I have used Faith Moving Company twice. The movers themselves were kind, courteous and professional. They worked hard. I used the company because they were cheap. That being said, this is not a professional moving company. Unfortunately... you get what you pay for. In the course of the move, my washing machine was dropped & dented; my brand-new hardwood floors got scratched twice; a $400 mirror was broken. When I reached out to Jason to relay the damage and see next steps, I was ghosted. We set up two appointments for him to come to my house and he didn't show up. Do you like stressful situations? Do you like being stood up by a professional company after confirming your appt time? Do you like people who make promises that they cannot and will not keep? Do you enjoy blowing up a cell phone just to be ignored? If the answer is "no", then Faith Moving Company is NOT for you. I learned a horrible lesson today, thanks to this foolish ass company. I thought I would give this company the benefit of the doubt, (support small business and all). Lol, it's really laughable at this point. I asked for and received a quote on Friday. I needed a simple in-house move that Jason (the owner), confirmed would be $125. We agreed on Saturday morning to a Sunday appt time window of 8:30-9:00 in the morning. Saturday night came and I tried to call Jason just to ensure he would show up. No answer. So I sent a text. No response. Hmmmm Sunday morning, I wake up and check my phone- Nothing, not one single response from him. So begins my journey..... I called, I texted, I emailed, I sent pigeons, I used Morse code, I used flare guns- NOTHING. Finally, at 8:52am, he wrote and said "let me check on where they (the movers) are at." My head fell in shame. My heart sank at that message. Did he call me? No. Did he text me? No. So I called him, I texted him 9:30 came and left. He told me he was in church so he would have his assistant call me. Yeah..... it never happened. His assistant clearly doesn't exist and he was just throwing anything out. No one called. Now I'm panicking. See, here is the kicker- I was moving the furniture that I was selling and the soon to be buyer was already on their way to get the furniture. (From out of state) I called, I texted- NOTHING. So..... I begged. Ooooo weee, honey child, I begged this man to call me or tell me what was going on. He assured me "Even if I have to come myself, I will move you today." That was so sweet and I saw some hope, things might be looking up, right? Hell to the no!!!! IT. WAS. A. LIE So I called and emailed and texted and finally- he answered. (Cue the angels singing) he told me he was coming, his GPS said he was "45 minutes to an hour away." The time read 11:36am. Hope filled my heart, I breathed a sigh of relief, my palms stopped sweating. He was on his way- thank you Jesus!! But then 12:30 came, 1:00 came, 1:30 came. Nope, he never showed and I never heard from him again. Don't worry, another moving company saved the day. Faith Moving Company- their slogan should be: "Where you need to have faith if they will even show up." On another note: Jason- Do not respond to this review with some bullshit "We are sorry this happened blah blah blah, we had issues and an emergency blah blah blah. NONE of that changes the fact that you left a customer hanging and didn't have the DECENCY to call, email or something to apologize. So don't reach out now to save face on this review. read more

I would give zero star if it was possible. The owner Jason confirmed a schedule for my unload the day before. I arrived at my destination address and called Jason to confirm if he is on schedule. Jason did not answer his phone after repeated attempts which resulted in unloading all cargo by myself as it was later in the evening. He did not have the courtesy to call me later or initiate any communication to offer his apologies. I HIGHLY recommend to stay AWAY from Faith as they are unreliable. The boys who moved us were as sweet as can be, but this business is not a professional moving company. It's more like a side business that happens to be run by a church. The company was very responsive with any questions and my complaints however the guys did not treat our furniture well. They were tired and hurrying, rightfully so when you only have two men for a 4 bedroom house which I stated in the request for quote. Several pieces of furniture were damaged, anywhere from small scratches to chips of wood coming off. Two of those pieces were of sentimental value which was communicated. Upon unloading at the new house they were careless and took out the hallway light with the mattress, now I have to run to Lowes to replace it. A fault of mine was not reporting it to the manager that day, it was communicated to the movers though. The same day I was sent an invoice, I was still in the process of cleaning and did not immediately address it. Next day a reminder "we still haven't received payment" email was sent. At that point I took photos of the damaged items and sent to managment. I received a stern email back with wording "Good Evening, First of all we want to apologize for any damages during the move. I will apply a discount of $50 towards the bill and waive the late fee. But per our contract you guys didn't apply for the insurance or mention to the movers or office any damages on site so we are technically not responsible for anything that happened. Sent the email and contract to our lawyer who also didn't find us at fault. Please pay your invoice before 7pm today to avoid any more fees such as court cost, late fees and lawyer fee which on average run from $500-$1,000. Once again we apologize for the damages during the move." - that is the email we received. I am not upset with the guys who moved us. I'm upset with their management and the 95 an hour they charge for services I could have gotten from kids down the street in terms of their moving professionalism. read more

