Our first time at this Falafel & Cafe, and what a pleasant experience! Small, quaint, and a nice atmosphere! Owned by an Egyptian gentleman who owns Prints2Go as well. We ordered our food at the register and waited less than 10 min to get our food. My falafel was absolutely delicious! I love falafel and eat it everywhere they have it and this one was my favorite! It's in a pressed pita bread and comes with some sort of sauce that almost makes this perfect sized sandwich creamy! My hubby had the chicken shawarma platter. I had a taste for a shawarma and this place popped up for me. I decided to give it a try because the prices weren't too bad and the food looked good. It wasn't too welcoming when i went into the restaurant to grab my order. I feel a little deceived when i got my order, it felt very light and I decided to open it once I was in the car and noticed how small the Shawarma was. It was only meat and some onions no tomatoes or lettuce. I paid $15 for this and feel like they cheated me. It was pretty decent, but nothing to rave over. If they added more meat, tomatoes and lettuce it would be great. Some places offer a side with a shawarma too. But if anything adding more to the wrap would feel like it's moneys worth. read more

Very disappointing experience. They charged me $8 for this tiny salad and an extra $1.50 for a tiny cup of mayonnaise. The portions are nowhere near worth the price. To make things worse, the restaurant looked very dirty, and when I picked up my order, the entire bag was covered in grease. It was disgusting. The food is is warmed up by means of a microwave, and most of the shawarma , and kabab is so over cooked that it is hard as a rock. The Tahina is watered down so much so, that I wouldn't call it anything short of milky brown water. Their Greek salad is missing mostly the Greek ingredients to call it Greek anything other than a salad with feta cheese moreover, no dressing whatsoever, the potato salad was yellow and didn't have any taste at all. There is no seasoning in their meats, no flavor not marinated , just cubed meat on a wood skinny skewer. Save your self a trip and go elsewhere, as this is not a real Egyptian restaurant nor a Middle Eastern restaurant and it is more of a fast food store with some tables and chairs. Back to the drawing board. On my search to find yummy Mediterranean food I saw this place and we decided to give it a try. Upon walking in we were greeted and handed menus from a guy at the counter. We took a seat to look it over. I noticed immediately how dirty and sticky the menu was. It's a pet peeve, I don't want to touch gross menus. Anyway we went up and ordered. I asked about the cheaper "side" hummus. He showed my the serving which was quite small and NO PITA with it. So if I wanted to enjoy hummus with my meal I had to purchase the SMALL container that included pita for way WAY TOO MUCH. I make hummus, it requires a can of garbanzo beans, lemon, olive oil and tahini. Very cheap to make so I'm always astonished at the ridiculous price people charge. After ordering the guy turned the kiosk around for me to, of course tip ( even though I say myself, got up and ordered myself, and would likely need to clean up after myself) but whatever. Did it anyway. But as I saw the reflection of the kiosk and felt how dirty it was, again kinda grossed out. Had to go wash up in the bathroom. I hope the state of the menus, kiosk, bathroom and glass door are not a reflection of what the kitchen looks like!! We got our food. *sigh* I absolutely hate complaining so we just sat and ate what was given to us. I was so disappointed I just ate half my Shwarma. It was the smallest shwarma I've ever seen. Also is was nothing but minced meat. No lettuce or tomato nothing, absolutely unappetizing and boring. I ended up not eating it but took half of it home in case someone else would eat it. I decided to take a pic of that at home. Butter knife for size reference. A grown man would need to eat 2-3 of these and at the cost of $10, that's could be pricey. Nothing came with it either, no fries or side salad. After spending $45 not including tip, I went home and made a PBandJ sandwich. Halal. I went to Egypt and tried a dish I ended up REALLY liking called "hawawshi". Here its called How Wow She. I was glad to have the opportunity to eat it again without having to travel to the other side of the world. This was a very neat and clean restaurant with lots and lots of seating! And there is also a shaded patio outside. Anyways the hawawshi here was very flavourful and I wish I had more. It's slightly spicy . I totally recommend it! I haven't been in only order via Uber Eats but Chicken shawarma was well seasoned and perfect lunch. Greek salad had A LOT of onions and lacking on lettuce. Dressing was good a little oily but potato salad was on point. Definitely would try again but not the Greek salad. read more

