Stopped to grab pizza for the kids next door and was enticed by the specials on the windows that my husband and I had to stop by. This was our first time eating at this place, but apparently it was recently voted the #1 new restaurant in DC and the prices are incredibly affordable for a place that provides fresh, healthy, and vegetarian options for the family! They also partner with the World Food Programme which is definitely something I can get behind. Today we tried the chicken shawarma box which at the time of this review is $15 and comes with a wrap cut into four pieces, fries and one dipping sauce. All of their sauces look delicious but we got the garlic mayo which was a perfect accompaniment to the wrap and fries. My son barely left us any fries by the time we drove home and is typically my picky eater so that's saying a lot! The wrap comes beautifully stuffed with shaved chicken, sauce, seasoning and a few pickles (next time I'm asking for double!) - which was perfectly paired with the crispy za'atar fries that I may or may not have shoved inside my wrap. We had ordered their falafel rice/salad bowls to be catered for our event a couple of weeks ago. A COMPLETE DISASTER FROM START. The rice was a mix of uncooked and cooked, as if seems it might have been added as a 'last minute' item. They kept the rice way in the bottom of the bowl, thinking it might not get noticed. Top fo it, their delivery was done too late in the night, by then most of our guests had left without eating the bowl, total waste of money for us. Went to this place on a Sunday at 7:30pm. What a disaster. There was so much confusion between the front house staff and the kitchen. One of the ladies in the kitchen was yelling at the guy at the register. I only went to the zataar fries and hummus/pita and was told that it would be a 30min wait, then after speaking w the kitchen ladies the guy said it it would be only 10min. However, once I purchased he came back to tell me now the wait would be 20min. Keep in mind, I'm only ordering side items, two of which, the hummus and bread, are pre- prepared. So now I have to find something to do for 20min. I finally go back 20min later and my food is ready. I sit and open the brown bag and its just regular fries, no zataar...which was the main reason I came here. I go to the front desk and ask the girl at the register for zataar seasoning. She says that the front desk guy should have told me that they were out of zataar as they dont have any. What a waste. I specifically went for the zataar fries, paid for it, waited 20min for it only to get plain old fries that I have in my freezer and dont need to leave my house for. I dont dine out often, esp at fast-casual places like falafel inc, but I dont see any reason to ever come here again. I'll stick w the trader joes fries and trader joes zataar seasoning. I honestly would not recommend the Loudoun branch based on my experiences there. Good luck trying to communicate in English here. The service has consistently felt inattentive, and there seems to be a lack of communication and attention to detail from the staff. One recurring issue is that sauces and condiments are often left empty even when the restaurant is not busy, and the food itself is frequently assembled very sloppily. Presentation and consistency matter, especially when customers are paying premium prices, and unfortunately this location does not seem to prioritize either. I've also ordered delivery from other branches multiple times, and one of the most frustrating patterns across locations is the extremely small amount of sauce provided. The sauce cups are already tiny to begin with, but many times they are only filled halfway. What makes this more confusing is that even when ordering a sauce sampler, which clearly suggests the customer enjoys the sauces and wants variety, the portions are still minimal. It gives the impression that the restaurant is trying to cut corners on very basic things that significantly affect the customer experience. Overall, between the inconsistent service, sloppy food preparation, and inadequate portions for add-ons like sauces, the experience has been disappointing enough that I would choose other options instead. read more

This place knows how to roll out the red carpet for vegan guests. The plant shwarma is such a nice option in a world of falafels, not that they don't also have delicious falafels, and everything that is intended for plant eaters is clearly labeled. I love that Yelp introduced me to this new place in One Loudoun. Parking is easy if you arrive early. They are just near the Alamo Drafthouse. Staff is exceptionally friendly. We loved that the staff member remembers us from the Yelp event. He personally delivered our meals. There's plenty of clean tables and seating. The menu is simple and very reasonably priced. Food: my favorite is the Falafel sandwich and at a price point of $5, you can eat here everyday. The pita is packed with red cabbage, lettuce and their secret sauces. Went for the Yelp event. The sauces, PHENOMENAL. The spicy one I want for my everyday use. There's so many sauce options - white sauce, habibi sauce, spicy sauce, green sauce, garlic, it MAKES the sandwiches. The falafels themselves -- PERFECT texture, so moist on the inside unlike a lot of other falafel places but the outside still has a perfect crust and is crispy. The fries remind me of an herby, Italian seasoning taste and they're DELICIOUS. I love the price point for this place, I definitely will come back often. Not a fan. The falafel is tiny and very dry, and they rely on a concoction of sauces rather than adding very many spices to the actual falafel. I got the bowl/salad thing, but it was pretty sad. 90% just dry plain spinach filled almost to the top, then a few toppings and about six little falafel balls. The shawarma was good, although I was kinda expecting bigger chunks of chicken. It was almost like pulled chicken but it was pretty flavorful. In trying to place an order for a Corporate Office the customer service is horrible. The Ashburn location only has an AI-generated phone service NO live contact, the online order does not let you make the catering order in advance, the main "202" number NO One will return calls. Very affordable, and VERY good!! I got their standard falafel sandwich, and I'm not usually a fan of chickpeas but in this plus all the sauces it was SO GOOD!! The service was okay, a bit slow but it wasn't really too much of an impact on my day. Falafel took around 15 minutes to come out on a day with around 3 other guests inside. The ambiance is the only part that is a major detractor. The music in the restaurant was too loud and the speaker was right on top of me where I was sitting. It was also a bit cold. The food was fine, but the ambiance left a lot to be desired. The trash was overflowing. It was a cold day outside and three different tables tried to close the front door only to have the staff open it wide again. Our food was cold by the second bite and we were all freezing. Highly recommend! The owner took my order and was super welcoming in letting me know what was good to try for the first time.
