She cleared her schedule and was able to beautifully capture my increasingly huge and more active, less sleepy infant. The preparation that went into the shoot was top notch from the heat being turned up in the studio so my baby wasn't cold to the wide variety of outfits, props, sound machine, and she even had a camping/outdoorsy background that fit our nursery theme! We BOTH felt we were in the best of care; my baby is normally fussy in the hands of strangers but Kara had a way of calming him to get all the cutest poses effortlessly, and I as a new mom was able to finally relax for a few hours. She is also a mom to two littles and was incredibly easy to talk and relate to. It was apparent she truly loves her career and genuinely cares about her customers and their family.. which is increasingly hard to find these days! I recommend her services to anyone looking for family photos; you will treasure them for decades to come.

I specifically asked what she does for lighting indoors as all her photos on her web site are outside. The church and reception photos were so bad - the backs of people's heads, no close ups at the reception, the altar in the way of the shots. The lighting was bad as she shoots without a flash and tripod. Her idea of editing was to provide a black and white and a cropped picture where people's legs are cut off. She did not position anyone in the formal shots no look through the camera to see that the groom had his jacket pulled up in all the formal church shots. Instead of sorting through the mess herself, she dumped everything on the shared drive and we had to pick the few good sots out of the hundreds of bad ones. She is NOT a wedding photographer.