I am a falafel fanatic and here you can find perfect balls of deep fried chick pea dreams. Pillowy soft with a crispy crust. Nice pita and a side of perfect fries. Place is fairly clean...nice... went inside to place an order. Iasked a question to the only person working there and I don't think he spoke any English. The deals/prices online do not match what you find in store. OK whatever. Ordered and added the fries and drink combo. After I paid I was told the combo only included a can of soda and not the fountain that they had sitting there. Food came. It was OK at best. Portions were very small. 4.00$ for the smallest side of fries I've ever seen! Lettuce was old and gross. Falafel was OK, but a place with falafel in the name should have great falafel. Needless to say, we won't be going back. I'd rather drive 20mins away and go to a place like Fresh Bites or Istambul Grill in tampa. This was a wonderful place to end our vacation. Platters range from 13.99$ to 19.99$ and are quite tasty. The gyro is my highest recommend, the meat is succulent and flavorful. The rice is also tasty! I've been to places where the rice is bland, this one has just the perfect spicing. We ordered the tzatziki and hummus for starters(6.50$), only complaint is the sauce to pita ratio is waaay, off. There are six or so triangles of pita and a plate full of sauce. We have ordered many times from Falafel N Cafe. It is one of our go to Mediterranean restaurants. Always fresh and delicious. My husband's favorite is the kofta platter. It comes with three large pieces of Kofta and you get two side choices. I have ordered a variety of different dishes before. I love Mediterranean food, so I try to choose something new every time we order. I have tried the falafel which is very good. Not dry at all. It comes with tzatziki sauce and pita bread. The grape leaves are tasty as well. The hummus is excellent! Garlicky and tangy just how I like it. I have ordered the chicken shawarma wrap before and it is delicious. If I were to critique one thing it would be that there be a little less parsley in the shawarma wrap. Other than that it's really good. The spices are on point. Shawarma, tahini, falafel -- how can you go wrong. I love all of those things! They have fresh Mediterranean food here, which is one of my favorite cuisines. Although their shawarma is great, I think what I enjoy most is the dips. The tzaziki and tahini are my favorites. To be honest, the hummus I got was a bit too oily for me -- maybe I just got a fluke batch. I love the soft pita they give for the dips and the tangy, pickled turnips (which the menu refers to simply as "pickles," so don't get confused when you don't receive picked cucumbers). Anyway they're always refreshing to dip into one of the many different options. They also have some Egyptian dishes, which I usually don't see often and are a treat. Lots of beans and lentils, which are a nice, healthy, and filling option if that's what you're looking for. read more

I think this place was a very ok place to drop by and try if you are in the area. The food was good, but not yet to the point where it completely blows me away. I did enjoy the falafel. It was nice and crispy on the outside while maintaining that soft fluffiness on the inside. Pair that up with the tahini sauce and a side of spicy stewed eggplants and it was a solid platter. I also tried the Koshari since it is a dish that you don't find very often in the area. To me, it was a bit more bland than I expected. I found myself wishing that it was a bit more savory, or maybe a bit more garlicky. Something that would give it a more contrasting flavor to cut through the tomato sauce and the fried onions. Maybe I should have paired it with some kebabs for more contrast. However, I do have to say, I was very impressed by the portion size of the koshari. I was not expecting such a massive plate of food. It was so much food that I ended up having 2 meals out of it! Did this place blow me away? Not completely. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't come back to try some other items from the menu. Chicken shawarma was more like stewed chicken with tomatoes and parsley. NO SPICES. The garlic paste was bad. As in went bad. The greek salad was just lettuce, some chopped up tomatoes, a couple slices of white onion and oil as a salad dressing. Biggest waste of money! The guy who took our order and the lady who made our food looked at us like we didn't belong. They seemed annoyed. Then the guy who took our order was more pleasant with the man who ordered after us.
