    Soooooo delish!

Such a delicious and soul-filling experience at Turkish Mediterranean Cuisine in Largo, FL! We gathered for a fun culinary adventure with some amazing foodie friends, and this spot absolutely delivered. From the moment we dipped that fresh, fluffy house-baked bread into their stunning mezze platter, we knew we were in for something special. Highlights? Oh yes: * Saganaki -- flaming Greek cheese that stole the show (and got a few "Opa!" cheers). * Shrimp scampi -- bubbling hot in a clay dish, garlicky, herby, and addictively buttery. * Grilled octopus -- tender, charred just right, and plated like a work of art. * Lahmacun -- thin, crispy Turkish flatbread topped with seasoned meat and herbs, served with a bright, crunchy salad. * And that mezze platter... dreamy. Creamy baba ghanoush, refreshing cacık, spicy walnut dip, tabbouleh, and more. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and meant to be shared. The atmosphere was casual, cozy and welcoming -- perfect for a group meal filled with laughs and connection. Big thanks to everyone who came out and shared their love and light. This one's definitely going on my foodie favorites list!

Came for a birthday party with a large group and had so much fun! It's a stand alone restaurant and byob! They ordered a couple of the house mixed grills for everyone and omg it was sooo good! Great variety and spices in the meat, crusty bread and the rice was my favorite. Comes with an extremely spicy sauce as well as tzatziki. Everyone loved the roasted tomato dipping sauce for the bread and everything tasted very fresh. Highly recommend if you're looking for something local and unique.

This restaurant is delicious! The menu is full of Turkish favorites, Mediterranean classics and even some Italian fare (which we did not sample). The bread and dipping sauce they bring to the table is next level. Homemade and fresh from the oven. Incredible! Be sure to order hummus to also enjoy with the bread. The chicken kebabs and the salmon special get rave reviews from me! The vibes are fairly low.. Pleasant. But low. This place is more about the food than the ambiance. Better than the reverse, right?

Looking for something totally different for family dinner (son's B'day 01/05/26). There were 7 of us so decided on sharing our meal from appetizers to dessert. 1st off they started us off with this amazing bread ( naan?) and awesome dipping sauce, from there had a type of tortellini BUT was made from a phyllo type dough very light filled with a lamb mixture swimming in a feta / herb sauce again soo good. Along with that we shared a fried/ baked cheese dish again amazing. For our main course we had the House Special Mixed Grill, was fresh, tasty and plentiful. It consists of beef Shish, chicken shish, lamb plus another type of chicken bottom was rice . All of this was covered with a homemade light dough. Needless to say it was very impressive looking and delicious. They advertise BYOB ( which we did bring our wine) but now they do have a wine/ bee4 license. The staff was exceptional, service spot on. Oh and the price is right ($$$) very reasonable. It is locally owned and operated ... a BIG PLUS for me. Kudos to the chef, staff and local owners. Keep up the good job/ vibes..

Updating my review. Went back as we had such a great time last time and was again for there with a large party. We requested the side room and for whatever excuse we were not given it. They gave us a long table against the wall. To me this was crazy as of course our table was going to be loud as it was a birthday party and Father's Day. The server came over and told us about noise complaints from other tables which could have been handled if they put us in the side room like before. Crazy! Food is still delicious and will be back... just with a smaller table size. That or take it to go!

What a find! It's homey, it's busy and bustling, it's yummy and welcoming. My friends and I spent my last evening in Tampa dining in. Helped by a young and enthusiastic server, we sampled incredibly tender grilled octopus, shockingly moist falafel (it's usually so dry!), and sweet and crunchy baklava. My chicken adana was tasty (maybe a bit oily) and the moist rice pilaf a welcome counterpoint. It was really fun to be inside this crowded restaurant on a Saturday night. We saw a dish get lit on fire, we felt seen by the staff, and the authenticity of the spices and textures was all there.

