My sweet beloved little fur baby boy Chewy went to heaven last night. It was the most heart-wrenching, devastating, horrendous experience of my entire life! I oscillate between feeling relieved that he is at peace and in heaven where there's no pain and no sorrow and he's having a blast chasing around the angels and singing praises to God and being in the warm tranquil Waters fishing with my dad and eating a feast of all exotic food! But then the sorrow and the grief hit me and I feel like I might need to be hospitalized! The men at this amazing company, Sal and Tim we're so incredibly compassionate and help me through both taking Chewy and bringing back his ashes and paw print the very next day! I would never go with any other company but faithful companion in Cedar Lake Indiana. Thank you so much Sal & Tim, I will never forget how you help me during this excruciating painful time in my life. Kelly

Frosty's name is above her paw prints along with little hearts. Very thoughtful.

We had to put him in a box wrapped up in our freezer until we could take him so deterioration would not start, but we really wanted a paw print.

During the call the pricing was explained and I was told the Veterinarian prefers cash. This would have been $650 in CASH to hand over while holding my dead cats. I explained I did not want to pay in cash. There was a hesitation and then the response was we will have the Vet reach out to you. An hour later the Vet called and we scheduled an appointment for Saturday afternoon and she asked me, will you be paying in cash? I said no, again a sigh and well I will have admin call you to collect the payment. Later that night I received a phone call requesting the $650 payment and I said I would pay a deposit but I preferred to pay the whole amount via a credit card the day of the service. I was told that's not their policy but I would get a call back later that night. No call back. Thursday late afternoon they called back while I was in a work meeting and I didn't check the voicemail. After picking my son up from daycare, dinner, bath, bed I go to check my message and at the same time these people are texting me. Essentially the message was confirming I was paying cash. When I responded saying I wasn't paying in cash they called me....at 10pm on a Thursday night. I am screenshotting this text exchange and yes I was upset. My cat is dying a slow death and this company is soulless. I get this is a business for them but there are other ways to go about it AND what kind of PROFESSIONAL service insists on their clients paying them in cash.

I felt it was much better for her to be able to stay home and not have the fear of going to a veterinary office. It was such a blessing to find this company. The doctor and assistant came on time, were very kind and understanding. Their demeanor and professionalism made a sad situation easier. I was going to write a review sooner but just had the heart to write one now. This company provides a much-needed service for pets and their owners. Thank you so much! PS: When I went to write this review, I saw that negative review someone posted about the company wanting cash. I had no problem regarding payment, no one asked me for cash. As a matter of fact, I felt the price was fair for the service given. Ignore this persons nasty review.

I got rid of my car a few years ago since I live in the city, and this day just happened to be a terrible rainy weather day. They have a pick-up service and sent someone to pick her up in the terrible weather. The lady was super nice and explained to me what I could order and expect. That pick-up service was so nice considering the whole day and the fact that I was pretty useless at that point. About three weeks later, on a Saturday, I was able to pick up my little girl at the place which is located inside Bohemian National Cemetery. You can tell that Bob really cares about all the animals that come through his door. To the wonderful ceremony and especially to the part that I was especially fighting tears over: the little rubber ducky who would be Sophie's best friend in heaven. Sophie loved toys like no other dog. I have so many wonderful keepsakes of little Sophie. Thank you a million for taking such good care of my little girl.

This is a must read:…read more Unfortunately, I had to put down my little man, Turbo due to heart failure.... I was hassled around by 3 vets including my own until I found one who was absolutely so professional and kind. I called Kozy Acres and spoke with Casey. I told him through my tears the situation and he asked a few questions (weight, name, breed). He said bring him in and they will be waiting.... Firstly, just from the phone call alone Casey was absolutely incredibly sympathetic but in such a professional way. Secondly, I was scatter brained and called again to confirm the time I would be bringing him in. He called back promptly and apologized since they were in the middle of cremation- he didn't have to apologize but he did. Fast forward to finally making it there.... I believe it was Tom who came to the front and once again treating us like we were family and sharing stories of his own dachshunds he had. He was kind, sympathetic and gentle through the whole process. There are good people out there and then there are amazing loving caring souls - that's Kozy Acres. They do not miss a beat when it comes to a proper, respectful funeral and cremation and or burial. They have so many memorial items to choose from. So many was to remember your pet. He said we could view the process in the AM when they would do the little animals for private cremation. Casey called at 7:30am saying it would happen at 10am. I think what got me the most was being able to view his beautiful little body at peace wrapped up in such beautiful blankets. This is the most calming and peaceful place. You are not waiting weeks and days for ashes. You are not waiting for answers and you treated like a family member here! Thank you so much Kozy Acres for the beautiful gifts and the most precious time with my Turbo! This place is absolutely truly special!

A complete insult to me as the customer. It's absolutely appalling to think someone would do that with the ashes of my dog that had just passed away , a total lack of remorse. He said he is 65 years old now and has been doing this since he was 19, you would think he would have learned something during that time. We wanted the paw print which was not told to us during our visit. I called in to inform about my issue of having to explain to my 4 year old son that we won't have the paw print. The employee took the form from me without bothering to explain anything, not even the price. The employee then went on further to say it's my fault for not knowing their services. They did not apologize once but instead kicked me out and followed me to my car shouting insults. kozy acres is owned and operated by completely incompetent degenerates.

This is how I felt when I reached out to Peaceful Endings. While the decision itself will not get any easier, Peaceful Endings will make the weight of the decision more manageable. A few weeks ago, one of my cats was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The news came out of nowhere and I was absolutley devastated. While we were able to borrow a little time after the diagnosis with the use of sterroids, the grim reality was that her quality of life could drastically decline at any moment. I knew I couldn't let her suffer like that, but also couldn't bring myself to schedule her departure. I'd called so many home services, but was continually met with the necessitiy to schedule for a few days out. After days of calling, I had just about given up hope, and since it was one of the first beautiful days of the year, she was having a really good day, and I just wanted to enjoy it with her. As I sat watching her sunbathing, I told myself I needed to try at least one more time--if I could let her go on the highnote of the beautiful day, it would be the best chance I had at finding peace with the situation. I pulled up the only service that I had yet to contact, and submitted their online form. It was near the end of their office hours, so I told myself that if they reached out and could make it happen, it was meant to be. A few minutes later, I was answering Megan's call. She was so sweet, listening as I tried to give her the information between sobs, assuring me that it was alright and that she understood how painful this decision was. After the appointment was finalized, she stayed on the phone with me, giving reassurance that I was making the best decision for my sweet girl, even though it felt so horrible. This carried me through the next few hours. The time of the apointment came, and I received the text that I had been dreading: Dr. Emily had arrived. Allowing her into my home was the easiest and most difficult decision I've ever made. I wanted so desperately not to need her services, but I knew it was what needed to happen. Looking back, I'm so grateful I didn't back out, as much as I had wanted to, because I couldn't have asked for anyone better. She had such a calm and kind demeanor, offering reassurance that I was making a compassionate decision. She was so gentle and caring from the moment she arrrived through the time that they left. If you are looking for a sign, let this be it. Reach out to Peaceful Endings, and know that you don't have to carry the weight of this decision alone. Thanks to them, my sweet girl was able to pass peacefully at home, snuggled in my arms, at the end of a beautiful day. I'm eternally grateful for this, and hope they know how much peace it has brought me in the days to follow.
