Mezeh is a Mediterranean/middle eastern version of Chipotle. The locations offer a good mix of proteins, with chicken shawarma being my favorite, and a good selection of toppings like couscous and tabbouleh. I'm not always the biggest fan of this location though. Portion sizes are fine, but when I went in to pick up my online order this time, all three staff just looked over and ignored us completely for over five minutes. Then finally one person came over and asked if we had been helped- no, we obviously had not been, you looked at us multiple times before going back to whatever you were doing. I gave him my name, expecting the order to be ready, as the app and text messages said it was ready for pickup- but then he just went back and started making the bowls without saying a single other word. So obviously they clicked that it was done without having even started it yet. The service here needs some serious work. read more

Very stingy with porton sizes of meat. Paying around $17 a bowl for double meat and they measure it out with these little spoon portions like the chicken peices are a gold nugget and give an attitude. Cheap and stingy. Chicken can be dry and sitting around too long. Go to Costco and you can buy three whole roasted fresh chickens for less. Mezeh is overpriced and has poor customer service. read more

Went there for the 1st time because of an advertisement on FB. The guy handed me a wrap that looked nothing like the advertisement. I showed him the ad and he told me that they don't make their wraps like the advertisement Mezeh is promoting and that the wrap in the video was only made that way for advertisement purposes and is not actually sold. A mediterranean spot with a large dining area. They have a couple booths, regular tables with chairs and high-top tables with stools. It's very industrial and minimalist-like. I quite like it. It was also fairly clean, especially for having a lot of customers coming in. They are quite eco-friendly, offering compostable utensils as well as reusable ones for dine-ins. I opted to make my own grain bowl with white basmati rice, chicken kebab and an assortment of toppings and lemon garlic and tzatziki sauces. The baba ganoush, caramelized eggplant and sumac cucumbers were so delicious! The portion was very filling and was very much welcomed because I was absolutely starving! I also purchased a fountain drink and chose the peach drink. It was actually quite refreshing: not too sweet or anything. While they weren't packed when I came in, they had a constant stream of customers ordering take-aways and a handful were dining in. If the dining area was packed, it definitely could be quite loud. I am a huge fan of Mediterranean, so when I discovered this place in the Virginia suburbs, I had to try it. I would say that it is a Chipotle style restaurant, in which you can build your own dish to suit your taste. They also had some great specialty bowls/wraps on the menu board. All I can say is that my husband and I were both really underwhelmed with our food. My spicy mango salad was not spicy, nor did I taste any mango. There wasn't a bite of food I tasted where the flavors didn't seem to be bland & muted. It was very odd, because so much Mediterranean food is so flavorful. Another thing that was disappointing was that there wasn't much chicken on my salad, despite the price I paid. I ordered online and took maybe 10 minutes driving. It was waiting for me when I arrived. The food was delicious. I got the lamb gyro, falafel, and the lamb kefta. We like this new spot in Leesburg. I think it's so new that they are still working some kinks out. Kind of the Chipotle of Mediterranean food. Great Fast Casual Option if you like Greek food. I got a bowl and like other similar concepts I love you can choose your base and protein and toppings. I got Falafel as my protein and it was really good. The service was great too. Staff was friendly. One of the things I noticed was when I went to get a lid for my bowl to take home leftovers the young man put on a fresh pair of gloves to hand me my lid. I love the food here, especially the caramelized eggplant! We've probably been at least 10 times since they've opened. I always order a build your own bowl and my husband gets a wrap. At the grand opening, they filled the bowls to the top but now they are being a lot more stingy. The service is not very friendly and the place is always so dirty. But I love the food so I'll keep coming back (if the tall guy with the facial hair wouldn't give me the stink eye when I ask for another scoop of toppings, maybe I'd give another star). read more

This Mezeh location is a bit hit or miss. The food is good, I've never had issues with the quality I always enjoy what I get. However I do feel like especially compared to other locations the portions are pretty small. The protein is almost always underwhelming and I often find myself asking for double of the free toppings to get to what feels like a regular amount. Every time I've come here the workers are also a bit rude. They never really say anything so when you come to the counter they just stare at you until you say items which is kinda unsettling and makes it very confusing when you're new. Some of them seemingly don't know the menu either. I often ask for one thing and they start to grab a different item unless I point out that it's wrong, but it is most common with the pickled item which I suppose to look similar. I've also noticed other customers asking what certain items are and they never really seem able to explain. Overall not a bad lunch spot, but could be better read more

Mezeh is one of my favorite restaurants to eat at but this location needs to learn what their portion sizes are. I have gone to many Mezeh locations across the DMV and get the same thing everywhere. This location is so stingy with everything. I just got double chicken and it's half the amount I get at every over location. For every topping they put on, I have to ask for double of everything to get a normal portion size. If I don't say anything, the bowl is only filled up halfway where, every other location, I bowl is filled to the top. Someone from another location should step in and teach this location about portion sizes to keep consistency across the board at all locations because this one sticks out like a sore thumb. read more

First time here at the Leesburg location and it was very good! Everything was fresh and service was fast. I got the Yalla Lamb bowl with pulled lamb, definitely hit the spot. We got there around 6:30 pm as the sun was setting and it was very bright with the sun coming through their large window. Inside was clean, the decor was fun and the seating comfortable. I tried the pre-packaged baklava, but it was somewhat dry and lackluster for $4.50, a hard pass as this is the only thing I saw that was not made fresh. read more

Not bad, very similar to Cava. We both had a chicken bowl, some of the best rice I've ever had, but super small portions. They give you one mini scoop of hummus and very small portions. I counted about 6 Kalamat olive pieces and 5 small tomatoes, I had to order extra chicken. You get one small 1/4 piece of Naahn bread. For two of us was $32.47, with no drinks - plus the additional tip they ask for, even with no servers and getting your own drinks. read more

Worst gyro sandwich I've ever had. The meat wasn't cut off a spit. It looked like shredded pork but was lamb. It was soggy and fatty. It sits in one of those stainless containers in the counter. Avoid. After several occasions of significantly less than advertised portions, I provided corporate with feedback. They asked for evidence and then never wrote back. When I asked for an update they stated that the portion size listed on the website was for the container - which is both false (they did not mention the container) and ridiculous.