A bit skeptical on what to expect but so glad we went in and ordered!!! We were greeted right away. The place was welcoming and plenty of seating for bigger parties. Started with the cold appetizers which is a whole bunch of dips and spread you can out on your bread. Then we opted for the mixed grill which is lamb, beef and chicken kebabs. This whole meal is good for 5-6 people. This came with individual house salad. For dessert we shared a tiramisu. There were 5 of us in our party and we were all stuffed and going home with plenty of left overs. The food was delicious and a great experience. Highly recommend!!!

What a pleasant surprise! This cozy restaurant was clean, staff were welcoming, kind and hospitable. The food was absolutely delicious! The server brought us a crispy freshly baked bread and unique sun-dried tomatoes, herbs and olive oil dip. The home made bread was superb. I had the Chicken Guvech- it was full of flavor, juicy, and the chicken was seasoned to perfection! My husband had the grouper fish and chips with a generous piece of breaded fish that was crispy, flaky and light in flavor. The accompanying coleslaw was just perfect! My husband is very picky about coleslaw and he loved it! Gokhan was our server. He was phenomenal! Very kind, friendly, patient and accommodating. We found our "go-to" Mediterranean restaurant and will be definitely going back!

Lamb Adana Kebab (Traditional Turkish Kebab) worth the price of admission might get two next time!

Ok lots of positive reviews plus a reco from a server from another restaurant and I have to say the best lamb kabob I've had in my life! I think they call it Lamb Adana. We came during off hours so plenty of parking. Them menu is huge so tons of stuff to try. Turkish coffee was like an amazing expresso. Pretty basic comfortable setting and we also had the dips platter and rice pudding which were both amazing! Honestly don't think you can go wrong here almost all locals and BYOB!

Sardines, a Portuguese favorite! My family and I were very happy to see it on the menu.

We were visiting the area as a family from out of state. We came across this gem with BYOB. I can't say enough about the food. Restaurant was very clean. Great service, amazing food!

Gyro platter main was great, but their yogurt gyro platter was much richer with tomato umami. The cheese roll and borek were delicious as well as the lentil soup. Don't skip dessert (semolina cake à la mode with plenty of cinnamon and nuts)! Recommend getting a seat outside so you can watch the ocean and the jealous birds-great even with the light drizzle around us. Great service and a must stop for the next time we are in sand key.

We sat outside during our meal and the ambiance and feel of the restaurant was very welcoming! As for entrees, I ordered the Chicken Gyro Platter which was very well made, seasoned perfectly, and presented very well. The chicken was very well seasoned along with it being perfectly cooked, and the Rice Pilaf was the same. Overall nothing I would change about this dish and I would recommend ordering it. Next, one of the people in my party ordered the Chicken Gyro Salad which they loved. Same as my dish, the chicken was cooked perfectly. It was also mentioned that the lettuce was extremely fresh which is always great to see. The last two members of our party ordered the Beef/Lamb Gyro Salad which they loved. Again the meet was cooked very well and the lettuce was extremely fresh and overall they both loved their meal. (We did also order the Baklava for dessert which was fantastic as well) To finish, our service was top tier and our server Tayfun was extremely attentive throughout our entire dining experience and was very friendly! Amazing 10/10 dining experience and would most definitely come here again and recommend to others!

