New to town and not sure where to go. My beloved Chicago Bears were on Monday nite football and I was waiting for my furniture ( and sadly TV's ) to arrive from Illinois. Went in here and it turned out to be sort of a sports bar with lots of TVs and Monday nite football on. Ordered a burger for me and my girl had one as well. What a surprise. I wasn't expecting such an awesome burger, but it may of been the best one I've ever had. Cooked to a perfect medium with the most perfect taste char crust I've ever seen. Sat at the bar for 10 minutes as 2 bartenders walked by. Didn't even acknowledge us. Then proceeded to serve a "regular". So, if you're not a regular, don't go. By the way, last time I was there, wings were horrible. Almost like they reheated the night before. My girlfriend convinced me to give it another try. Well, I did. Just recently discovered this place. Me and the boys go on a Friday afternoon. the beers are cold, whisky pour great and the bar food is tasty AND no cigarette smoke! The afternoon bar staff might be a little wound too tight. I appreciate all that they do, and the best way to show appreciation is to tip. Well I was informed kind of snarky that I didn't tip her two weeks ago - which is false. It was a 10 and a 20 cash tucked into the receipt. my honest hope is it was stolen, I should have handed her the money directly. I will not make that mistake and I did retip her again so that there are no hard feelings when I am in the bar or we will just need to go to another bar. read more

We're here a second time, this time for dinner. The server we had for lunch the other day did not get my vote, and the service today is on par with that. I am pretty sure despite the delicious french fries we had the other day, we won't make a third trip. We ordered Southwest egg rolls for the appetizer, two tiny egg rolls, (same size as a regular chinese egg roll, not the size like Applebees ) so far they don't look like they are worth the $8dollar price tag. Our last/first trip, we weren't provided refills on our waters, today I brought my own water to combat that, but was stopped at the door.. they have a 'no outside food or drink policy' fine, then ... hello staff... be on top of drink refills. They epically failed this time as well, see pics. Tip for any business/server, when a customer has their glass at the edge of the table, its because they are looking for a refill, not because they cant find another place on the table for their glass, just saying. The first time we went there, my husband had a chicken fried steak sandwich and fries, and i had hot wings. the sandwich was good, as were the wings, nice size, great flavors available, good wings for sure. The french fries were again, absolutely delicious and they are what brought us back the second time for dinner. I sincerely doubt we will be back for a third trip to dine in. Service is terrible. This may be a great place for getting together for the bar scene, i will never know, but I can say that for dining in... nope nope nope. They are close enough to us that we will be able to order wings and fries again, but to go only. the restaurant is not clean, the parking lot is full of cigarette butts, and the mirror in the womens room doesnt look like its been cleaned in months. I dont even want to give it two stars because of all the other things i am mentioning, but the fries and wings are good, so i'll leave it at that. this place has a lot of things to clean up before I would consider going back inside for a meal. read more

Great food menu and the atmosphere was just what you'd want in a friendly local pub. My only concern was that there was only one bartender on a Saturday afternoon during football playoffs. She worked so hard and did her best, but the manager should have known a 2nd person would be needed during playoffs. read more

Buffalo Chicken sandwich and fries was delicious, fast, served hot with salt n pepper, catsup, plenty of napkins, fork and knife, glass of ice water. Menu is plentiful and many daily specials offered. Ribeye steak day would have been great, but too much to eat before dinner. The bartender provided great service on what appeared to be a slow Wednesday afternoon. This place is under ten minute drive from April Sound. This could easily become a regular fav. read more

It's definitely more of a bar atmosphere. This was our first time here and we came for the food and a quick drink and we were pleasantly surprised with the food. We shared some chips and queso and the patty melt(can't recall the name on the menu). The patty melt was very good! read more

Came here looking for a family owned business. I'll tell you this, the bar tenders Cody and Maddy are awesome. They have conversation with you throughout your time there and make it enjoyable. I meant to put 2 stars but somehow it said 5. This place is ok. I recently ordered cheese fries and they were good but when I asked for more ranch dressing, I was simply told "there's no more ranch." You'll have to go through 4-5 bars stools before you find one that won't collapse or fall apart. The nighttime bartender Jody is sort of rude and calls his own mom "sir." Oh, and there's a dude named Wizzle that comes in sometimes and apparently has some kind of line of credit there. I was here for my friends birthday and I will never be returning... The only good thing about the place was that the bartenders were good at getting you drinks fast. The drinks were priced than normal I thought. After a few drinks my girlfriends and I went to go dance and there was a girl dancing around drunk in a shirt and THONG. yes, the underwear. She literately took her pants off and was dancing and twerking around the dance floor. The DJ was grabbing and trying to feel up other women's vaginas while they were dancing. THIS IS NOT OKAY. No one from the staff said anything to him. The managers & bouncers DID NOTHING about any of these situations. I didn't know this was a freaking strip club. I will never be returning. The food was much better than I had anticipated for a bar. The fries were fresh and not frozen! I went for karaoke which is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night. The bartender was friendly, Wednesday was ladies' night, and the specials included 2.75 well drinks. For doing karaoke three out of seven nights a week, you would think that the people in the crowd would be more receptive to people who got up and sang. It seemed like pulling teeth just to get a few people to clap. On a Wednesday night, if you're looking for karaoke and some good drinks, there's a bar not too far down the road that has ok karaoke and their ladies' night special is 2 dollar well drinks, a little bit cheaper, and a nicer, more respectful crowd. If you're looking for good food and don't care how nice people are to you when you've gotten up to sing, this place is good. read more

Super nice smoke free bar with dancing, happy wait staff and a pretty good menu. I'm allergic to smoke so I always appreciate the little things in life. And then there's poker nights which I don't play but it's popular. This bar also hosts many charity events and has a huge draw for those fund raisers. Most are whipped up by the Montgomery County Charity Chicks and are well organized and play out more like a fair ground than a boring charity gathering. read more

This place is great. Yes it smells like cigarettes, yes it is awkward when you walk in and all of the locals just stare at you like you are from another planet. But their cheese burgers are delicious! The beer is cheap and cold and they play good classic rock. You have to stop in and try the burgers and handcut fries. 4 stars for the burger 4 stars for the bartender (Brooke) 3 stars for atmosphere/decor Burger - the burger and fries were surprisingly good and recommend by what seemed to be a local guy that has eaten there before. My fiancé had the turkey club, it was big, a little salty but nothin a good beer can't wash down. Bartender - I only had beers therefore I cannot attest to the mixology however Brooke was jovial enough and stopped to answer questions and volunteer information. Atmosphere/Decor - some parts of the bar are dingy (like the glasses hanging over the bar) but the bar doesn't purport to be anything more than a bar and grill so I wasn't expecting a bar found in the Heights section of Houston either. I didn't see any flies and the actual bar working area itself seem fairly clean, at least from a cursory glance. Important FYI - this bar allows smoking inside, it is certainly not the place if you detest smokers. The air circulation seemed average and I wasn't picking up smoke from the tables, but It was around. It should be noted that the bar was probably at 15-20% capacity. There were other comments about staring - don't let that stop you. Walk in like you belong there and no one will raise an eye, if you're a good looking woman, well chances are people are looking whether you're aware of it or not at any bar (take it while you can get it). read more
