The Chicken Kabab dinner plate is great. It comes with a good portion of rice and cabbage salad. Also good, is the Pomegranate Salad - with greens, nuts, and cheese along with pomegranate seeds. It was packed at 5:00 p.m., which seemed like a great sign, and it has the feel of a solid casual Mediterranean restaurant. We ordered the beef kebab dinner and the falafel dinner. We requested the beef be cooked medium rare, but when we got home, it was closer to well done. Unfortunately, the beef was quite tough and difficult to eat. We were hungry after our hike, so we ate it anyway, but it was disappointing. The falafel dinner was a little better, though nothing particularly memorable. I was surprised given the high ratings, but after reading more reviews afterward, I noticed others had also mentioned that the meat can be overcooked. Since we usually order takeout, I probably wouldn't return because it's too much of a gamble if the meat isn't cooked as requested. It's unfortunate, as the restaurant was busy and seemed well-liked, but this visit didn't live up to our expectations.

The shawarma plate was just as satisfying, with tender and flavorful meat. I like that it comes with two types of rice, fresh salad, hummus, and warm pita bread, which makes it a complete and filling meal. The ordering process is simple. You place your order at the counter, get your number, find a table, and the staff brings your food when it's ready. Service was smooth and efficient. It's a simple, laid-back space where you can enjoy your meal without feeling rushed. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and appreciate the great service. :)

The chicken was tender and tasty. The sandwich portion size of the wrap was generous. It was soft when it was sliced with a knife and the meat was kind of spilling out. I'm surprised they didn't grill it first before wrapping it in the foil. The beef & lamb lavash wrap was also generous in portion. However the taste of the beef & lamb lavash wrap was very bland & the meat was very dry compared to the chicken. It was also sliced thin which explained the dry part. To me it tasted like eating a piece of cardboard or thick paper. It wasn't to my liking at all and I will not be ordering this again. The fries were very good, and generous in portion, however they sprinkled too much salt on them. I had to use a napkin/tissue paper to wipe the salt. It would be advisable to request no salt if I need to order here again. When I was placing my order, I was surprised that the food didn't automatically included the sauce on the sides. Some restaurants in the same area does provide the sauce w/ their food. So, I needed to order the garlic sauce and the hot sauce in addition to the sandwiches. The garlic sauce was very good in taste, however the hot sauce, has a bitter after taste and it was also too salty when it was added to the lavash wrap sandwiches. I will skip the hot sauce next time and use whatever we have at home. The baklava was good, flaky & a little sweet. I've made baklava before, so I expected it to be sweet. Overall my first experience in trying this restaurant thru door-dash was just okay. Maybe next time, I will try their other plated dishes instead of the sandwiches. Overall rating for the food is 3 star.

The hummus was creamy, the chicken shawarma was flavorful, and the bread was so good I briefly considered putting it in my pocket for later. The Adana kebab had enough spice to remind me that I still have functioning taste buds, while the lahmacun was essentially Turkish pizza, but which raises the obvious question: Why haven't we been doing this all along? So far, so good. My stomach was optimistic. Then things became a little less heroic. Some dishes seemed to have been prepared by completely different kitchens that weren't on speaking terms. The mixed grill arrived looking like it was preparing to support me through the apocalypse. There was so much food that I started making strategic decisions about which items I would eat now and which ones I would leave behind for my imaginary second stomach. A few dishes were excellent; others were more "perfectly acceptable, but let's not get carried away." The atmosphere is pleasant, the menu has plenty of choices, and there are enough good dishes to make me want to return. But three stars feels right: not bad enough to complain, not good enough to write poetry about. I'd happily come back for the shawarma, hummus, bread, and kunafa--but next time I'm bringing stretchy pants, a financial advisor, and someone to carry me to the car. Service was okay.

Of their menu of 10 entrees, they only had lamb -- no beef, no chicken. So I got the lamb haneeth $19.99 and I had a choice of hummus or babaghanoush. Haneeth is a traditional Yemeni dish consisting of slow-roasted, spice-marinated lamb or chicken served over fragrant basmati rice. The meat is often seasoned with a blend of spices like cumin, cardamom, and turmeric, and slow-cooked in a sealed pot or an underground oven (tannour) to keep it moist. This tender, fall-off-the-bone meat, which is cooked for several hours, is a festive dish reserved for special occasions and feasts. The lamb was definitely tender but was kinda bland and lacked flavor. Same with the basmati rice -- it almost tasted a little old. Service was fine. I waited about 15 minutes for my takeout. There is a tiny counter along the side if you want to eat in. I also got a spanakopita (spinach) and tiropita (feta), each for $3. With so many Mediterranean places around, this market just doesn't stand up to the competition.
