He was very relaxed which made taking pictures with him fun instead of some painstaking event. Jeff has such an eye for concept shots that our engagement pictures were absolutely impeccable, so many of our friends and family commented on the creativity behind each shot. His fun-easy going attitude carried over into our big day, which was impressive, especially considering the demand that was placed on him. We had 21 in our bridal party- including 5 little ones- 2 large immediate families and over 300 guests in attendance. The time he took to really understand the concept behind our wedding and what shots were most important to us definitely paid off! By the time our wedding day came we felt he was a guest rather than just another vendor and taking photos was so easy even with the large number of people there were to coordinate. When we look back at our photos each of them have a small story behind them and when placed all together in our beautiful designed album (also courtesy of Jeff) it takes us back to that gorgeous fall day. There are so many things you can spend money on when it comes to planning your wedding and we are so happy we decided to invest in Jeff. He's experienced, and has a backup plan for every scenario, which made us feel very confident in him. - Brian was very easy going and open to suggestions during our engagement shoot. He made us feel much less awkward than we did going in. - Our wedding day was a blast and Brian and our second shooter (Luke) went with the flow for the sudden weather changes (which made our planned outdoor locations less than ideal) and were quick to adapt for every lighting scenario in our mostly dark venue. They made everyone feel at ease, even this high-strung-but-trying-to-be-chill bride. Brian and Luke got some amazing shots and did some really awesome edits / tricks with lighting which made for some very memorable photos. (We've gotten a lot of compliments!) - We got previews of our photos and the photos themselves very quickly after the wedding (within a month we had all the photos digitally, and only a couple weeks after that we had our little highlight video). And we received a thumb drive in the mail with all our images as well. - The Video Fusion add-on is something I'm so glad we decided to do with Brian. While we didn't want to pay for a full videographer, the video fusion gave us a four minute little highlight reel to capture the joy of the day in such a cool way.

Brian was flexible and accommodating throughout! Family was running late because of snow - no problem, he popped out to see his grandmother for a bit and then came back. The surroundings in the activity room were less than glamorous - no problem, he figured out shots that did not accentuate the flowered carpet. Some family members were having trouble because of the large numbers of people in the activity room - no problem, he took pictures out in the hallway. He even hung out and ate soup after the pictures were done AND agreed to pose in a picture with my aunt (which I took and made the final cut!). Brian delivered a beautiful and thoughtful assortment of pictures that included every single family member multiple times and really captured the mood of the occasion. I am so grateful!

In our search to find a photographer for our wedding, we came across this company. While I was…read moreimpressed by their prices and the presentation, I was quickly turned off by their customer service. We were sent out a contract to read without a deadline as to when it was to be returned. As I was going out of town, I set it aside to be handled upon my return. When I came back from my trip abroad, I had four voice mails over the course of a week asking me about the status of the contract. I was only out of town for a week. Then, I checked my email to find a message from the photographer with CAPS used throughout the entire email explaining her annoyance that I have not returned her calls. I find it unprofessional when someone types an email with a style similar to a 14 year old. In addition, the photographer asked us if we were not getting back to her or if (this is a direct quote from the email): "date is cancelled or the really sad news that we have saved this date for you and lost out on another job and you have decided to use an unexperienced camera." First, the use of another company would be worse than our wedding being called off? Who says that to potential customers that they are still trying to sign a contract with? Second, just because we are not going with them does not mean we are incapable of finding someone just as competent. It is as if she is remarking that we too are incompetent. I would also like to add that not only is the above sentence poorly structured but the work "unexperienced" is not found in the dictionary. I am happy to say we will NOT be signing a contract with them. I hope they like my use of the CAPS. Oh, and PS, they have won an award from the Knot, which is how they pull you in. Do not be fooled by the award on the wall.

Excellent photography and service x 2!…read more We had our wedding done by this photographer and were very happy with the quality of the work. The special effects pictures are very nicely done. Some are in B&W and others have select items in color. There was not a family member, guest, or part of the event that was missed. One of the best things is having the ability to do whatever we want to do with the pictures. I was able to go on a web site and create a special memory book. There was no pressure at all to buy a minimum order or an album. This is a great feature. The x 2 comes in that we made a gift of this photographer and her services to our son and his wife for their wedding. I highly recommend this photographer!

When searching for a wedding photographer, I had a fairly big list of wants. Upon researching the…read moreperson we *thought* we were going to book, we found some shady dealings and legal scariness. I decided to look elsewhere. Searching high and low for GOOD photographers with nice portfolios at prices that weren't obscene was a difficult task. And then I found Sondra! Her prices for a wedding (as of Autumn of 2012) included the engagement session as well as 10 hours on the day and didn't charge a travel fee (she was coming from 90minutes or so away). Amazing. And REASONABLE. We did pay a touch extra for high resolution images to keep (as opposed to those sized best for snapshot-sized prints) and a print release. We haven't yet ordered our large prints through Sondra, but do plan to. Her pricing there is very competitive. On the day, there were a few shots that I really wanted that she didn't get, but looking back I feel that perhaps I didn't vocalize these desires quite enough. However, there is barely evidence of my mother at the reception, and only 1 less-than-grand shot of me walking down the aisle and that did make me sad (and is largely why it's 4 and not 5 stars). Sondra was GREAT, however, as sliding in unnoticed to capture very candid photos for a modern, photojournalistic approach to wedding photography. I would wholeheartedly recommend Sondra to anyone in Wisconsin looking for an event photographer. She's really lovely to work with and the photos are beautiful as well.
