scalp Bar in Las Vegas, where do I start!!? This premier head spa provided the upmost relaxation, rejuvenation, and pampering!! They use premium Kérastase products to cleanse, nourish, and revitalize the scalp and hair. I indulged in the Deluxe Scalp Experience, the chroma gloss, and a hot tool style thanks to my Valentine for such an amazing gift. The deluxe experience is a 90-minute, multi-sensory treatment designed for deep relaxation, including a detailed scalp analysis, hydrating pre-shampoo oil treatment, nano steam therapy, and hyaluronic under-eye patches. It's an immersive, quiet escape to relieve tension and revitalize you, and it did that and more!! Celeste was amazing! She made the whole experience top notch with her expertise, professionalism, and exemplary customer service.

I loved the experience. I went in with a dry, hurting scalp and felt so much relief after. I was recommend a product to take home that soothes my scalp as well and love it. Julie was great! The experience was truly relaxing, informative and felt luxurious. I loved the tea with the rock candy so much. Thank you! I will be back

I was visiting Vegas and decided to try this place out via a GROUPON! Oh my gosh! My best friend and I were spoiled! We were able to get appointments the next day. The ladies working here were so kind, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. My best friend and I received scalp treatments at the same Time. It was soooooo relaxing that I fell asleep. I would come back on-a weekly basis, if I lived here! Our hair looked amazing after our treatment and was so soft! Thank you so much!!

She fluctuates so well and is just a super kind and gentle person. In addition the head massages she gives are amazing. I am autistic and I have sensory issues up the wazoo that I can't have people touch me for long periods of time or even (3 seconds sometimes) like a massage, especially my scalp and you can imagine how tense I am if I never get the kinks and tension massaged out. For some reason, Jessica just does it right. I melt into her hands and she gives perfect pressure, she gets all the good spots, and keeps the water warm (if you like it warm). I also love the eucalyptus or water hot towel that's done at the end, so refreshing. I literally walk out the salon confident, sexy, and in a haze because I'm massage drunk and relaxed. Skip the spa and go see Jessica .... Or dont so I can have her all to myself

This was our third visit, and once again, both my husband and I were really happy with our…read morehaircuts. I tend to write more detailed reviews about hair salons because my hair has always been a big deal for me. I have very curly, frizzy, coarse hair that tends to puff up and look much fuller than it actually is. It is definitely not the kind of curly hair that naturally falls into pretty, defined curls. Without blow-drying or straightening, it can get very unruly and hard to manage. I have been dealing with this hair for decades, so I have had more haircuts, blowouts, straightening treatments, and salon visits than I can count. Because of that, I can usually tell when someone really understands how to work with difficult curly hair. I wore short hair when I was younger, but after a bad experience, I avoided it for decades. About six months to a year ago, I decided to try a bob again. At first, I felt like the only way I could really manage it was by getting a straightening treatment about every six months. Since I also color my hair, I did not want to keep combining coloring and chemical straightening because of the damage it can cause over time. I decided to keep coloring my hair and stop the straightening treatments. Once more of my natural curl started growing back, though, the bob became harder and harder for me to manage. I was honestly starting to think I might have to give up on short hair and grow it out again. That was around the time I found this salon. What has impressed me most is how much easier my bob has been to manage since coming here, even without going back to regular straightening treatments. I am not especially skilled at styling my own hair, but after shampooing, I can now blow-dry and straighten it at home much more easily. The cut itself makes a huge difference. It also grows out really well, which is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. -- What really stands out to me is how well Risa listens. -- At every visit, she takes the time to ask how my previous haircut worked for me, what I liked, and whether there is anything I would like to change. I really appreciate that she listens to my feedback instead of simply repeating the same cut. I loved the shape of my last bob, but the back had been cut very short with clippers. Because my hair is coarse and pretty stiff, those very short hairs felt uncomfortable against the back of my neck as they grew out. Since I had not worn my hair this short in decades, I simply did not know my hair would react that way. I mentioned it to Risa, and this time she adjusted the cut and used mainly scissors and thinning shears instead of cutting the back so closely with clippers. I really appreciated that she listened to both what I liked about the previous cut and what I wanted changed. Most importantly, I love my bob again. The shape is clean, balanced, flattering, and very easy for me to manage. I also enjoyed the shampoo service. The brief scalp massage felt really relaxing and refreshing, and the salon itself always has a calm, comfortable atmosphere. My husband had his haircut again too, and his cut came out clean and polished, just like the previous visits. After three visits, it definitely does not feel like we simply got lucky once. The results have been consistently good for both of us. For me, a haircut that grows out well and stays manageable for two or three months, sometimes close to four, is absolutely worth the investment. Being able to maintain my bob this easily without relying on regular straightening treatments makes it even more valuable. That is why I keep coming back, and why I take the time to leave reviews. After our third visit, I feel even more confident recommending Risa.

