The Chicken Kabab dinner plate is great. It comes with a good portion of rice and cabbage salad. Also good, is the Pomegranate Salad - with greens, nuts, and cheese along with pomegranate seeds. We go there regularly because we enjoy it so much. By the way, the Chicken Lemon Soup is delicious!!!

We were on a search for middle eastern food, but all the spots we frequent were closed on a Monday…read moreevening. So I went through my Yelp bookmarks and found Zaza Grill in Pacifica. Easy parking in a large open lot, so no problems with finding a space. When we arrived, there was only one table available right at the door. We sat down, but it was pretty chilly. We couldn't shut the door because the waiter needed to serve a table outside. We were hoping for a table to open up before getting our entrees. Luckily, a table left and we could sit away from the wind. So much better! I think they should have smaller tables for 2, so it could either be for 2 or put 2 tables together to accommodate 4. Just a suggestion for those occasions when a couple takes up a table that seats 4 and there is another couple waiting for a table. That could easily solve this issue. ***OUR PICKS*** COLD MEZZE PLATE ~ * tzatziki - cucumber garlic yogurt dip with dry mint. * baba ghanoush - grilled smoked eggplant with tahini, yogurt, garlic and olive oil * hummus - puréed garbanzo beans, tahini, olive oil * dolmas - stuffed grape leaves (rice) * kitzartma - eggplant, zucchini, bell peppers, with tomato garlic sauce and topped with garlic and yogurt * kalamatiano - savory Kalamata olives The kitzartma dip was my favorite out of all of them. The least favorite would be the kalamatiano because it was salty, bitter, and tasted like pungent olives. I like olives, but this was a bit too much for me and my partner. When you mix it with the other dips, it was palatable, but harsh on its own. The rest were delicious and mouth watering and great eating with our meal. Warmed pita bread was served with the dips. 4/5 ZAZA MIX GRILL ~ kofte, chicken gyro, lamb and beef gyro, chicken kebab, lamb kebab. Comes with rice, salad, and hummus. The kebab meats were tender and juicy, while the gyro meats were on the drier side. Their chicken broth Jasmine rice was perfectly cooked and one of the best we've had! You can taste every grain and it was neither mushy nor dry. And so flavorful and delicious! The salad had a tangy dressing and hummus was smooth and tasty. 4/5 We were served by Yakov, who was pleasant and friendly. He even gave us hot Turkish tea while we sat at the doorway. He knew it was a cold evening and offered to move us as soon as a table was free. We even chatted about our travels as he's a big traveler and is multi-lingual! We had a fascinating conversation and enjoyed the food. Glad we stopped by to try Zaza Grill!

I love the contrast of hot and cold, as well as crisp textures with bold flavors. I ordered the beef and lamb plate, and it was outstanding, the meat was tender and packed with flavor. The salad was refreshing, and the hummus was creamy with a rich, nutty taste. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. My friends ordered the same, one with pita and one as a wrap. The plate and wrap portions were generous, though the pita felt a bit on the smaller side. The restaurant itself is clean and inviting, and the staff is friendly. I'll definitely be coming back! :)

Delicious! I just dropped my mom at SFO and was trying to find a place to grab some takeout…read more I checked Reddit yesterday and there was a couple mentions of Lotus. There were some other places that I wanted to try more but they were closed for Christmas Eve. Not a lot of parking but I found one right in front of the store. Have to pay, didn't know that, thankfully i got out within 10 minutes before I got a ticket. I ordered a combo plate since I didn't really know what to get. I didn't get to eat it until 2 hours later and I had to microwave it, still very flavorful! The rice has a good amount of salt, and all the meats were easy to bite through, not tough at all. My only complaint would be that I feel like it might be better complimented with a sauce. It was my first time so I didn't know if they typically give any sauces. I think I saw some hot sauce on the tables (unless that was ketchup). Very good and would try again!

The service was attentive from start to finish. We tried the gyros, the City Mix plate, and the baklava, which they make fresh daily. The staff is friendly and helpful, well at least the young gent I interacted with at the cash register. There are a couple of chefs in the open kitchen, but I didn't interact with them. Parking can be very challenging. There is no dedicated parking. There is a lot across the street that gets packed and is shared with multiple businesses or street parking...good luck with that. I believe this is a Turkish restaurant. There are 12 small tables that are mobile, they can be adjusted or combined to make bigger tables. Although I wouldn't recommend coming here with a big group. ~ Wraps: - Adana Kebab - 4/5 Tasty wrap, a bit on the skinny side, definitely not generous portions. The Lamb was cooked to perfection. The spicy sauce they provide has a slight kick to it and a good flavor. ~ Appetizers: - Falafel (3 Pieces) - 3.5/5 Brilliant texture, but a bit salty for my liking. I was surprised to learn you can order this in a 3, 6 or 9 pieces. ~ Desserts: - Turkish Delight (Rose Water) - 4.5/5 I just wanted to try this. I love Rose and Saffron flavors. It comes from Turkey. I'm sure you could buy a whole pack for the a bit more $$. I'll just need to pick up a few packages when I head to Türkiye...

Of their menu of 10 entrees, they only had lamb -- no beef, no chicken. So I got the lamb haneeth $19.99 and I had a choice of hummus or babaghanoush. Haneeth is a traditional Yemeni dish consisting of slow-roasted, spice-marinated lamb or chicken served over fragrant basmati rice. The meat is often seasoned with a blend of spices like cumin, cardamom, and turmeric, and slow-cooked in a sealed pot or an underground oven (tannour) to keep it moist. This tender, fall-off-the-bone meat, which is cooked for several hours, is a festive dish reserved for special occasions and feasts. The lamb was definitely tender but was kinda bland and lacked flavor. Same with the basmati rice -- it almost tasted a little old. Service was fine. I waited about 15 minutes for my takeout. There is a tiny counter along the side if you want to eat in. I also got a spanakopita (spinach) and tiropita (feta), each for $3. With so many Mediterranean places around, this market just doesn't stand up to the competition.
