We will be coming back here! Delicious Mediterranean food. We sampled some rolled pistachio baklava at an open air market in Largo; and knew we had to go there for lunch. Thin sliced marinated chicken and or beef gyros were what we chose. The meat was perfect rolled into a super soft thin pita with lettuce and house made taziki sauce. So many things on the menu looked great! We are going to be back very soon! Located in a strip mall, has free parking, a store front with bakery items, a wine bar and a beautiful and comfortable dining area! Prices were super especially for the quality. Friendly staff are happy to tell you about the food and wine. Looks like a great date night place also!

Visited my brother in Florida. He took me to Sahar's and I am incredibly thankful that he did. The flavors were so perfectly balanced. Everything was fresh and you could literally feel the love that went into their cooking. I was blown away by everything by I tasted and I tasted a lot. The kibbeh, hummus, falafel, baba gandush, gyro meat, dolmas and the French fries were all fantastic. Yep, I tasted them all!! No overwhelming garlic ,or over salting,. I would take a bite and savor each unique flavor. Home made, freshly made, tastes from heaven. If you are a true Mediterranean food fan, please treat yourself and go to Sahara's. I am making my brother take me back here again before I fly back home to California. Now if I could only convince the restraint to ship food overnight to me back home. lol. My mother used to cook Mediterranean food but passed sway. Sahara's had THE BEST Mediterranean food I've eaten since my mom's passing 12 years ago. Delicious food. My taste buds are so happy!!!!!

Delicious but dinner was expensive, small menu every thing good but we thought we were ordering sandwiches but it was dinner prices- we did not know until we got the bill.

This place gives Garden Mediterranean a run for their Kibbeh OuiOui…read more I still LOVE Garden Mediterranean but they changed their menu, made the dishes smaller & priced everything super expensive. $10 for hummus? LOL. No. So I went hunting for another place, and I found East Bistro! I was driving over to Sprouts in Largo & saw it as I passed it! I made a quick U-turn & right into the parking lot I went... Right away I spot their tandoori clay oven right in the back & they have two shawarma spits right up front that smell so delicious OMG! :)... So I get some of the beef shawarma on top of the hummus... I have not had it like this before but WOZA! That is some good stuff baby! I ate almost all of it by myself. LOL I also got the Chicken kabobs. They were cooked perfectly. Nicely charred on the outside & tender & juicy on the inside, seasoned perfectly. Can not wait to order both of these dishes again OuiOui. The super surprising thing is that you get two sides with your 2 kabob platter plus rice & salad. I got the tabouli & hummus. It also comes with fresh made pita that they also make in house, which is fabulous OuiOui. But their tabouli. WOZA! Their tabouli is the best I have ever had. They make theirs with, I'm guessing, white vinegar? It's super tangy & very fresh tasting. Very pungent. Magnificent OuiOui. When I took some home for Sir Hubbers, I didn't say anything & all of a sudden he started raving about the Tabouli also. LOL Their dine in is super cute, but very small, it's mostly a take out place, everything on paper plates for dine in, which was fine. Everything is reasonably priced, entrees under $19! They bake all their own breads, make everything from scratch. And the tabouli, is a MUST ORDER OuiOui. Added to my lists of fave restaurants in the Tampa/St Pete area OuiOui. Can not wait to return! :)...

We sat outside during our meal and the ambiance and feel of the restaurant was very welcoming! As for entrees, I ordered the Chicken Gyro Platter which was very well made, seasoned perfectly, and presented very well. The chicken was very well seasoned along with it being perfectly cooked, and the Rice Pilaf was the same. Overall nothing I would change about this dish and I would recommend ordering it. Next, one of the people in my party ordered the Chicken Gyro Salad which they loved. Same as my dish, the chicken was cooked perfectly. It was also mentioned that the lettuce was extremely fresh which is always great to see. The last two members of our party ordered the Beef/Lamb Gyro Salad which they loved. Again the meet was cooked very well and the lettuce was extremely fresh and overall they both loved their meal. (We did also order the Baklava for dessert which was fantastic as well) To finish, our service was top tier and our server Tayfun was extremely attentive throughout our entire dining experience and was very friendly! Amazing 10/10 dining experience and would most definitely come here again and recommend to others!