For me it was about $80 for a wolf cut and $600 for a full bleach and colors for me. I only did the haircut for now, as the color price was way too much out of my budget. After the message, I did the booking online at their website, which was pretty simple to do, and the deposit was only $30. I came in and was greeted by someone right away and led to the back to get a robe on over my clothes and then right away to the shampooing station. Then hop on to the salon chair. I showed my stylist the inspo pictures I wanted, and he got to cutting right away. Now, I'm painfully shy, and I've usually been to other salons where everyone is talking and the stylists are chatty, but here it is super quiet. So it wasn't a good salon for me, as I find it hard to speak up unless spoken to first, but everyone was nice, and the haircut was fine and pretty fast. If you want a quick and quiet haircut for a decent price, I would go here.

I thought I could get away with not marking the long hair bc it's an extra $10 but that's okay. I needed to treat myself dammit! When we were ready we were directed over to chairs where we were told to remove any necklaces or jewelry that would get in the way and a basket was given to us to store our belongings. We walked over to the hair wash stations and laid down. The lighting was dim and music was calm. It was thee place to chill us out! I hadn't washed my hair in 3 days and I was long overdue for a wash! The lady who took care of me was gentle and asked how the water temp and pressure was. She was cautious with the comb, too. I didn't experience any tugging or tangling. The lady lather rinsed and repeated and she would apply extra pressure around my scalp which felt nice. Afterwards, a warm towel was placed over my eyes. The lady began to massage my head and neck, moved me to the left and then over to the right. I wanted to fall asleep bc I was relaxed and at ease. When the washing and massage time was up, our hair was wrapped up and we were brought over to the drying area. We were given another massage that involved our neck, upper back and shoulders. We were given tea and a cookie and we sat under hands free hairdryer which was so cool! Like I can use both my hands to help dry my hair?! So innovative! So efficient! Like I want one for myself now! The lady asked us if we needed any hair products to dry our hair but they didn't have my root lift serum. My hair dried fast and I was able to sip my tea and destress. Yasss. Overall, it was a great "treat yo self" experience. The lady who helped me was kind and gentle, the service was great and our scalps felt clean and our hair smelled good! Reasonably priced for Vegas! I would definitely come back again and do the scalp analysis session if ever I'm in the area again.

I have fine, curly, thinning hair and Nikki somehow makes it work. It's always fun catching up on life and both new and old Aveda products. My husband is also a client, first of Turner (miss you!) and later Nikki. Appointments are convenient, customer service is stellar, products are always in stock, and the raffles/sales are fun...shout out to Stephanie! If only we could talk the owners into a full service salon (face, nails, body treatments) because they clearly seem to know how to run a business!! Thanks for representing Aveda and making it our first and only salon since moving to Vegas!

I genuinely do not understand how this salon has such high ratings…read more As a first-time client, I arrived 15 minutes early for my 2:00 p.m. appointment. My "senior stylist," Evelyn, wasn't available until 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. During that wait, I was offered water once, but I repeatedly had to ask how much longer it would be because the staff kept saying "soon" without giving me any actual estimate. When the appointment finally started, I showed Evelyn a reference photo and clearly explained my daily hair routine. I told her I don't use styling products, don't heat style my hair, and simply wash it and let it air dry. Instead of cutting my hair to suit that lifestyle, she used texturizing products and spent a significant amount of time styling it. I even mentioned that I would never recreate that styling at home because it isn't part of my routine. The finished haircut looked nothing like the reference photo. At the time, the heavy styling disguised just how bad the cut actually was. The salon gave me a $20 new-client discount, and I specifically told them to apply that amount toward the stylist's tip. Instead, they processed a separate $21.18 tip. While it's not the biggest issue in this experience, it was not what I authorized. The real disaster became apparent after I washed my hair at home. The styling products had been hiding an incredibly poor haircut. The layers are uneven and completely unblended. There are obvious chunks of hair missing, and the entire cut sits lopsided. It is nothing like what I requested or what I was shown in the mirror after it had been heavily styled. I'm now left with a haircut that is genuinely embarrassing to wear and will likely require another stylist to spend months correcting. Between the excessive wait, poor communication, unauthorized tip charge, and one of the worst haircuts I've ever received, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. I absolutely cannot recommend this salon.
