Ever since they moved locations this place is terrible! LONG wait, and they have no room for an indoor wait, so in the summer you are waiting outside sweating. People are running around in nothing but swim suits, which is too casual for me at a sit down place. Last time we visited they brought us tacos with rotten meat. I mean it smelled like road kill, then they only wanted to discount it 10% even though we didn't take a single bite. Avoid this place! The lake view isn't worth it. read more

My husband and I recently moved to the Conroe area and went Fajita Jack's for dinner which was great! The food is delicious, the drinks are awesome and the staff is always freindly. We also really enjoy the atmosphere. It is very relaxing so there is no need to dress up and it is right on the lake so it's great (when it's not too hot) to sit on the patio and watch the boats come in and out and is even better at night. It is our restaurant of choice and we highly recommend it. read more

Our first time here and it was so good. Server was very attentive and the food was almost perfect. I wanted shrimp and the shrimp was not that great. The fish, we all 3 enjoyed and my 5 year old loved it. The fajita meat is so tasty and tender. The margarita on the rocks i got was so tasty and strong. Just like I like. One of the worst Mexican restaurants ive ever been to. Lousy service and food. I thought itd be better since its by a lake but no. Very disappointed. Will never go back to this place again. I got the cali burrito and was not impressed at all by it. The steak meat was tough and chewy and there wasn't much toppings inside. I thought i was gonna get a large burrito but it was regular size. We went for lunch on a beautiful Tuesday in October. We wanted to sit outside to enjoy Lake Conroe. Outside was dirty tables scattered everywhere, electrical wires scattered around, the wait staff running like they were swamped. There were 4 tables of customers out there. Service was slow. I ordered $10.99 cerviche and it was about 1/2 cup of food. $5.99 would have been all the money for the portion size. Very disappointed. My friends lunch portion was right sized, and she enjoyed it. The inside of the restaurant looked very nice, organized, clean. Don't know why the part that is the main draw of waterfront dining, the outdoor lake front patio, was so blah , dirty and disorganized. Maybe management never goes out there, or just doesn't care. We won't be back. Will try Sam's or Wolfies patio next time. Very disappointed. By the way, I used to wait tables. read more

I worked in the same plaza and went here all the time for lunch breaks and would sit out on the back patio. Great during the summer time it's covered, you get a great view of the lake and the food is great. A lot of the servers there are prompt and have real personalities. I love it. Plus that green sruff they bring you with the salsa is amazing. read more

I took some out of town guests here and it was my first visit. The water view is spectacular. We were promptly greeted by our server, Phil. He was very professional and personable. We ordered shrimp fajitas, shrimp tacos and a taco salad. The food was great. Loved the salsas. It was nice to have a server that really likes people and seems to enjoy his job. My husband had the corpus diablo dish. Bacon wrapped shrimp and chicken/cheese stuffed jalapenos wrapped in bacon. Well, it was not that great. All I can taste was bacon. I know bacon is powerful but he and I have had this dish MANY places. It was not worth it. I had the pick 3. Crispy taco, bean cheese chalupa, cheese enchilada and chicken flautas. U know that's 4 lol, I added to it. Mine was good but i played it safe. Not sure how to f up a crispy taco and a chalupa lol. My husband ate my cheese enchilada and he said it was good but again it's a cheese enchilada. The real disappointment was my husbands corpus diablo. I almost forgot the queso blanco turned in to a hard mess. Ugh! As I'm writing this not sure why I'm even giving a 3 but I will leave it. Our waiter was great so i guess that's why i will leave it at a 3, if it wasn't for him it would be a 1 or 2. Typical mexican food offerings, where the majority of the effort obviously leans towards fajitas. If your looking for something besides fajitas go somewhere else. They do have a diverse fajita option set, and their margaritas are both tasty, and delivered by the bucket. The wait staff are always slammed and that's not their fault. I had dinner here with my family last Sunday 11-15-15 and received food poison from their beef fajita. My mother and mother-in-law both got it as well. The other two people we were with didn't eat beef fajita and they were fine. I called the restaurant to let them know and as soon as I mentioned that they hung up on me. I called back several hours later and asked to speak with a manager. She said she couldn't do anything for me other than to take down my number and have the owner call me. Giving this place 5 stars because they accommodated to our seating requests and the food was great. We wanted a seat by the window so my family could enjoy the views and they quickly cleaned up a table for us and sat us down with no hesitation. The food was fantastic. During a pandemic takeout service should be at least decent. Fajita Jacks takeout orders are a dumpster fire. They messed up my order twice a couple of weeks ago and I didn't attempt a third time because I was starving. Today however I had time. So I made sure I was super specific about what I wanted for both my order and my mother's order. I had to correct them over the phone three times. Then I go to pick up the order and both my mother's order and mine were completely wrong. So they redid them. Upon opening them when we got home we realized that my order was completely wrong again. Fajita jacks is always right when you have time to sit in the restaurant, but during these times they need to put equal priority on to go orders. Not to mention another customer had to get her order redone three times as well. So if you have time for crappy salsa and getting your order wrong several times go ahead and eat there. read more
