I decided to look elsewhere. Searching high and low for GOOD photographers with nice portfolios at prices that weren't obscene was a difficult task. And then I found Sondra! Her prices for a wedding (as of Autumn of 2012) included the engagement session as well as 10 hours on the day and didn't charge a travel fee (she was coming from 90minutes or so away). Amazing. And REASONABLE. We did pay a touch extra for high resolution images to keep (as opposed to those sized best for snapshot-sized prints) and a print release. We haven't yet ordered our large prints through Sondra, but do plan to. Her pricing there is very competitive. On the day, there were a few shots that I really wanted that she didn't get, but looking back I feel that perhaps I didn't vocalize these desires quite enough. However, there is barely evidence of my mother at the reception, and only 1 less-than-grand shot of me walking down the aisle and that did make me sad (and is largely why it's 4 and not 5 stars). Sondra was GREAT, however, as sliding in unnoticed to capture very candid photos for a modern, photojournalistic approach to wedding photography. I would wholeheartedly recommend Sondra to anyone in Wisconsin looking for an event photographer. She's really lovely to work with and the photos are beautiful as well.

We had our engagement photos done by them around the urban ecology center in Milwaukee. It was the perfect setting, rustic with flowers and trails . I loved every single picture they took. They made it so easy and comfortable as my husband isn't a huge fan of pictures but we laughed and laughed with them and it was an awesome day getting to hang with Gloria and Ron. Fast forward to 7/7/23. I couldn't have asked for better photographer/videographer, every single picture I wanted whether it be with the bridesmaids or family or my husband, they were there. We even added on an hour so we had them for a total of 8 hours. It was worth every penny and every minute to have them. We are more than grateful to have found them and chose them as our photographers. They were patient with everyone and they made everyone laugh. They captured pictures of guests mingling, dancing and just enjoying themselves. In our search to find a photographer for our wedding, we came across this company. While I was…read moreimpressed by their prices and the presentation, I was quickly turned off by their customer service. We were sent out a contract to read without a deadline as to when it was to be returned. As I was going out of town, I set it aside to be handled upon my return. When I came back from my trip abroad, I had four voice mails over the course of a week asking me about the status of the contract. I was only out of town for a week. Then, I checked my email to find a message from the photographer with CAPS used throughout the entire email explaining her annoyance that I have not returned her calls. I find it unprofessional when someone types an email with a style similar to a 14 year old. In addition, the photographer asked us if we were not getting back to her or if (this is a direct quote from the email): "date is cancelled or the really sad news that we have saved this date for you and lost out on another job and you have decided to use an unexperienced camera." First, the use of another company would be worse than our wedding being called off? Who says that to potential customers that they are still trying to sign a contract with? Second, just because we are not going with them does not mean we are incapable of finding someone just as competent. It is as if she is remarking that we too are incompetent. I would also like to add that not only is the above sentence poorly structured but the work "unexperienced" is not found in the dictionary. I am happy to say we will NOT be signing a contract with them. I hope they like my use of the CAPS. Oh, and PS, they have won an award from the Knot, which is how they pull you in. Do not be fooled by the award on the wall.

Some are in B&W and others have select items in color. There was not a family member, guest, or part of the event that was missed. One of the best things is having the ability to do whatever we want to do with the pictures. I was able to go on a web site and create a special memory book. There was no pressure at all to buy a minimum order or an album. This is a great feature. The x 2 comes in that we made a gift of this photographer and her services to our son and his wife for their wedding. I highly recommend this photographer!

The session itself was so perfect and Joanna worked magic on our unruly two-year-old to make sure we had beautiful family images. When our newborn was uncooperative/fussy near the end of our session, Joanna extended our session time to make sure we got all of the photos. We were referred to Unscripted Love Films from some other videographers who were already booked, and we're so glad we ended up with Wonya and this company. From the beginning, Wonya cared about OUR story and doing it justice. While he was two hours away in Milwaukee, he was happy to come film our day in Northwest Indiana, didn't charge for travel and worked with us to create a package and payment plan that were perfect for us. One thing we loved is how good his audio was. Some videographers just capture images, not the words, and knowing how much thought we had put into our ceremony and how much we wanted to remember the toasts from our friends and family, great audio was important to us. Then the flexiblity and courtesy just went from there. He and his wife (the second videographer) stayed longer at our reception to show us a one-minute edited video so we could see how the footage was turning out. And we got our videos SO fast after the wedding. Nothing went wrong, and everything went right. Tyler and Mary were/are such a great couple and photographers! It was the best decision to hire them and have them capturing all the special moments with their magical touch and sense of art! Weather you need a photographer to capture the spontaneous moment or help you pose, Mary and Tyler got you covered! They are the perfect team to have for any occasion/event you're celebrating or hosting! Another year later we reached out to Dream Life for our Maternity photos and Nicole just took pictures of our newborn son a week ago. Nicole really takes time to get the best shots, and works with her subjects - even a crying baby! She is a delight to work with and always delivers great pictures. Can't wait for her to take more photos of our son!