We sat outside on the water and it was a little cool but a light jacket made it comfortable. It was a beautiful day! We started with Turkish Coffee, which was delicious! We have no idea how to "read the coffee grounds" HAHA but I can tell you mine looked like a duck and a crooked United States, if that helps anyones premonitions, LOL. We ordered the babaganouj appetizer, which was DELICIOUS!! It comes with pita, but for me, being gluten intolerant I asked for some vegetable. Waiter offered cucumber, but he only gave me 3 tiny pieces....so sad. Whatever, I wasnt going to let it go to waste so I just ate it with a fork. However I would suggest offering a proper portion of sliced cucumbers for your Gluten Free patrons, as a courtesy. I ordered the gluten free Falafel Salad and my son ordered the Yogurt Kebab. Both were very enjoyable! My falafels were moist on the inside with a crisp outer shell, my only suggestion would be to add a little Feta to the salad, wouldve been more interesting than pkind of plain and redundant--especially for just under $20. My son enjoyed his dish, even using the pita to scoop it up. We were so full and brought more than half home. The waiter was very kind and was generous to offer us a complimentary piece of Baklava (we had waited a bit for our food but it wasnt really a big deal--we were enjoying ourselves). Parking is a bit of a challenge because Columbia Rest and Backwaters has Valet that sort of capitalize the parking area-so plan ahead for that. We went at 2pm so it wasnt too difficult but I would guess dinner might be a challenge unless you use their Valet services--but Im only guessing. The restaurant is cute inside, and I saw they had a wine cooler. I think we'll go again and order a bunch of different appetizers and try some Turkish wine. I highly recommend trying Mio's!

I rarely leave reviews, but after my experience at Sarah's Mediterranean Cafe, I feel like people…read moredeserve an honest heads-up before spending their money here. Let me start by saying that the food itself is actually good. The flavors are solid and you can tell the recipes are authentic Mediterranean dishes. If this review were based purely on the food, it would probably be decent. Unfortunately, a restaurant experience is not just about what ends up on the plate it's about service, value, and how customers are treated. That's where this place completely falls apart. First off, the service was extremely inattentive. From the moment we sat down, it felt like we were more of an inconvenience than paying customers. The waitresses seemed disinterested, barely checked on the table, and when we tried to ask questions about the menu or request anything simple, the attitude we got back was surprisingly rude and dismissive. It felt like they wanted us to order quickly, eat, and leave without asking for anything outside of the most basic transaction. One thing that really stood out was their refusal to substitute sides. At most restaurants, asking for a simple side swap is a completely normal request. Here, they flat-out refused with zero flexibility or willingness to accommodate. It came off as unnecessarily rigid and frankly pretty unfriendly. When customers are paying premium prices, a little accommodation should not be too much to ask. And speaking of mistakes they forgot my fries entirely. My meal arrived incomplete, and I had to point it out. Even then, it didn't feel like it was taken very seriously. No apology that felt genuine, no urgency to fix it, just a very casual reaction as if forgetting part of a meal was no big deal. When you're charging the prices they do, attention to detail should be the bare minimum. That brings me to the pricing, which honestly feels way too high for what you get. The food is good, but not nearly good enough to justify the price point when the service experience is this poor. There are plenty of Mediterranean restaurants where you can get equally good if not better food while actually being treated like a valued customer. Overall, the biggest takeaway from my visit is that good food alone doesn't make up for bad service. Restaurants succeed when they combine great meals with hospitality and basic respect for their customers. Unfortunately, that balance was completely missing here. Between the inattentive staff, the rude attitude toward simple requests, forgotten items like my fries, and the high prices, the experience left a pretty bad impression. I really wanted to like this place, but the service made it hard to justify coming back. There are too many good Mediterranean spots out there to spend money somewhere that treats customers like an afterthought.

This is a classic example of bait and switch and cost them a star. I went ahead and ordered a Gyro Platter ($14.97 with tax) choosing 2 orders of fries for my sides. I got my order to go because I was not too keen on the cheap tables. The floor and tables were also sticky, but since a lot of businesses in the area are recovering from hurricane damage I decided that I would not hold that against them, which I consider generous because this may be the norm here. UPDATE: after reading some of the other reviews I came to the conclusion that the lack of cleanliness I experienced IS the norm. If the dining area is so filthy I shudder to think how bad the food prep area is. So take away another star. The only nice things I can say are The fries were nice and crisp, and The meat was plentiful, thick, and flavorful, and providing warmed pita pockets on the side is a nice touch. BUT The onions were practically nonexistent and the tzatziki sauce was NOT tzatziki, it was plain yogurt. Looking over the menu it says tzatziki in one place and yogurt in another. This cost them two more stars. This was my first visit, and I was not impressed by the service, the bait and switch, the cleanliness, and the lack of traditional gyro ingredients. Having earned only 1 star means I won't be back.