I ordered the sampler platter called Trifecta and got the feta cheese on the side since I am currently dairy free. The presentation was excellent and I enjoyed everything served. We tried to eat here a couple of weeks ago, but the restaurant was closed for a week so the new management could renovate. The new management opened shop on 8/1/2026 and has improved upon the already impressive base he purchased from the old owners . In fact, they work hand in hand. The old owner still comes in the morning to provide fresh baked 'To Go' treats for the new owners to sell. Ancient family recipes passed down made for unique flavors and textures. The menu has something from every region around the med. So you can't go wrong. Abdul and 'Z' run the restaurant and kitchen like a well tuned clock. As soon as All-Star Elite Dave W. And I were seated we were brought complimentary Black Tea with several floating fresh mint leaves. Delicious. Z invited me back into the kitchen to see the new brick oven they have installed. Impressive. You can tell Z is proud of his tools and is committed to quality. Both Dave and I opted for water with our meal and were delighted to be served bottled water (No charge with a meal, $1 on its own). I ordered the Gyros Plate ($16.50). You won't find it on the menu, it needs to be updated. But there is a sign on the door that Gyros are available. Fantastic presentation with yellow rice, hummus, and a small Greek salad included. Only 2 pieces of pita pockets, but you can get more on request at no charge. The new owners are generous with helpings, but do not want food to go to waste. Extra olives on request as well. Mediterranean black and green olive medley. The Gyro meat was sliced off the rotating rack, then lightly grilled to perfection on the stove. Homemade tzatziki sauce was tasty as well. So, for all this great food and service why only 4.9 stars? The plasticware provided was the cheapest and flimsiest available. The plastic knife could not even cut Dave W's kabob. It bent in half when he tried to. Abdul took our recommendation of providing real silverware to heart and made a note. I have no doubt that on my next visit I'll see real silverware. The napkins were also the thinnest and least expensive available. I used about 20 or 30 of them. Upgrading the napkins to better quality will probably save them money in the long run because people will end up using less. Abdul was appreciative of our constructive criticism and I believe he will follow our recommendations. Next visit will definitely be five stars.

Let me start by saying that the food itself is actually good. The flavors are solid and you can tell the recipes are authentic Mediterranean dishes. If this review were based purely on the food, it would probably be decent. Unfortunately, a restaurant experience is not just about what ends up on the plate it's about service, value, and how customers are treated. That's where this place completely falls apart. First off, the service was extremely inattentive. From the moment we sat down, it felt like we were more of an inconvenience than paying customers. The waitresses seemed disinterested, barely checked on the table, and when we tried to ask questions about the menu or request anything simple, the attitude we got back was surprisingly rude and dismissive. It felt like they wanted us to order quickly, eat, and leave without asking for anything outside of the most basic transaction. One thing that really stood out was their refusal to substitute sides. At most restaurants, asking for a simple side swap is a completely normal request. Here, they flat-out refused with zero flexibility or willingness to accommodate. It came off as unnecessarily rigid and frankly pretty unfriendly. When customers are paying premium prices, a little accommodation should not be too much to ask. And speaking of mistakes they forgot my fries entirely. My meal arrived incomplete, and I had to point it out. Even then, it didn't feel like it was taken very seriously. No apology that felt genuine, no urgency to fix it, just a very casual reaction as if forgetting part of a meal was no big deal. When you're charging the prices they do, attention to detail should be the bare minimum. That brings me to the pricing, which honestly feels way too high for what you get. The food is good, but not nearly good enough to justify the price point when the service experience is this poor. There are plenty of Mediterranean restaurants where you can get equally good if not better food while actually being treated like a valued customer. Overall, the biggest takeaway from my visit is that good food alone doesn't make up for bad service. Restaurants succeed when they combine great meals with hospitality and basic respect for their customers. Unfortunately, that balance was completely missing here. Between the inattentive staff, the rude attitude toward simple requests, forgotten items like my fries, and the high prices, the experience left a pretty bad impression. I really wanted to like this place, but the service made it hard to justify coming back. There are too many good Mediterranean spots out there to spend money somewhere that treats customers like an afterthought.

We arrived at 5:45 p.m. for our 6:00 p.m. reservation and were seated promptly, which was appreciated. However, we waited about 45 minutes for our meals to arrive. While our waitress wasn't particularly attentive, she did apologize for the delay in getting our food. The restaurant itself is cute, specially outside seating. One suggestion is that the tables are larger for two people. The table next to us requested another table to be moved over to hold their food and drinks properly. The pita bread didn't arrive until later in the meal, and while it was a nice addition, it didn't make up for the small serving sizes and lack of anything to dip it into at that point. I truly wanted to love this restaurant and leave a glowing review because the food itself was very good.
