This is the first time trying Los 3 Mexicanos. We are recent transplants from California and trying to find Mexican food that matches what we're used to. We are learning that most of the Mexican food places are considered Tex-Mex. The food at this location was very close to what we are used to. We ordered a chicken chimichanga with fajita chicken meat and a chicken enchilada. They both came with beans and rice. The chips and salsa were very good with a mild salsa. The chicken enchilada came with a green sauce and the chimichanga came with a red sauce that they call chili gravy. The service at the location was very good. They were attentive and kept our drinks full. The cost of the chimichanga with beans and rice and the chicken enchilada with beans and rice and one iced tea and one 7-Up came to $40 with a tip. This is a location we will visit again. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place feels non commercial with the local neighborhood restaurant vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is just ok and priced too high. I ordered the chipotle tacos with chicken which tasted good until I got a mouthful of mushrooms that were NOT in the description on the menu. I asked the waitress about it and she said they forgot to include mushrooms in the description. The queso is just melted American cheese for $8 a cup. The service was pretty good and they gave me a discount because of the mushrooms. The margaritas are not strong enough and need some work. I might be back but I will try some other places in the area first. read more

One thing good at this restaurant is the bartender/manager "Maria". That's how I come up with one star. Jorge doesn't like karaoke so he rudely interrupts songs with tambourine and singing loudly instead of waiting a minute to finish a song so everyone could sing happy birthday with them! But he would rather be rude. As for the food we only ate there to respect the restaurant. read more

Los 3 Mexicanos Mexican Bar & Grill is one of my favorite restaurants. It is located in Willis, Texas on FM 1097 West. Lucky for me, it's only one mile from my home! I have been there numerous times and each time the food is the same. No surprises! I always get the beef quesadillas. The portions are huge. It is enough for me to have a 2nd meal the next day. Their quesadillas are the best I've ever had. The staff are all very nice and attentive. The prices are very reasonable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining area is always clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I usually go early to avoid the dinner crowd so it is normally quiet when I am there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have never taken any food pictures but what you would see online in the pictures is just how it looks. There is plenty of parking. I've never had a problem getting a spot ever on the rare occasions that I've gone later when it was crowded. I highly recommend your give it a try. read more

When our trio of 80ish-ers needed to change tables they were super kind and gracious. Great house margaritas. This visit I had a very nice and tasty plate of 3 different enchiladas. A few!weeks ago I discovered their delicious tamale plate. I have never had more generous sumptuous tamales. $14! Try them! We asked for a "to-go" order to handle 12 guests at our house. We met with a gentlemen at the restaurant the day before to lay out exactly what we needed, and the food restrictions of some of our guests. The guidance that we recieved while placing the order was excellent and the staff seemed very concerned about addressing all of our needs. The following day, we picked up the order that was ready for us right on time. As it turns out, the food was excellent and everyone enjoyed the fajitas (beef, chicken, and vegetarian) very much. Great food prepared on time with excellent service and friendliness. We will do this again. read more

Free margaritas gets you to four stars! This is a surprisingly legit Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurant in an otherwise fairly remote area near Lake Conroe. Bentwater residents will save on the miles next time they're in the mood for fajitas, enchiladas, or even tacos al pastor or mole sauce. Caveat: the free margaritas are likely a limited offering as they wait for their liquor license. read more

The service is 3.5 to 4 stars. The ambiance is about the same. But came here for lunch around 1pm after they'd been open for about 7-8 weeks. Apparently the margaritas are free as they didn't have liquor license. It's the proverbial, "Well the margaritas are good" place. Me and my golfing buddy got typical Mexican food. I got tamales as how do you screw up tamales? They did. Dry and tamales wee not even close to fresh. Covered with a cheap velveta like chip queso. Literally the worst ever. read more

We've been here twice now. The food is wonderful and the waiter and waitress were great. The food has more variety than some of the other Mexican restaurants in the area--there is a good variety of Tex-Mex and more authentic Mexican food.