Had a move scheduled for June 30@9 am, movers never showed up. I should have known better when instead of receiving a contract confirmation of services I was sent a invoice to pay but nothing else. When I contacted Jason, the "owner" about that and he said that his movers would bring the contract the morning of the move, go figure, you wanted me to pay in advance with no proof of what I was paying for, I don't think so. I texted Jason the night before to confirm, but he didn't respond, I should have known something was wrong then, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt because he seemed like a nice enough guy when we spoke on the phone. However the next morning I waited at my storage unit for almost 50 minutes before I decided to cut my losses and go rent a Uhaul myself before the forecasted rain caught up to me(no such luck, we were rained on). So three texts and 2 phone calls later to Faith Movers, I picked up my oldest son to help me, my teen daughter and other teen son move into my house. I did receive a text from Jason 5 hours later saying this hiccup had never happened before...I doubt it. Very disappointed! Update to reply to Jason- I'm sorry Jason but maybe you don't remember we discussed the whole deposit thing... I asked for a detailed contract of the services that we were agreeing to because all you sent me was an invoice to pay but no list of said agreement and when I told you I didn't feel comfortable sending hundreds of dollars with no contract or no explanation of what I was paying for you said your guys would bring it on the move date and I could pay then. I have moved myself 8 times in 11 years (school and work relocations). This time it would be my final move, and I refused to lift a finger. I was looking for movers 2 days before my move on a Sunday. I had two companies call me back same day. Jason was willing to move me at a reasonable price. They were a little late but were always in communication with me. Run! Run! Run! Do not hire! If I could give him a zero (0) I would!! I had to deal with a man named Jason and he made this the worst moving experience of my life. He claims to be a minister but will hustle your time and drag out the move to extort you!! And will try to It took him and another guy ELEVEN (11) hours to move my 2 bedroom apartment a mile up the road to my new 2 bedroom apartment that was only a mile away and he tried to charge me $1000!!!!! The experience was so bad that he begged me not to make a review because he didn't want for it to get out how he does business. When I made my review on Thumbstack, he responded rudely, calling me a liar and saying that my only issue was because of the money... and threatened to sue me for slander. Jason, I know you're reading this, I have the texts, pictures and witnesses, the truth is not slander, and like the old saying says, a hit dog hollers. Jason is going to respond to this and say that I only complained when it came time to pay... yes because he was crazy to think that I was going to pay him when he and his partner dragged their tails just to extort more time! Jason even went as far as to say that there was no place to put my things, in an empty apartment!! My old apartment and the new apartment are around the same square footage, just a different layout. They were unprofessional and Jason made excuses for everything. He'll probably respond to this with the same excuses he gave me, even told me it was my fault and that I should have said more when they were taking so long. I had a move scheduled with this company and had decided to go with them, over other reputable companies, because they claimed to be "faith-based". Against my better judgment from their other reviews, I made an appointment for 10am. I sat and I waited. And waited. And waited. I should've known something was up when they would not send me confirmation via email, despite my constant requests. They initially said they were "Soooooo busy". But, what company isn't? If you don't have the manpower to handle the business side of a business...I always think it's a better position to hire someone who CAN or avoid doing business all together. Anyway, I waited. And waited. And waited FOUR. HOURS. LATER. They finally replied to my numerous calls (what business has a voicemail that stays full so you can't leave voice messages?) and text messages. Only to say "We're just leaving church (this was TWO HOURS AFTER OUR APPOINTMENT). Movers are on the way." An HOUR later they text me (still not answering my calls) to say "We're having issues with our truck." I continued to call and text and got NO replies. Keep in mind, my appointment was at 10am. I'd been sitting and waiting since that time, not wanting to miss them. This is the most unprofessional group business I've ever had the misfortune of encountering. I looked at a previous review and saw that they tried to blame it on the customer by saying they never showed up because a deposit wasn't paid. I'm sure they'll try to pull the same ridiculousness after my review, too. But, it comes down to this: The customer, the one who had been communicating with them for over a week about this move, has been sitting and waiting for HOURS, based on our prior commitment and agreement. I'm so disappointed because I took off from work today to handle this and have basically lost an entire day. Someone from the company text me (AGAIN) saying they would give me a discount if they could "do this first thing tomorrow morning". But I work tomorrow and what gives me any thought that they'll actually show up and do what they were supposed to do today? IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A MOVING COMPANY AND ARE WONDERING IF THIS IS THE ONE...RUN FAR AND FAST.
